Sad that the 51% attack happened seems that cryptopia hasnt been able to work with the goldcoin developers? Im flustered here on this one with what the devs think they can do to revive the situation? RIP GLD
Have the attacks gone away?
How about the final damages from the attacks?

I have waited for next adjustments or improvements (serious ones) of Goldcoin team in order to prevent future potentially attacks.

It is believed that the attacker used the Bitcoin DoS vulnerability to exploit several of Cryptopia's daemons.

The GoldCoin client was patched in September with ACPD which is Advanced Checkpointing with Difficulty Detection. Our developers also patched the Bitcoin DoS vulnerability. We have informed Cryptopia that the network is safe but they have not responded to our last three emails.

See commits: https://github.com/goldcoin/goldcoin/commits/goldcoin-master

Again, all of this occurred several months ago. This is old news.

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Welcome aboard! Now lend a hand as we take this project to #1.

Once we recapture the Bitcoin Genesis block it's the beginning of a whole new chapter.
Yes today is a moment that it is best to go back to work because of the ongoing situation improved, no time is most appropriate in addition to this day. I expect everything to go well so that makes a profit for everything

Hi everybody,

I'm having trouble with GLD on my pool. I'm using a modified yiimp stratum and I'm getting a lot of ntime: warning value ... offset -xxx seconds (xxx being the seconds it thinks is off)....
It is the only coin that's doing that... can anybody help we with that or has a clue as to what's wrong?

regards,
diMarco

The Goldcoin client contains a unique 51% defense system that requires that your system clock be within 30 seconds of network time. The issue can be sorted by closing the client, setting your date/time correctly, and then opening it again.

If you require any additional information, there are several threads available at goldcointalk.org discussing this issue. Thx.

We asked TradeSatoshi to update their coin daemon. The wallet should be out of maintenance within 72 hours. Thx.

Nice job! What justifies this valuation in the last 10 days? The hard fork will only happen in the middle of the year.

There's a lot in the pipeline.

RBH coding begins Feb 1st, 2 new exchanges, iOS redesign, Android update, mascot delivery next week, etc.

Interesting, but if there was a strong demand for GLD, things would be more fun. Every market is red, this should be when people see GLD as a way to protect their resources. Maybe in the future.

1-Might want to check to set what ip ban time is set at
2-Goldcoin is not real forgiving with multipool setups
3-people not knowing what they are doing trying to mine with bad hardware or overclocked miners
4-people trying to cheat the pool by submitting invalid shares
5-for some reason Goldcoin does not particulary like A4 miners ( I could be wrong on that but just what I have noticed with our pool)

Hello!  We notice that your coin is also listed on TradeSatoshi.  Is anyone able to use that site after logging in?

Today it seems to be suddenly insisting on Level 2 KYC verification for anything.  Is it working for people who were already Level 2 verified?

The Symbol change at Bittrex is now complete.  Goldcoin is now officially listed as GLC.  Steps will now be taken to update the other exchanges asking them to follow suit.
