A good amount to invest depends on you and how much money you have at your disposal. Something you should keep in mind though is that when it comes to investing, you do not have to go all in. You should only put in the money you can afford to lose and money you do not need for the short term so don't put in loans and the likes so you don't end up in debt

Many crypto enthusiasts and many youtubers says invest only a spare of your money. Don't invest the budget of your family because you don't know what will happen if you invest all your budget on ico or bitcoin mining. When investing you need to do also a research before putting a money on a investment.

Everyone has their own understanding in this matter/ for someone $ 1000 is a large investment, and for someone $ 100 is also a large sum

there is no ideal amount of investment. it all depends on how much money you have.  usually advised to invest the amount you aren't afraid to lose. this is about 10-15% of your funds. do not invest all 100 %. this is a big risk

It is completely up to you how much much you want to invest in cryptocurrency. But my suggestion is that you invest the amount of money you want to lose in case of an investment crash, as the crypto world is risky. You will get profit once you have patience to hodl. So start with a small amount if you are a small investor.

i think there is nothing like a good amount to invest. it's not an investment you can control or oversee,
therefore, you should invest nothing but only amount you are willing to loose

What is a good amount to start with when investing into crypto?

I see lots of posts about “I have $100 / $200, what should I buy” and most of the time the answers are with that amount just invest in an ICO etc etc.

I would be interested to know what people here consider a good starting amount to invest...and I know the basics of not investing more than you can afford to loose but for arguements sake, what’s a good number to start with?

I’m not so much interested from a whale perspective of investing like $500k or $1mill, more so the normal everyday average joe male/female investor who wants to dabble in the crypto market. Would it be $1k, $2k, $5k, $10k, $20k etc? People new to the game or interested to start investing in this space may find this useful so they know a rough number which would be a good starting point before turning  that into riches (the obvious dream).

For reference I initially started with about $3k (it’s not loads but it was a start) and over time I’ve added more and more (it gets addicting) into the pot as and when I have the money to spend and when the time seems good to buy.
It all depends upon how much profit do you have and how much risk taker you are. I think there is no specific amount that you need to invest just be sure that you will monitor it so your investment won't get wasted.

Ofcourse the amount that you are willing to lose if anything happens or worst come to worst. Because here in crypto is not for short term profit but for long term profit if you be impatient here you will lose all of your money so that's for you to find out how much you are willing to invest.

I think if you can control the risk, you will get a lot of income. I think the amount you invest in bitcoin, it depends on your own even if you can invest in small amounts it does not matter, because all high risk investments

The best amount to start is depending of your financial status. If you want to get a big profit means that the amount you spend must be big too. But do not invest more than you are willing to lose.

I think for the average person not trying to day trade you should start with what you can afford to lose and then weekly add some in a few different projects that you seem good to you.

I think any amount to be invested is good. Depending on our ability and our experience in investing. For beginners better start investing with a small amount first. Beginners should know and understand first the problem of cryptocurrency before starting investing.

It depends on the assets you do have now. If one guy lives in a pretty poor country where the salaries do not exceed $200 monthly, I do not think he will invest over a hundred in the cryptocurrency.

A good amount for an investment should be the amount that you are willing to lose. I mean, if you suddenly just lose this money, you will not be very upset, you understand that today ICO and many projects have a very large amount of scam.

If we talk about investing in cryptocurrencies, this is the amount that you do not mind losing or your life will not change much after the loss of these money. Investing in cryptocurrencies is a high risk investment.

It is difficult to say how much to invest. It depends on your current financial opportunities and general well-being, the risks you are ready to take. However, I think it is possible to start from the minimum

For a good amount to invest into crypto depending on how much money you have because everyone has
different amounts for it, But use the money you are willing to lose because in the crypto world too many
resio are happening, much better when making investment or trade in the crypto market.

if you want to get a lot of results then you need to spend a large capital, so to gain profit then do not invest in something you do not understand. so invest in something you understand.

If you are still a beginner, it is better if you start small, while observing how the market and this kind of investment works. But if you have already thoroughly understood the risks as well as the possible gains from crypto investment, and its movements, then you can invest as much as you want. The bigger the investment, the bigger the profit. Try to aim at least $20,000. What you are currently doing, adding more to it every once in a while, is good. Just do not forget that you should only invest the surplus money that you have.

From my forex trading experience, I learn the need to have much capital before trading live. Because of money management and draw dawn issues. You can't force the market, the market can go up and down, and in each instance, you need to have much capital to sustain the losses in the short term. I think the appropriate amount is 1000 USD, even that , you have demo trade or paper trade your ideas before investing. Anything less than that amount should be invested in a good coin for about 1 to 2 years.

You should only invest the amount of money you afford to lose. Because investing in crypto is risky but profitable. I would suggest you to start first at small capital.
