The answer to your question is really simple no one in their right frame of mind will buy it, due to tons of expenses that accompany it. As far as the transfer of the ownership is concerned I feel Freebitco will pay the dealer directly, and it shall then be brought in winners name. In my opinion the winner should claim his price in bitcoins, otherwise he’ll spend huge amounts of money in customs and local taxes.

When a cheater does something illegal to the websites rules he gets banned. At one point if you check the lottery of freebitco.in you will realize that many people actually cheated and there was a lot of bots to consider as well and all of them got banned, you can clearly see the difference in lottery prices where many people cheated so it used to be a lot more than what it is today. Thankfully freebitcoin caught them and now they are all gone. Of course there could be few here and there but that doesn't mean we are having a big problem, all websites have a small amount of issue with those type of people but we can at least say that freebitcoin now has only a few of those people left. I think the realistic approach would be just giving away 200 thousand dollars worth of bitcoin. Everyone will just get that money option, freebitcoin keeps their identity hidden that way and only credit you the 200 thousand dollars on their website.

Considering there is a 4% investment profit yearly for the amount of money you are keeping on their website that is about 8 thousand dollars a year too (I don't know if there is a max amount available in freebitcoin investment deal). That is a lot of money for many people in third world countries. For example it is twice the amount of minimum wage in my country per month of that income. So, I think its safe to bet that, whoever wins this lottery will most likely prefer the 200 thousand dollars and will not care about the car at all. I am not convinced myself. We are talking about big money here and even intermediaries  might require some kind of verification. Acquiring such large payments without proper verification does not make much sense in this case. Lets see what happens.

Totally agree, even without considering taxes/fuel/shipping/etc I think the best choice is to get btc and ignore the car, BUT...
But the bitcoin-lambo is the most effective pairing in crypto, calling the contest "win a $200k prize" doesn't sound like "win a lambo" for cryptolovers.

Yeah, I understand that "win a lambo" is more of a marketing tactic and not the real deal, most probably "win 200k" wouldn't have the same attention for sure. I mean they had what 30 thousand dollars? Just quite recently as you can see from the title and even with that they didn't get half the attention they got from lambo, they got like an extraordinary amount of attention from lambo part.

So yeah, I agree that for namesake having a "win a lambo" type of deal is definitely much better for marketing but we the people who are actually in this know that in reality its just a lottery for 200 thousand dollars and nothing more. 200 thousand dollars on the other hand worth to me more than any lambo, you can find a 800k worth of lambo and I would prefer 200k worth bitcoin over 800k worth lambo any day of the week.

There is a more substantial outline of value in the car rather then the cash, however I agree the cash is more practical almost always.   That interest option and immediately gaining a benefit from the 200k win is very nice, its completely boring vs the idea of slipping into a Lambo to go for a drive instead of your normal humdrum life

Why take the risk that the car could get damaged in transit or even worst destroyed if it was shipped to you. My friend work in a harbour and he has told me bad stories of damage that was done to containers and freight ships on the open sea.

Most of us would not even be able to pay the insurance on a car like that, so it is not a prize that comes without an additional monthly expense for car insurance.   We have not even discussed the the price for parts on expensive super cars like this.

Its not clickbaiting, its just advertising.   Pretty much always its about selling the dream, go check out TV series Mad Men as its a great analogy for all of modern society and conspicuous consumption.     Wanting more then you need and all that, but hey this is the gambling section and who doesnt want a lambo for a week at least.   You can take delivery without a problem, use it for a year lose no value so long as this particular model is in high demand.    Something to check out, its possible to pre order super cars and sell for higher then you paid; it really depends on production supply vs demand.  

We arent in a recession so supercars are in is my guess.   I'm more concerned about the options, I dont want a supercar without aircon.   I want two tone paint that changes shades as it passes by so you are never quite sure what you just saw; all sorts of nice things but that variation might be the biggest difference to actually walking into a dealership and specifying in person your personal needs

Sure I've seen similar and I've worked in freight but always with high worth items it would be covered.    Ship transport has risks attached to it that go back centuries in their origins and they would not make the customer suffer, thats all on those in the delivery business and the insurance that backs them.    To be honest, I think this firm would just make a phonecall to instigate locally a sale not be shipping left hand drive to perhaps right hand drive countries or whatever.   Lamboghini is part of the VW group now, its not quite the rarefied exotic unobtainable evaporative commodity it once was; they'll have connections to deliver it to the door without such a problem.   Source: I know someone who had a Porsche prototype delivered in a truck to his door, his relative was part of the mobile phone system development for it and he learnt to drive in it as the insurance covered all instances

Again Lambo is part of VW group, Im a ton more optimistic on Lambo ownership for even the normal guy then I once would have been.   I'm sure its not cheap but I think its regular to service.   I dont know this car specifically but I've owned cars previous that were joint developments between firms and the parts were great to obtain decades after because this design had relations through the group of companies and various models in how it fitted together

Buying through a company is the simple bit. If the winner wants to drive it on the road then they'll have to register it according to their local laws. For expample, if someone in the UK wins it and decides they just want to use for track days then they don't need to.

That reminds me of when I was 18 I went to the motor show at Earls Court in London and entered a competition to win a Ferrari. A few days later I started thinking about how much it would cost to run that thing so I looked up the insurance cost and found it was double my annual salary.
It really depends on the circumstances of the winner if they can afford to take the Lambo or choose the Bitcoin alternative.
