Nobody can say now what bitcoin could or couldn't be. It's still young, there is plenty of time to grow and go mainstream, at least other 10 years. If by 2030 in won't be something common than yes, it won't be a global currency.

I agree completely. Bitcoin has too many technical problems to become global currency number one. So we are waiting for another (decentralized) currency that will take into account all the shortcomings of bitcoin

Buy it first and then only spend it as that is the best way to go about it.

I agree with you that bitcoin will probably will never be the main global currency, but it can replace the current internet payment systems, instead of paying with credit card over the internet that will also require you to reveal your credit card details, you can play anonymously with bitcoin.

Fiat defends citizens from them-self, if regular people will start using bitcoin on a daily basis, the chances of them to get scammed is pretty high considering all the scams that are running on the cryptocurrencies market.
Unregulated market is really dangerous for some people, and that's what fiat comes to defend.

We all have a different say or opinions regarding this matter and I also think that bitcoin will never be a global currency since it is used, as of the moment, as an investment or asset by almost everyone here.

The term global currency is given to currencies that can be accessed anywhere around the globe. This is possible with very few currencies, and bitcoin is one among that with increased usage.

the world would adopt an unregulated currency, with high volatility.
For bitcoin to become the global currency, it must go through strong corrections.

Because many governments still do not recognize this one rate. This is due to concerns that Bitcoin will become a means of money laundering from crime.

for my thinking, you are right. Bitcoin's purpose cannot be the official global currency of the whole world because Bitcoin cannot be controlled by anyone and that it's price tend to fluctuate so much in a short period of time. But as we can see, Bitcoin is starting to get popular even around teens and parents. In no time Bitcoin would be a currency that would use by people for buying and transacting money even though it won't be an official currency. It can still be a currency that would change the world.

why do you think btc can not be a global currency? BTC now have a largest community. It has a lot of advantage for transaction because of its own technology. The problem of  btc now is still not stable in exchange. There are more speculation of btc. When btc is accepted in banks, it's time BTC be a global currency.

I don't concur with you. I surmise that the world is turning towards cryptographic money and later overall world will utilize crypto for their day by day installments in their neighborhood markets. I know it will require long investment however one we will see that every other money vanish from the market and just digital currency is usable everywhere throughout the world.

There have been a lot of opposition towards bitcoin from many governments, banks and other large financial institutions all over the world, so it can't be a global currency.

Well as of now, we can really and definitely say that Bitcoin cannot stand a chance to be the global currency, but no one can ever tell this for sure, because nobody holds what the future will be. I still believe that maybe with the current era we have, there is a high chance that Bitcoin or crypto currencies will lead to be one of the payment method in coming future.

I agree with some points and for Bitcoin to become the global currency in the world it should be used by majority of people and it should be accessible to everyone which can be happen but the main problem is many holders and investors are leaving Bitcoin in a higher rate due to it's uncertainty which is a real disadvantage for Bitcoin and only time can tell what will happen in the end

Bitcoin as of now is a world cash from the position that is utilized by individuals at relatively every mainland on the planet. But since of the reasons that you have portrayed it will never be standard cash or authority money in some nation. In any case, from my perspective that wasn't the objective and it shouldn't be the objective of bitcoin.

Additionally the way that through web association bitcoin is accessible everywhere throughout the world makes it worldwide and offers chance to all countries on the planet to utilize it and that is the magnificence of bitcoin.

Of course, Bitcoin can be a world currency. However, Bitcoin is not valid in all countries. But seeing the popularity of Bitcoin,it will be the world currency for a time.Only the bitcoin has been known in all the countries, which could not make any other coins.Everywhere they are Bitcoin, world Currency Will be.
Good opinion and I like the way you think.
I agree with you that bitcoin will probably be a major global currency, but can replace the current internet payment system, instead of paying with a credit card via the internet that will ask for our credit card details, we can play anonymously with bitcoin.
If you look back on the popularity of bitcoin is very large, but I'm sure someday bitcoin will become the world currency after everyone believes in bitcoin.

in addition to bitcoin, there are many other coins and technologies. therefore, we can not say for sure that bitcoin will not be a global currency, because the idea of bitcoin can give an idea to another coin
