0.14.4 fails on startup with a dialog box saying "unable to start http server" or something similar.
Can you please provide your machine type, operating system details, etc. In the meantime, you might also try rebooting your machine. windows 7/64bit, amd quad core i reboot every evening after i get home from work, when i have time on the weekend i'll give 0.14.4 another attempt. i doubt reboots will solve it however, since the older code works fine.

Wallet broken on cryptopia, from long long time. Cryptopia says, no response from gld dev regarding wallet, to investigate and to rectify, thus bring the cryptopia gld wallet in right mode. Are gld dev loosing interest in his own coin? waiting for reply....it will be helpfull to all gld coin community.

There have been two client updates in the past month? https://www.goldcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4235.0In terms of Cryptopia, I have sent them another email today asking for guidance on when trading will resume.

The popup states ' Sep 18 - Wallet in maintenance while we are working with GLD developer to investigate network issues." Goldcoin is not the only coin affected by the boondoggle at Craptopia. Last count I did myself there was over 124 coins being delisted or in "maintenance mode" - if you are going to slam someone at least get the info correct. Its on their end. I hate everyone is probably going to lose their investments (not just GLD but every coin that hackers double spent on their exchange) but learn these lessons (1) never ever ever store all your coins on any exchange. Too much can go wrong, that is what offline wallets are for (2) Always make sure you have a great team behind your investments in crypto land. I can assure you this coin is set to go way past our lifetimes unless we have ice age event, a nuclear war, our sun burns out or alien invasions (3) Try and use US exchanges like Bittrex and Coinbase. They are cooperating with SEC / FINRA and you have a much better chance at recourse if something goes wrong. And last, the most important so pay attention (5) never ever ever store all your coins on any exchange. Too much can go wrong, that is what offline wallets are for

I look at some of the events that led to the loss of many people because of the save the asset in Exchange. Nice work team. We just need to give the team time to fix any problems and I will be waiting for the next good news.

It is something called as a goldcoin pathway to the Gold Ore. Looks very stimulating my greediness.
2019 is going to be our best year ever 100%!

I get asked all time: how did Goldcoin survive all these years when hundreds of others died. It's an easy answer. Because we have the best people. Goldcoin is the 10th oldest crypto alive in the world today. #communityfirst #goldcoin

Should contact cryptopia
This is old news. The Cryptopia daemon was attacked in early September. A few days later, also in September, the Goldcoin team patched the daemon to repair the known DoS Bitcoin bug and added advanced checkpointing to our client.

It looks like it's been a long time, then what about the people who lost the coin in it? whether the redressal get coins? This is unfortunate but I hope it will be quickly resolved.

that the 51% attack happened seems that cryptopia hasnt been able to work with the goldcoin developers? Im flustered here on this one with what the devs think they can do to revive the situation? RIP GLD

RIP GLD This is not accurate. Cryptopia had several daemons that were attacked many months ago. In Goldcoin's case it was around September 4th. We are actually the ones that notified Cryptopia that we noticed a problem with unusual trading activity. https://coinjournal.net/cryptopia-has-over-100-markets-disabled-charging-fees-for-return/Shortly thereafter, the Goldcoin developers patched the client and added ACPD. Again, this was several months ago. There is no problem with the Goldcoin network and this notice is misleading at best. Client commits: https://github.com/goldcoin/goldcoin/commits/goldcoin-master

RIP GLD Have the attacks gone away? How about the final damages from the attacks? I have waited for next adjustments or improvements (serious ones) of Goldcoin team in order to prevent future potentially attacks. It is believed that the attacker used the Bitcoin DoS vulnerability to exploit several of Cryptopia's daemons. The GoldCoin client was patched in September with ACPD which is Advanced Checkpointing with Difficulty Detection. Our developers also patched the Bitcoin DoS vulnerability. We have informed Cryptopia that the network is safe but they have not responded to our last three emails. See commits: https://github.com/goldcoin/goldcoin/commits/goldcoin-masterAgain, all of this occurred several months ago. This is old news.
