Got a guy that can do the work on the wallet. At this point I'm thinking kiss(keep it simple stupid) as I don't want to step on thundertoe's...uh toes, but I want coin control and patched OpenSSL asap. If at least one person can match me I'll offer a bounty of 400 Tek to patch this wallet: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B6FbZoRgtIW2SHFpUlNIMlVpLVk/edit?pli=1Any takers?

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

In any other case I wouldn't want to step on thundertoe's...well ummm...toes. However, TekCoin is SHA256-based and it doesn't look like it has been updated to address the HeartBleed exploit. Since this poses a great risk to investors, I say that we go ahead with creating an updated wallet. Throw in some coin-control and perhaps get rid of the stupid small text/custom fonts. Also a new logo would give this coin a new lease on life. I am sure Thundertoe would have no problems with the community adding value and security to Tekcoin.

Yeah the OpenSSL update is a must despite the minuscule risk it poses. Didn't think of a font change as I don't have much trouble reading it with the removed gradient version I linked to, but that's probably a good idea too. Can I consider this a firm commitment to match my own 400 Tek bounty for this work? OpenSSL patch to latest(heartbleed fix) Coin control added New font

He has already taken a look and said that the wallet is a mess(unsurprisingly) and will take significant effort to bring up to date. He will not do the work for 400 Tek, but perhaps 800 Tek will be enough. If he agrees I will pay him the full amount upon completing the work and will hold you to your word to reimburse me half the bounty on or around the 8th of may. Thank you!

I did not notice. We'd be getting a proper github repository for the Tek wallet finally so that'd simplify future development as well.

I am trying to recruit a great dev right now, better than myself hands down and would be great to have him onboard. I have hired out for a new logo and looks amazing, same people working on a website(domain and hosting is now paid for the year). ill post back today with update. can we get a running total what we can raise for this? hes one of the best and done many trusted successful projects in crypto. Ill throw down as much as i can to pull him in. If we can get a decent pile he can come post about taking the work. Ill start with adding 1000TEk to the bounty for the new dev work( the one "i am" trying to recruit) https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Qnie347UvJRc1IhnSmdtOyyUXJWZjVYntfREXAj-bP4/edit?usp=sharing

I just got FaSan to agree to do the work mentioned above for the litecoin equivalent of 800 Tek. I don't believe he's begun working yet, but he fixed up the Zeitcoin wallet really quick like. It's not too late to call him off you'd prefer. Edit: I've pm'd FaSan and asked him to hold off until we can work out exactly which direction we're going.

minting icon would be great. like in PHS - also it's good to add "unlock wallet" option to the settings menu.
