Media websites, news websites and TV stations will market bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. If you have noticed from the last ATH, we still can see here and there talks about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general by various sources. People can still write blogs, create their videos and when you have some people with influence do this things even tell little about it more people will become aware. On the next ATH there is going to be even more talks about it. Banning ads is okay I guess as it eliminates a lot of phishing and scam advertising that we've been seeing all over the place.

ICOs still can do promotions through bounties and such things if they wanted to.

You are using Internet Explorer, or what? C'mon, it's one week old news. And it was already discussed on Bitcointalk in so many threads already. Before starting new thread try to use search to be sure that similar thread wasn't already started by someone else.
Is that a problem for bitcoin too or only ICO's ??
Twitter will ban cryptocurrency ads. Bitcoin is cryptocurrency, so it's problem not for ICO's only, but also for Bitcoin.
But direct influence will be not big, it mainly affect Bitcoin related services such as exchanges, wallets, shops and etc.

I don't think that twitter banning cryptocurrencies ads would anyway affect bitcoin. A lot investors are still buying bitcoin and its popularity is also increasing.

I think so they just do it because they have no income here. Do you advertise on social media with free of charge about social media. How much money do they have to lose? I think they're just looking for income to ban it Smiley.

Exactly, it won't effect Bitcoin market because it will affect only ICO market but there are many other ways where people are investing. Already we have seen many advertising related projects has been launched their ICO through Blockchain, maybe people will start approaching those websites.

I hope that this will not gonna happen. Twitter is huge thing for ICO campaign one of the easiest way to promote bounties . For sure twitter will just make a regulation  about crypto currency how  to eliminate scammers but to the point that  they will ban crypto currency.

many social networks are beginning to ban advertising crypto world! I'm sure it's not just that! most likely they are pursuing their own profit! or simply they start to manage very large wallets! for example: many bankers do not like it, then they have their capitalization in bitcoin and the crypto market!

These mainstream medias don't want to be stained by some scam ICOs or any scheme that involves cryptocurrencies. And this is also for the safety of their subscribers / users which right. Bitcoin will not be affected by this because by now, even without advertisement, bitcoin is being talked about. New ICO's will be having a hard time now but they will be deserving if they manage to pull off and gain investors without the help of mainstream medias.

Last month, there's an issue regarding ICOs advertising being banned on Facebook and its on twitter now. I really don't know if there's a problem in ICOs but one thing that comes up to my mind is protecting the identity of people. Actually, bitcoin can be a source of danger because as you can see, it is really attractive in the eyes of people with bad intention. The thing is, does the advertising of ICOs in any other social media has been followed or not?

I don't really see this as a huge issue, I do not believe the advertising of ICOs is really a high quality or conversion means of advertising for these projects anyway. All these changes may just force the industry to become more professional in its approach.

Get yoyr facts straight. They don't necessarily banned all cryptocurrency ads on the social networking site. They only banned those cryptocurrency advertisements that seem to pose harm and thenones that seem very suspicious of a scam. Media only exaggerated tge news and told everyone that bitcoin and other cryptocurrency as wellcas advertisements were banned on twitter. Possibly to discourage investors.

There are two potential issues going on.

The first is the issue of trying to censor exposure to anything cryptocurrency related. It's possible that may be going on, though I rather doubt it, but even so, there remain multiple sources of information on all things cryptocurrency-related. Advertising on those sites tends to be better targeted anyway if it's crypto-related, so it seems that's where cryptocurrency ads will go.

The second issue is that within the cryptocurrency industry, sadly, there are lots of scams, including many ICOs, and those are the ones most likely to pursue advertising on more general sites like Twitter and Facebook. Those scams are a blight on our industry. I'm pretty sure that's the real intended target of censoring on the part of the big social media networks. Although I'm not advocating for complete removal of all such ads everywhere (free speech and all), quite frankly, any large site that does anything to reduce the amount of scam ads is doing the industry a favor. Hopefully our industry can get to the point of self regulating that.

It's sad that a lot of projects are scammers and the more such projects, the more people lose money and this makes a bad reputation for all ICOs and crypto-currencies. Facebook, Twitter and other companies are trying to protect people from losing money, so it prohibits advertising of all cryptocurrency! When there will be control and regulation of absolutely all projects, then they will allow advertising!

The problem with ICOs is that there are nor regulations in place. Companys need legal grounds to work on, so they need regulations they can work with. The more mainstream crypto coins will become, the more regulations will kick in and i guess the same goes for ICOs in the long run. So lets wait a year, hodl and see Grin

It can have an effect on the bitcoin prrice...obvoiusly any FUD that media creates has to have a bearing the prices of the crypto currencies. Also ICO's are definetely gonna get affected as it might affect the prices directly for the most obvious reasons.

Twitter has been a hub for the crypto advertisements and was much like the forum to promote the new offerings. So yes this ban will be affecting many ICOs. But sooner or later this was destined to happen because the regulators were keenly foolowing these scandals and their negative bearing. This had creaated a negative image in the minds of many people.

Is it real news that twitter banned crypto currency ads?I only knows that facebook banned it and google in June but just now found that twitter too but if possible provide the link to that news to get clear idea of what is that ban about for ICOs or for the crypto currencies.

I don't think it will have a negative impact, not many people look at these ads anyway. Most people who are interested in crypto will simply follow the coin that they are interested in and see ads that they would see on other websites.

Google, Facebook, Snapchat, now Twitter. However I don't see this being a problem for crypto currencies in general. The best advertisements will come from news reports and documentaries. People will have to seek the information, unfortunately it won't be blasted into social media feeds anyone.

BTC is pretty much established and already have a following so I don't see it being affected as much. It's really the ICOs that are being targeted. Let's face it, many ICOs turned out to be scams and these companies don't want to be associated with these. I see it more like how Youtube demonetized videos that their advertisers see as "not family-friendly".

Some may see conspiracy, I see it as business as usual. In time as regulations come out reducing the chances of a successful scam, they might allow ads back. It's one their ways of making money after all, at least Google and FB.

Do you have any genuine link of that news?

Whatever,
I don't think that twitter will also ban cryptocurrency ads.Right now people investing on ico by seeing their announce thread on this forum. So if twitter ban ads then it't won't create a much problem.

Twitter banning Cryptocurrency ads can and will take a major down toll on the Cryptocurrency markets. Twitter has grown overtime to be a major tool in Cryptocurrency advertisements. I know a lot of bounty hunters that do depend and prefer twitter campaigns to other social media. I do hope there will be a reconsideration later on, as regards their backing out.

Where are your sources about this matter?

Up until this time Facebook and Youtube are showing some of ICO's Ads. and I really don't know why it still happening even though there are rumors spreading that they will not cater any advertisement about it.
If Twitter will do the same then Twitter campaigns will be still there doing the thing for this Ads. or they will be banning also the Twitter accounts that is involve in sharing related ICOs tweets.

Social Medias are one of the best platforms in the Internet that can showcase advertisement and without a doubt this will really affect the incoming ICOs.

My question is what are the next alternatives to twitter, facebook and google? I also think similar social idea can be raised in this forum to inform others when others bring restriction. Most solution comes when there is problem. Telegram and reddits are still relevant with cryptocurrency for now and it should used maximally.

Twitter will follow Google and Facebook's lead in banning cryptocurrency ads.

The ban will roll out Tuesday, and become fully enforceable for all advertisers within a month, including initial coin offerings and token sales.

It will also cover ads by cryptocurrency exchanges and cryptocurrency wallet services.

Is that a problem for bitcoin too or only ICO's ??
Is it real news that twitter banned crypto currency ads?I only knows that facebook banned it and google in June but just now found that twitter too but if possible provide the link to that news to get clear idea of what is that ban about for ICOs or for the crypto currencies.
This issue is widespread in all the medias .

No google, facebook, twitter banning cryptocurrencies advertisements can not stop bitcoin growth. the current bearish market sentiments will be over soon  and we can expect a bull run from early april. The ban will only effect ico's.

Social websites are banning advertisements related to cryptocurrencies. This is not a big problem for both Bitcoin and ICOs. Yes, this will affect the promotion strategies of Bitcoin exchanges or ICOs, but the affect will be little.. We still have many platforms and forum where anyone can discuss anything about Bitcoins. People can still write blogs on cryptocurrencies. ICOs can approach those websites for displaying their advertisements. Also, this will neither stop the investors from investing in cryptocurrencies.

Thing is this could be the start of a more harsh pressure on crypto by the social networks. If they completely ban pages and announcements no starting coin can survive.

in this world of cryptocurrencies i believe in Ideas, creativity of new things gonna make us a development and change to the best, honesty in work, that what gives the coins its value, neither google or facebook or twitter decreases currency value if its project is strong and purposeful.

I believe this is not the thing which FB or twitter decided to do at the same time. That sites losing lots of money by blocking some of the adds which is their main income. I believe someone ordered them to ban cryptocurrency. None of the banks want to lose income for cryptocurrency. They don't want to people  show interest to crypto

Thing is this could be the start of a more harsh pressure on crypto by the social networks. If they completely ban pages and announcements no starting coin can survive.

They won't ban posts or pages dedicated to crypto, because if you don't strictly search for it yourself, you won't be seeing it, so it's not a problem. Ads however may pop up everywhere, even if people aren't necessarily active in that specific field, regardless of how advanced their algorithm is, and that's something they no longer want to happen. I don't completely agree with these measures, but I do understand the external pressure forcing them to do this. On the other hand, the majority of the crypto related ads were pointing at malicious entities, and that is now gone. Maybe, maybe if crypto gets more regulated, these policies might change for the good, but that's something that could take years and years before we see it change....

I guess this is a good news.  Look if they dont spend money in crypto ads,  they would rely on bounty. They will  need bounty hunters to do the marketing.

Another thing 50% of sites posted from Google, Twitter and FB are philsting sites. Banning all of them will eliminate the scams.

Twitter will follow Google and Facebook's lead in banning cryptocurrency ads.

The ban will roll out Tuesday, and become fully enforceable for all advertisers within a month, including initial coin offerings and token sales.

What?! Before, facebook and google and then now, twitter? Is that true?! (I can't verify it for myself because i don't have a twitter account).

If this news is legit then I'm pretty sure that it will greatly affect ICO's sales because some of them have twitter campaigns. On the other hand, i don't think btc will be affected since it is already well known compare to alts.

Not only twitter banner crypto currencies but most Social Media banned crypto currencies ads. Many of us are now advertising crypto currencies in social medias because we all know that it can help us to promote it there in that way many people will know more about cryto currency.

I get the sketchy ICOs, but wtf, the CEO is really deep in crypto so why is he trying to stifle it? This seems counterintuitive, or maybe he's got regulators breathing down his neck or something. Idk, when you're that big you should do what's right and keep moving forward, not give in like this.

I hope it doesn't happen. Twitter is one of the easiest ways to promote an ICO event.

These mainstream media do not want to be tainted by some scam ICO or any scheme involving cryptocurrency.

Such a ban will not affect anything. In any case, it should not affect the rate of bitcoin and other crypto currency. This ban on ads should only clear this network of fraudulent ads. The ICO itself should not suffer from this. because there are many more ways to advertise their projects, including on this forum. From this, the significance and image of this forum only increases and this is one of the positive moments of such a ban.

news on the ban on bitcoin in social media makes bitcoin and Altcoin prices go down. at the moment we have seen that bitcoin and Altcoin are getting cheaper. everyone is worried about the state of bitcoin and Altcoin in the market because they are afraid of losing more if the price of bitcoin and Altcoin cheaper.

Twitter already banned bitcoin and every cruptocurrency ads after google announced it early this month. Because of this, bitcoin prices are going low. However I believe that this prices will still go up. I think this ban only affects bitcoin prices not all ICO because ethyrium is already taking the front stage

I don't think that twitter banning cryptocurrencies ads would anyway affect bitcoin. A lot investors are still buying bitcoin and its popularity is also increasing.
I think it will affect. in fact this news alone will affect the price of crypto because many investors will start panicking which will result from them withdrawing their fund. if you see the crypto market now you will see the price of bitcoin is now below 8k. just wait and see what will happen when the media start to write about this but on the long run the market will adapt to this situation and the coin will start growing again. when one door of opportunity close the other one opens. twitter, facebook and google banning crypto ads will not be the end of cryptocurrency

Well, let's take a look from the positive perspective. I think now the only place for crypto advertising is this forum.
So, its good news for bounty hunters. ICO project should raise the token allocation for signature campaign.

the prohibition of bitcoin ads on twitter, google and facebook will give you a slice on bitcoin prices, this means that twitter, google and facebook do not believe in bitcoin, more and more do not believe in bitcoin so the future of bitcoin will be less good, I hope this kind of situation do not last long and I hope also twitter immediately revoke the decision or the plan because bitcoin has many benefits and advantages

True, twitter now follows facebook and google to ban crypto ads, but that's just in the beginning, affecting bitcoin prices, bitcoin will definitely go back up again in the next few weeks, even though social media prohibits crypto advertising, it will not affect investors for investment , they can still find information about crypto, on the web or on this forum.

constantly unpleasant news. Countries are afraid for their banks and their own currency. Trying to crush the crypto market, but it's all useless. The fact that Twitter prohibits advertising of crypto currency. first of all it will hit the ICO and the development of the blockchain system. In general, this is very unpleasant news for the market.

Most likely it is! But also care about people who can lose money in this too! Advertising is prohibited, and we can do posts and tweets of the promotion of ICO and participate in the bounty campaign. Crypto currency will stand before this blow and will develop!

There will be an effect from the banning as its going to reduce the number of platforms advertisement can be done. This means it will be harder to promote and reach a larger audience. It's suggested that i will be more of a problem for ICO's because they rely more on advertising to get their message out. Also, a lot of the Bitcoin ads that were being made were more scams than legit adverts.

There is no need to worry about the banning of the cryptocurrency ads from twitter because it already happened in the social platform called facebook but i can still see a lot of promotions in that social network and i will still see the same thing in the twitter because of they banned he advertisement for cryptocurrency then the people who supports cryptocurrency will do it manually using their account.

They don't necessarily ban all cryptocurrency ads in the social networking site twitter, what they did is banned the ads that seems to suspicious to let it pass and the ads that they deem are coming from ICOs that are reported for scamming their users. I think it is just good but the Media is just exaggerating things.

I think it's very useful because they remove all spamming accounts. If the result of that is very good then I agree with the twitter team.

i think that it's not about bans accounts, the bounty stays work always, i think that they target the paid advertising for the company, for example google company they will never accept Ads for ICO's and cryptocurrencies in google adsense as long as the ban is  in force , but everyone can launch an video for any coin he want in youtube.

can be a problem in increasing the popularity of a token, because when a social media is a place to share information, it will slightly lower the enthusiasts and investors. so, hopefully twitter does not block the ad retweet and tweet.

Twitter already banned bitcoin and every cruptocurrency ads after google announced it early this month. Because of this, bitcoin prices are going low. However I believe that this prices will still go up. I think this ban only affects bitcoin prices not all ICO because ethyrium is already taking the front stage
All such action do really hit crypto coins hard but the poor thing is, still bitcoin or altcoins could not be eliminated from the face of Earth. These have the potential to survive even under the toughest situations, they can take up all the hatred from twitter and will keep on growing anyways. Actually, there is nothing new about this banning. Many countries have been doing such lame actions against crypto currencies only because it can hurt their power and control.  Just because they can’t peek into other’s doing anymore. Twitter is pathetic

They actually didn't ban bitcoin, or have they banned all ads dedicated to promoting cryptocurrency. They only banned those they deem unhealthy for their community and tge ones that they deem are very suspicioua and untrustworthy. Some ICOs and Bitcoin-affiliated services could still be seen advertising in the social networking site. Media juat exaggerated the situation in hopes of discouraging a lot of potential investors.

we have seen this already, from facebook to google and now twitter. Twitter banning ads will not make any change or have any effect on crypto, this will only affect those company hunting for wide spread of their project, so keep calm!

This is really a sad news for cryptos currency because Twitter is the most popular social way to advertise Bitcoin and altcoins also.
I think there should be a soultion for this banned because this could damage so much to the cryptocurrency market.
There is no need to be sad because for me there is  no reality in this kind of news people spread this kind  of roomer about bitcoin only because they want bitcoin price to be down and get will get the opportunity to buy bitcoin at very cheap price, I have seen a lot of tweets about the recent price of bitcoin, they were motivating people to make bitcoin as an investment and no need to let the other people who are making false news about bitcoin to spoil your profit, let them say what they want to say, just hope for profit and hold your bitcoin.

The Twitter ban as it is now only stops ICO from placing ads on the Twitter platform.

You can still post about ICO's ... bounties are not yet effected.

I expect Twitter to ban you from posting the promotion of ICO's  shortly.

You may still be able to RT about the product of service at ICO provides  but noting about Token sales, or ICO itself.

Ouch? That thing is very awful that the social medias nowadays banned the advertisement of cryptocurrency
which leads them to limit their ways on how to improve their image and popularity.

i think repost and retweet about cryptocurrency post still ok in facebook and twitter. they only ban cryptocurrency advertisement that people's pay and facebook/twitter display it on their page constantly

I'm a bit strange to twitter, why twitter prohibits cryptocurrency, while twitter legalize porn content. Let's think about that, better crypto or porn?
They find that facebook and google forbade advertise cryptocurrency, so twitter also has thoughts like facebook and google. But I still see that some ICO projects are still being advertised on Twitter

It is not complete ban , i can see still many ICOs operating from their twitter accounts and people promoting their projects and ICOs . only ban is that they can do advertise on twitter officially and it will not affect them so much , even facebook now reversed the ban .

it's not that big sadness, we still have bounties, everything gonna be stable, only news affects on the market few days.
This is not relevant information. Most bounties continue to work with social networks further. There is no prohibition. If this ban was, then would be suspended projects oriented to promotion on Twitter.

Yeah, i heard these news lately. Banning crypto ads in Twitter will not totally affect coins. There are many more websites to promote the crypto and they can do is make some post or tweet do some marketing strategy now it is like an ad.

The impact  won't be much really, it won't even create FUD as we are used to such media suppression. Most crypto enthusiastic get their  information elsewhere. I believe  you can still tweet crypto related contents on account

Yes it does not really affect the price of crypto, but we know there are many projects that advertise it on the largest social media is twitter. I think twitter is very helpful for crypto growth, because there used to be a lot of crypto ads on twitter and there are lots of altcoins that run their promotions on twitter. With this prohibition the crypto space will become narrower and crypto must have a new alternative that can build crypto become more developed and more popular.

Google and Facebook have long announced that they will ban ads about crypto. But until now I still see crypto Ads on Facebook pages and also google.
I think twitter will also do the same with Facebook and google.
Although twitter as a whole prohibits crypto Ads, it will have no effect on Bitcoin or ICO.

Cryptocurrency is good  to invest because you can gain more money after you invested. I don't know what is the reason why the others banned cryptocurrency to promote it, even it is very helpful to us to earn money. But they have other company who are unbanned cryptocurrency already and this is good news.

Twitter and Facebook just want to help filter whether ico is true, or just fake ico that ends with a scam, they do not completely ban all ico ads in it.

I think not, until now ICO ads are still allowed to be promoted via twitter platform, google, or facebook. It may be just a bluff for ICO project providers to work with companies by dividing the profits from already marketed coins.

It seems that the ban is only for ICO adverts that they deem to be scam. They do not want to be part of a system that will steal peoples money in the name of investment. That is the main reason for the ban. It is a blessing in disguise in that only well articulated project will be bold to come out for ICO.

The good news is Facebook may unban crypto ads. If that happens then twitter can follow the same step. But at this moment, we are facing a problem with Twitter. Twitter has banned crypto ads that's why ICO project's twitter account or bounty hunter's twitter accounts are getting suspended. Hope twitter will unban crypto ads very soon. We really need their support.

I heard rumors about this event on social networks, but I did not search for information on the official site. But I think it's not a good idea. This is the same for people, for someone else's use and even for making money. Why does someone think it should be blocked?

People are still able to write blogs, make their videos, and when you have some influential people do these even talk less about it, more people will become aware of it. Banning advertising is okay I guess since it eliminates a lot of scams and advertising scams we've seen all over. These mainstream media do not want to be subjected to some fraudulent ICO or any program involving electronic money. Bitcoin will not be affected by this because now, even without advertising, bitcoin is being talked about.

It will affect bitcoin also. But for me, it may affect  the cryptocurrency as to its popularity but maybe slightly. It has both a negative and a positive effect since it could also lessen scams advertisements.

As far as i know, facebook revised its first decision about the banned thing and just ban the ads of ICOs but not the bitcoin it self, or somewhat they just add standards on allowing ads to be launched. Maybe these those social media did not see the real value of accepting bitcoin as of this moment. Soon they will realize it and it may be late, but atleast they do. As of this moment bitcoin rise and that may be a factor for them to realize the capability of bitcoin.

It certainly makes twitter a loser, as we know that the advertisement of crypto is so great that banned crypto is wrong and harmful, for crypto it has no impact because it can choose ads in other places.

Facebook, Tweeter and Youtube do not ban Cryptocurrency ads but they commemorate, because banning and commemorating it is different.

Because now the evidence Tweeter has launched its own token, and it could have an impact to the Bitcoin price increase.
Then Facebook also followed his word akn creating Cryptocurrency coins.

OH really, Twitter is also making this same threat which Facebook drew back because i am sure large number of people would leave their platform and also bounty hunters really generate huge traffic for these social media platforms as a result of their bounty activities. Twitte will also reverse their bans just like Facebook did.

It is not true. Another fake news. Don't spread fake news please. Twitter don't banned crypto ads and instead, they discuss about crypto ads. They support crypto so why did they ban cryptocurrency ads? If that happens, Twitter campaigns may be damaged.

Hmm... I hope this problem fast resolved
I do not know why twitter facebook and google hate cryptocurrency,
probably because of the many projects that ended fraud and many people who became victims of such fraud,
but for bitcoin, it seems to be no problem, Because bitcoin is almost famous in all countries and only villagers who do not know the internet do not understand bitcoin.

Maybe this is threatening us who use crypto, because this is one way to promote crypto for the community. Crypto ads are indispensable for generating insight into communities that might bring great impacts in the crypto world.

At the moment, many social networks are beginning to prohibit advertising crypto currency. I am sure that most likely they pursue their own profits or they simply start to manage large purses. And I doubt that this will affect bitcoin.

If it really affects the advertisement of cryptocurrency in twitter, we must banned it to protect our interest in this business, this is not good that twitter publishing some hidden informations of crypto, twitter is public so it is not allowed..

We have seen all over. Bitcoin will not be affected by this because now, even without advertising, bitcoin is being talked about. Perhaps these social media outlets do not see the true value of accepting bitcoins at this time. Up to this point, bitcoins increase and that may be a factor for them to realize the possibility of bitcoin.

news on the ban on bitcoin in social media makes bitcoin and Altcoin prices go down. at the moment we have seen that bitcoin and Altcoin are getting cheaper. everyone is worried about the state of bitcoin and Altcoin in the market because they are afraid of losing more if the price of bitcoin and Altcoin cheaper.

Twitter is planning a new advertising policy and is expected to launch in the coming weeks. The new policy will prohibit cryptocurrency ads involving crypto wallets, token sales, and ICOs. It seems that the ban is expected to apply on a global scale. Sad

The news about the banning of social media about the cryptocurrency really makes it in a bad state for a reason that it discourage people's interest and hope to try it out and joining in here. Twitter banning the ads about crypto will make an impact to the user, potential user, and the market and it will be a negative effects.

Social media in recent time have being climbing down on cryptocurrency ads with Facebook new policy which does not allow cryptocurrency ads posted on users timeline, this will definitely affects the market greatly as it will not allow for awareness to be created for new projects and development in the cryptocurrency network. But this is also due to the high rate of scam projects in the entire system, but I know it will not take long before a policy to cumb that will be established.

Yet its still flourishing, crypto has really come far to be intimidated by such threats. Before the existence of twitter and other social medias other means were still there and life will still continue without them. We will write our blogs to promote crypto and we  will tell others about it good works.

This news have  around for some time, and twitter still allows the advertisement of electronic money. They benefit from allowing ICO projects to be advertised on their website. Electronic money is growing and many websites accept it. so twitter will also accept it.

The situation is very interesting. More and more long tails down, which pay off and the price goes up. If you look at the chart, it resembles a funnel-a good sign for bulls.

Even if they do create their own coin , it will still walk in the shadows of bitcoin and many other established altcoins because they hold majority of the cryptocurrency market and we all know majority on those social media platforms know little or nothing at all about cryptocurrencies and so we welcome them to compete.

Ads ban is a problem for ICOs. ICOs can not maximizing their marketing to funds their project. I am believe twitter and facebook will lift their ads ban because its new bussiness.

A lot many of the ICOs are using social media bounty campaigns for their promotion, and this has put Facebook and Twitter in legal troubles. If some ICO promoter runs away with the money, then the platforms that they have used are also liable for legal action.

If twitter bans cryptocurrency ads I would say they are late to the party! Did google not do the same thing?? Did facebook not threaten fire and brimstone?? What are their positions now?? Google went bank on their decision, so did facebook! Twitter only wants it to be on record that they did ban cryptocurrency ads, I think this ban is so unnecessary! It would realize its mistake sooner and go back on the ban too!! But I tweet constantly I haven't noticed anything like it.

I don't think that twitter banning cryptocurrencies ads would anyway affect bitcoin. A lot investors are still buying bitcoin and its popularity is also increasing.

Well there might be an impact, in such a way that if we picture out the probable things that might happen when the twitter did not ban it. I can say that if twitter did not ban it then more people would know it, then there will be more opportunities and so as the increase in popularity.

I support this action from twitter same as those social media sites that banned cryptocurrency advertising for most of the Newly created ico now are scammers ,these sites only protecting their subscribers to become a victim

And about the effect in this community?maybe is some instances yes but it will only take short time, but in long run people will be thankful about whats this great media sites provide for them.and i believe that a good project dont really need those advertisements instead the dev and team will povide this for the investors

About this "Twitter is forbidden to advertise cryptocurrencies" I find bitcoin will not lose so much, plus it's going up every single day, so I see that it's not killing because of the bitcoin of we do not.

I am sad if Twitter prohibits cryptocurrency advertising. In my opinion this nature should establish a more permanent cooperation. And that will look better. This means that they are mutually beneficial and no one is harmed. Why not?  Huh

Three internet giants, Twitter, Google, Facebook banned cryptocurrency ads on their pages. Indirectly affect people about cryptocurrency. But their policy is not without reason, they might prepare their own crypto money, because seeing the potential that exists in particular bitcoin that is popular throughout the world makes them tempted to enter the cryptocurrency business. Or it could be that they do not like cryptocurrency due to anonymous factors so that  misused by criminals.

Actually sad, too, when twitter helped ban crypto ads, but this will not be long and certainly reopened for crypto ads. If indeed it will make crypto itself not need to close bitcoin, I don't think it will affect the development of bitcoin.

It is normal for social networks to block cryptocurrency ads, since google is not interested in having decentralized technological competence. That's why twitter and facebook lick your ass to google, instagram too, bought by facebook

Still a speculation without basis just like what we are thinking about facebook's action too. If another big popular site will come to enforce a law like this one of banning crypto ads, we will think that they are going to create their own crypto.
"YouTube bans crypto ads" - Okay, youtube will create their own token.

I had a second thought about it. It may be good for us after all. If websites such as Facebook and Twitter ban ads related to crypto-currencies, then the latter will be left with few options other than to advertise about their products through this forum. And this may be beneficial for users like us.

in short that if Facebook and Twitter even Google prohibits ads related to crypto currencies, then there will be no campaigns, Facebook, Twitter, Blogger and Youtube? so the allocation for the signature campaign in this forum is very large.

Social media is indeed very easy to be able to get many investors and of course the brand platform must be wiser to be able to provide comfort between investors and information providers so that no one is harmed

the ban will cover advertising for initial coin offering (ico) and token sale. The policy will be introduced over the course and will include ban's on cryptocurrency exchanges and wallet services, unless they are public companies and are listed in major stockexchanges.twitter will limit advertisement for crypto exchanges under the purview exchanges and to those under the purview of the national financial regulation.

twitter cities safety for user as the primary motivator behind the ban.twitter was already taking measure to prevent crypto related accounts from" engaging with other in deceptive manner"

looks funny, one social media makes a ban on crypto advertising, other social media like following it. no one was harmed from the crypto ad, as long as they were able to pay for the ad. except, from these advertisements there is negative content that harms the other party.  Grin

looks funny, one social media makes a ban on crypto advertising, other social media like following it. no one was harmed from the crypto ad, as long as they were able to pay for the ad. except, from these advertisements there is negative content that harms the other party.  Grin

yep thats true , crypto ads have been banned anywhere not just only on social media but on most popular sites online but not all crypto related contented ( only ico's that are scam maybe )   .

I understand what you think  Grin Grin

agree on the both of you guys , banning crypto ads on other sites are indeed beneficial to this forum because advertisers will surely start crawling here and if that happens , we can now expect an unlimited number of signature campaigns that pays in btc or eth per week  but scams are not exempted of course Smiley

It seems to me that cryptocurrency is already quite well recognized and those people who want to invest in ICO projects are not particularly interested in advertising on Twitter or Facebook. ICO projects are not household appliances. Having seen the advertisements of the ICO project, not everyone decides to follow the link and invest in the project. Especially if he does not understand at all in this area. It seems to me that those people who invest in ICO are quite well versed in cryptocurrency. And it is unlikely that they make their decisions based on advertising in the social networks.

I think Social Media that accepts Crypto market is just Instagram and facebok, I know Twitter, join with news and not like Instagram, so I think that is not right and many advertisement ads are not clear, therefore Twitter does not accept

If Twitter prohibits cryptocurrency advertising, I don't think it will have a major impact on the continuity of cryptocurrency, but instead I see that it will be detrimental to Twitter. restrictions on the use of cryptocurrency advertisements will be made by Twitter to prevent misuse of cryptocurrency.

this previously happened with google and facebook yet the community don't bother if they ban it and recently FB and google remove the banning because they see the profitability of crypto now I think twitter will soon realize it too.

Twitter has already prohibited cryptocurrency advertisements. Does it make detriment to Twitter? Nope it doesn't, Twitter don't need crypto projects, but cryptos projects need Twitter. If you could at least read the topic because it's a quite old news now, you would have been aware of the ban from Twitter already here

A month ago there was a news that Google allowed cryptocurrency ads, I think that soon, Twitter will also remove all restrictions on ads of this nature.

I don't think that twitter banning cryptocurrencies ads would anyway affect bitcoin. A lot investors are still buying bitcoin and its popularity is also increasing.

I agree and twitter ban can make a significant effect on new ICO projects which are majority of altcoins but not for the bitcoin market because when comparing those two bitcoin is well established and most people in the world know about bitcoin at the moment and majority of investors are attracted to bitcoin with or without twitter so with these kind of twitter and other social media restrictions the most cryptocurrencies will face serious problems but not bitcoin

This prohibition will certainly make the movement or progress of crypto to be less good, because the Crypto is newborn and they still need a good promotion such as via Facebook and Twitter. So if they banned the crypto ads of course this will make impeded crytpo.

I don't expect it will bring a lot for Twitter to do so. Why risking potential ad rewars especially if they are paid well because Twitter is also used of many ICO participants. Twitter will do not a good decision for themselves. Better allow it.

I think it has more impact exactly at the generated projects of the ICO, not the bitcoin. It develops its own way and does not require constant advertising in social networks, as it is already well known in the world.

As far as I know, Facebook has already revised this ban and will now monitor and check the advertisements of the projects-ICO. And this is a more competent decision than a total ban. Perhaps Twitter will follow suit.

Now really create a lot of projects, many of which are just scammers. And it is very difficult to follow this process, and not to create problems, Twitter decided to just limit these ads. I fully understand this decision. But the way to control and verify the advertised ISO seems more logical to me, as there are good projects.

This is very old human psychology that not everyone is happy with your success and the same thing is also happening with bitcoin that instead of having numerous of advantages there are still some people who are in against of bitcoin and these people are termed as crypto haters and to deal with these crypto haters you need not to be aggressive and deal them with calm and make them doubt their own convictions and make them feel that they are claiming the wrong thing and it is very said to say but Twitter of them.

I don't know where you noticed that Twitter does it... I have witnessed a lot of bounty campaigns in Twitter and many official profiles of different ICO work perfectly.

Twitter has been on the losing end of an ongoing battle with scammers who are taking advantage of the platform's user base to steal crypto coins. However, the company revealed that it has implemented some measures in an attempt to reduce the frequency of these scams and better protect its users and ads.

The social media platform known to limit discussion to 140 characters has fought a growing trend in which cybercriminals kidnap accounts - often verified accounts - of big brands, big celebrities, and executives and entrepreneurs in the cryptocurrency sector, providing spam ads.

scammers with giveaways are still on Twitter. instead of them suffered many accounts of bounty hunters who got banned and can't unlock their accounts.

The most interesting thing is that Google and Facebook allow cryptocurrency advertising and Twitter has currently blocked 60 % of users who are talking about coins and the project !

If it is true, Twitter prohibits the use of cryptocurrency ads, it will certainly have an impact on bitcoin or ICO, but it will not affect the existence of cryptocurrency, especially the existence of bitcoin. But the fact is, to this day, advertisements for cryptocurrency use can still be done through Twitter, meaning that until now there has been no prohibition on the use of cryptocurrency advertisements made by Twitter. Something very positive, that Twitter in the end did not prohibit the use of cryptocurrency ads, and of course made the cryptpcurrency stronger and better known, and could influence the rising price of its cryptocurrency  against bitcoin, and ICO could still run well.

I think this is true and many of Twitter accounts are suspended because promoting from crypto and like my friend that always participate in Twitter campaign she shocks when she see that her Twitter account is suspended. Maybe Twitter is want to protect others because we know how cryptocurrencies risky is.

Same here my account was also blocked by twitter even though i always follow their rules .  i dont spam or use bots but i only grow my account manually using my own hands with long interval of course but sadly my account was one of those who recently banned . i did  also contact their support but nothing happened .

Speaking of ads i still see ads related to cryptos on twitter  , same with crypto related accounts . thats why i think that they still allow cryptocurrency stuffs on their platform .

Facebook has done it and now it's up to tWitterr they do not seem to want the deceptive ads on the project to be posted on scientific applications to prevent their users losing money.

I believe that even if Twitter were to banned ICO and token sales, it will not affect Bitcoin much however Twitter just want to keep it safe for their users and to avoid crypto accounts from engaging in a deceptive manner.

This is an old news right, As we know this has happened on the past months before Facebook also bans cryptocurrency ads especially BTC. But now I think twitter is slowly accepting the facts that bitcoin and cryptos are that advertisement they cannot remove, Because of its in-demand.

Twitter took that policy to avoid the misuse of cryptocurrency, because it was anonymous so that it could not be accounted for, and Twitter did not want to be part of the problem. In its official website Twitter only says it doesn't want to be involved with people who cheat.
