From my point of view ico is still legit by the means of using it as a investment but if you do not know what is that certain ICO that maybe a good help for you but lacking this may bring doom to yourself so make sure you know what you are going to invest

How to find a legit ICO is the question everyone asks but there is no way you are going to find a legit ICO in the current market scenario. Most if not all of the ICOs are scams or with no future. And the prices at which they are being valued is simply unsustainable. Some of the ICOs are being valued at a price more than the potential revenue they can earn.

Study, review and research is the best way to find a good ICO. Reading the whitepaper and roadmaps. Researching the background of the team and advisers and the concept of the project. You can also check the project in ICObench and ICOtracker

That's the most important part before joining or getting into an ICO know the project first before getting part of it. As this time when cruptocurrency is very trending may ICOs are coming out and many are scam and even if it's a legit ICO others will fail when the fund raising will not reach their target. Above all the very important part of investing is "Only invest money you can afford to lose."

Yeah, ICOs are legit and have permanent visibility. Many guys are still depending on it. Though its little bit hard to judge and invest for a right one. I already involved in some more projects Bitcoin is one of them. And other projects are- BTC, PTC, Etherdum, SciDex, Altcoin.

It was never really "legit" and I would claim the market now is even worse for the average investor than before. Unless you got some hookups or are able to get on a white list will a level playing field, fugget about it.

It was also never really illegal. Right now, there isnt any official statement release that is in depth for ICO yet. I would have to say that ico market isnt that easy making money now. In the past, you can see ico x10 or even x100 or x1000. This is because fund rise is less than 1mil etc. So they will have room to grow. But right now, good ico will already want to rise like 30-40mil.

I sometimes still find it difficult to choose the correct pay ICO and promising. my benchmark is but if sales success the ICO said it could then also be able to produce. or follow the manager who already has the name also sometimes bring luck.

Good ICO will really rise and increase it's marketcap easily, people support project that has a real future and although the market
is not yet fully regulated, we can see now that people are smarter and they will not easily fall with the scams in the community. I believe the government
has no reason to make it illegal, but they have to regulate this.

The problem right now is that legit ICO's are outnumbered by fake ones, there are some decent ICO's out there and distinguishing the good from the bad ones is very hard. Anyway, @OP you might want to try looking to www.menlo.one they will act as a review site platform for all upcoming ICO.

You can find a legitimate ICO  by doing your own research. You cannot find it by asking others opinion because each one have their own ICO that they promote. Make sure you check the team, the idea and the roadmap of the ICO you invest.

You can not find a lawful one, most likely you will need an ICO which will surely pay, because they are all legal!

Not all are legit, but not all are scam either. However, if I wanted to take a look at their project, I would like to see if they have a working MVP, legit social media profiles of each team member (which was the hardest part), community events, amazing roadmap, etc. For me, if an ICO passed any of the four factors I’ve mentioned, I’ll consider them as legit. Even if promoted by celebrities but missed any of these factors, I remain doubtful to get in there. Just my two satoshis.

Here is lot of iCO. How i find legit ICO.

Too many new projects, and everyone is seen waiting each other. It might be a good idea to wait for a successful project to release in the market, but if everyone waits, a really good project will find it difficult to get optimal support.

How to find that the project is a scam? Are there any visible sign? For the past few months I'm doing a research for SciDex (SciCoin). Is this one legit?

Right you are! I am 100% agree with you here. There are tons of ICOs in the market and everyday launching new projects as well. Its very hard to judge and find out the right one. Need to research about the project before investing, know about them well, reputation. For my business solution (scientific data) I am looking at SciDex. Much more helpful. I appreciate it.

I think it is very difficult to find a legitimate ico with the current market conditions. No one knows exactly how to distinguish it, but I learned in some points that could make us avoid ico scam or something like that. Like looking at a good ico review, seeing the purpose of their ico, roadmap and much more. I suggest if you are looking for good ico do some research first to ico them.

There are still legit ICOs out there. Make sure to do your research before though. Check the teams and the Board Advisors ( if they are well known in the crypto community that´s a big sign of credibility). Also any partnerships that he company may have with other known brands and if they have a working product. If all of this seems alright in most occasions the ICO will be legit too.
