Stupid newbie post forthcoming Cheesy

Sorry. I'm a complete Linux/ubuntu newbie. But windows 8 finally inspired me to quit dealing with windows.

Now, my problem. I can't seem to make the TEK wallet. I thought I had followed the instructions explicitly from the source, but it exits with errors every time. Could one of you give me a step by step breakdown of what I need to do? I'd like to be able to have both qt and the headless, if possible.

Ain't got a lot, but 1 TEK to whoever gets me rolling.

I have had TEK take 35 days to stake before.  Just keep your wallet open and it will come.  There is a bit of a luck factor involved too, just like with PoW mining.

We need a new wallet and to see the coin's dev with greater frequency. Undecided The value of tek could be much higher, but the thread is like a ghost town and development has been nil for months at a time.

With the lack of dev support and little to no community I'd highly doubt it....

TEK is already on Mintpal coin voting page.
I vote for TEK every day but we need more voters to get it added to exchange.
Every user is limited to 5 votes per hour.

yeah the lack of volume is really a huge problem right now, if you were to want to invest big in this coin you would probably get stuck on the exchange for months trying to get your tek at a decent price

but i gues that s what makes it valuable in the first place right

TEKcoin is building slowly, we still are under 700k coins and many people are holding tight. I think TEK is very cheap, the coin generation rate is very low(under 700k total since sept) and the price can be sustained with only a tiny amount of bitcoin I think things are looking good, we have updates coming and once they are done the website will go up and we can move onto serious pr like Reddit campaign.  We are TEKcoin. Our rewards will be proportional to the community we create and work we do together. TEKcoin is just getting started, and i think it will only get better. the fact that tekcoin has had very little pr and "selling" yet, actually gives me confidence, in price going up long term vs if it had been promoted to death already for months and peaked.

The Six Million Dollar TEKcoin

TEKcoin, cryptocurrency. A coin barely alive. Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the technology. We have the capability to build the world's first bionic coin. TEKcoin will be that coin. Better than it was before. Better, stronger, faster.

Great post thundertoe. Yeah Tek is rather unique in that it's one of the very few really good sha PoS coins and that it rewards it's holders handsomely. Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

hello everyone, i just bought about 0.1 btc worth of tekcoins on cryptsy which has been very hard, considering NOONE seems to want to sell their tek.
So i was impatient and bought into the sellorder book (i know it's bad); the thing that bothers me is that this little buy made the price go up about 7000sats.

Now, what if i want to sell my interests over the next months? will i just crush the price? should i offer to sell/buy tek on the forum? what is thebest solution and how do you guys buy/sell your teks?
