Actually bitcoin now is a global yet digital currency because in my opinion the basis of being a global currency is if that coin is available in most of country like usd however they only differ on their characteristic which is bitoin can be used for online while usd in physical. Bitcoin is just going to be a currency accepted globally by some part of the global population and even though it makes transaction easy for a lot of people, the governments cannot accept it to be the official currency and would rather regulate it to benefit from it. I want to imagine that you are assuming bitcoin to be the only currency being used globally.
