well its does have more going for it then just a name, just one example; tis had a strong support team since 2013 (thats kinda rare around these parts).

ive build my own pool for this coin and whats my suprise in 38 blocks found 19 are orphans 50% orphans....

This is due to our 51% defense system. Hashrate must be applied slowly over time or the result will be a large orphan count.

What is this ? I am noob and know nothing about mining. I rented a rig and mined in atomicapool. Please tell me. Will we lose all of the coins due to orphaned block ?

Sunday Meeting April 09th Highlights

1.  Zendesk live chat added to trygoldcoin.com. This improves customer experience by providing live support in real time.

2.  Cometchat added to gldtalk.org replacing iflychat.

3.  Altcoins from the cryptsy sale continue to fly off the shelf. I updated the master list Exhibit B today to accurately reflect the remaining currencies.

4.  Getting requests for SPV wallets to improve customer experience using Goldcoin in desktop. If someone would like to contribute to this project, we can get a thread started on gldtalk.org.

5.  Something we've been missing and discussed before is a marketing presence. This problem was addressed this week with the addition of Steve Conley to the Goldcoin team. http://www.gldcoin.com/about/

Steve Conley serves as National Marketing Director. He has decades of experience in sales, marketing, and entrepreneurship. His experiences include owning and operating an Internet Hosting company,  serving as an agent in international boxing productions, and  international events production that includes the largest AIDS awareness concert  ever produced (Nairobi, Kenya - over 500,000 attendees).   He  owns We Care Worldwide, an entity that helps raise funds for numerous causes, and an internet-based  travel agency.

6.  Goldcoin added to the accepted currencies at coinpayments.net. Goldcoin integration underway on drgerald.net.

7.  Volume on c-cex and bittrex are down. We need to keep close eye on these levels to ensure we remain complaint with listing requirements. C-CEX is .2 BTC daily volume and Bittrex is .5 BTC daily volume.

8.  Looking into making a fork of the bitcoin insight API which will enable us to use the cryptowoo cryptocurrency plugin for woocommerce. Please see gldtalk.org forum thread for more information or if you would like to contribute to the project.

9.  The team is working with new community member dashed-slug to develop a Woocommerce solution that will utilize the coinpayments.net API.

Is it a good coin for daily traders? I mined few and sold them at a tiny profit. Cause I had to pay my bills. Although price seems stable so far. But it seems price and volume is going down. Why ? And I really had to fight to start mining this coin. I think we need full support from the admin. Mining is still not that much convenient.
