Yes, I see many people who follow the programs they don't get free coins and the program a scam like an airdrop. For I have long gone and lots happened scam and I don't get the coins. And there are many results of airdrop that has no value and does not enter the market of crypto.

Most of the time in my experience, when something is free and seems too good to be true then it usually is. Scams are created in such a way to make sure that the most gullible of people fall for them. So when you see something that looks too good to be true, then you should run away from it. There is no way to get rich quick in crypto

Some airdrops require you to take a series of action or do some activities before you are eligible for the airdrop. After sacrificing few minutes of your time to do that you will be amazed that at the end of the day you won't get anything or the tokens received would be worthless. I think that is a scam.

Just becarefull when joining airdrop from uknown project and dont have any good reputation because just by only by filled the form possible they can harm your device and steal your private key. To be more safe just joined airdrop from legit company and also they run ICO.

Many of the airdrops are not airdrops, they ask for email and sometimes even for KYC information and thus they can be a scam indeed and the data may end up in the darkweb.

Yes, something free can be considered as a scam. By definition, scam is referred to as a dishonest scheme, therefore, if a project claims something and did not happen, (e.g. giving free airdrop coins which is equivalent to a specified amount and ends up not real) is considered a scam because of its dishonest claims. Not because you did not give or lose any money doesn't mean it is not a scam, you lose more than what you think in case of flling up personal information/details.

yes of course it could happen, in cryptocurrency all possibilities can happen, all of them can do a scam if they want it, and lots of airdrop that scam because it could be ico they offer fail and do not have many buyer so create product fail, many like that, you better be careful when participating in ico or airdrop.

Pretty much tho, mostly something free could be on scam, well I'm not saying that all the give away or all kinda stuff are scam. But anyway the scam doesn't take your coins out, so you just might to be careful.

So I am wondering how can something that doesn't cost you a penny be a scam. Sure, they get your email adress and maybe a ETH Adress, but how can you  really be scamed with only this informations? I am not talking about airdrops that require kyc registration, that for sure can be dangerous.

Of course it can be. Scam is a fraudulent act. If people were going to take your means with fraud, but they did not succeed, it does not remove any charges from them. In addition, in forms of airdrops very often asked to specify a private key from the wallet or go to the fishing link ..

Any rewards committed which was did not turn into reality is still a scam. We don’t need to make an investment to consider it as a scam. And this scenario is very rampant these days. I think there are things to be done to minimize this. Because this might pull down the credibility of the crypto world.

Let me tell you about the golden rule of economics. "There is no such thing as free lunch." Nothing is totally free. When it comes to airdrops, majority are scams but there's still 5% that is legitimate and are doing it for marketing purposes. But always remember that something isn't really given way free. There's always a hidden motive.

Most of "free" coins airdrops and etc... are scam, be careful and use new eth adresses when you participate on bounties or airdrops, and collect your tokens in cold wallet (outside pc/book)

There were a lot of very beautiful airdrops in the past. Airdrop in itself is not a scam but don't forget to keep safe your data, password, mail, private key etc. Actually I don't see any serious airdrop around here.

Ofcourse it is still a scam. Yes it doesn’t cost you a penny but you are working for it, you spent time working by adverstising the projects when it comes to signature campaign for a reward in return. You give your information like your account information and your wallet address. There are still amount involve in the situation, so you can still call it a scam.

I do not consider this a scam, but among Airdrop there are a lot of fraudulent projects, and from this one can not escape anywhere.
