Yes its a basic thing but would really be hard to do even on experienced investors how much more on newbies it would really be not an easy thing even though it sounds to basic. Researching all the factors needed would really requires time and we do know that not all people would really be sensible enough on the things what they do which causes mistakes and regrets when unexpected circumstances might happen along the way.If we arent careful on any things we do engage then expect there would really be negative things would happen.

The only way is protecting ourselves by making your own research before you're starting to invest in those projects. The common mistakes people get scammed was they just read the whitepaper and then invest their money they don't even investigate the team behind the project whether the team is legit or not. This is so bad because you know scammer are trying the best to make their ICOs look promising and legit.

Denaro is just one example of so many ICO scams. https://denaro.io/ is also down and the team is nowhere to be seen and traced. ICO world is open for everyone and there is no filter to stop bad guys from launching an ICO. Do proper research before investing in any ICO as chances of recovery are zero.

Like seriously, most of you here do make mistakes a lot. Yes you’re very right bro. There are lots of risks involved in Bitcoin and once you lose your money, it’s gone once and for all and you are not getting it back. So if anyone wants to get into ICOs he should ask others in the forum and know what they think of it and also know those who are into the same. we should not only be careful about bitcoin or altcoin trading but we need to be even careful about in our day trading, , in fact trading is not so easy as we take it, for becoming a good and successful trader one need to have good trading skill as well as good study about the market and then he can expect to become succeeded in trading.

For sure it is not good to trust anyone blindly, it good to make research about it and ask the surrounding marketing’s about it so then invest, ICO should be your second choice because keep bitcoin at first priority, no wise investor would like to follow ignorant people, so be wise and never sell at panic, search about it and then make some kind of decision, don’t rush to buy or to sell at any cost.

often times we are reminded to be extra careful in investing but still often times too there are people victimized by scammer...but if you are a resourceful person and knowledgeable enough before  investing, no one will become a victim.

The only possible way because of which you will be able to make more money in the future is to make a wise decision and that investing your money at the right place. If you will not make any good decision and that you will invest at place which can hardly bring anything good for you, then you will only regret of what you have decided and that you will be left with nothing in your hand.
