No payments as yet.

To also add, where do people think that the majority of goods they have in their homes come from.... offshore ! I've purchased thousands of dollars worth of goods from China/India, and apart from the odd over inflated customs charge, I've not had any issues to date (touch wood).

I've also had clarification on VAT/Tax import for UK customers from Alpha-T. My understanding is that Alpha will be taking delivery of all imports into the UK and as such will be liable for all import duties. In fulfilling the order from the UK they will charge VAT to UK customers. This is all legit and I would expect this from any VAT registered company. I understand also that no further delivery costs will be incurred by customers in the UK (although only possibly mainland).

I was also given their VAT number and have verified this as being correct against their company details.

Fortunately I am VAT registered myself so will be able to claim the VAT back :-)

Sure the original idea was a get rich quick scheme for GPU owners, they wanted to keep spawning more and more scams to keep cheating people out of money by selling them an endless stream of insecure crap, to keep spewing more and more such crap so who cares that it is all insecure as only idiots/suckers would ever throw money into such crap and suckers deserve to be suckered.

But unfortunately a lot of suckers have been suckered into putting a lot of money into Litecoin so it behooves us as responsible members of cryptosociety to try to secure that damn blockchain regardless of the schemes and dreams of the scammers.

That means ASICs, because until people all over the world have ASICs securing that blockchain it continues to be a train wreck waiting to happen.

It is maybe also true though that we ultimately need free open source ASICs if there is any truth in assertions that otherwise only the ASIC design companies - the owners of the designs - will be able to deploy effective hashing farms and will not distribute the hashing power.

Sure, no payments yet, just 30% deposit on preorder. If that is not payment then good luck to you.
Secondly according to their own newsletter they said that in order to save time for whoever purchase it they will be shipping directly from India.

So what do you believe, their own newsletter or somebody with 20 posts who got his own "understanding" about what they are going to to.
Sure you do have this understanding mainly if you hopped on that train and paid already.

Still down - perhaps there are those who don't want ASIC coming to LTC?

Pre Orders Now Live!

Our pre order books are now open. Please go to the desired product page https://alpha-t.net/shop/ and add your quantity to your cart to complete checkout. There are 3 payment options which will be readily available to you. All the information you need in regards to order statuses can be found at My Account > View Order.

Bank Transfers may take a few days to clear, we will allow sufficient time for these transfers to clear.

If you experience any problems our email support team at payments@alpha-t.net are available 24/7. Please only use this email only for problems with current orders and payments. Quote order # in Subject area.

Order books will remain open till we have reached our limit for batch 1. When order books close, Bank Transfer customers will have a grace period of 5 working days to complete their purchases.

All customers whose orders are successfully in the 'Processing' status, will join the Batch 1 queue and will be part of the first people to receive their Scrypt ASIC devices. Once pre order stage has been completed, our loyal customers will be getting weekly updates and will be following us every step of the way up to the delivery of their devices! We are hoping these updates will give better hash rates, better power consumption, and smaller sized enclosures than quoted!

Would be nice to know how many of each model in batch # 1!

I for one wonder if 5400+ individual orders have been placed in the few hours the ordering did work.

My 52xx order was placed @ 12:17 UTC, and from what I can see the pre-order was live for 2 hours, then after 8 hours "back live" tweet was published. Now it's been up for ~2hrs, which looks like a total uptime of 5 hours or so. That's 1000 order per hour...

Hope Alpha-T can clarify as to the total numbers in batch 1.

Did they mention how many of each miner would be made available in total? (And then the pre-order is closed.)
Think I saw that somewhere.

A friend of mine said his 54xx order was placed @ 13:08 UTC.

With numbers/times posted here so far it seems 300 per hour is a peak, so what's 5K/4 digits really?

Or did 4000+ orders go to some undisclosed investor group first?
