To be honest, it sounds like a completely fabricated problem just to distract the audience from the real problem (fraud) and simply buy some time. Plus, it all looks like a complete lie, given the continuous process of receiving funds from visitors and transferring them to mixers and exchanges. Or is this a different blockchain, and can this be done without synchronizing wallets? Smiley

It was a fabricated problem, since wallet synchronization doesn't take that long and clearly cannot be the reason for a delay of several months in withdrawing user funds. It seems obvious that they were stalling for time, but their main goal is still unclear. I mean, they could have just abandoned the platform and left a long time ago because they've already ruined their reputation, and everyone knows they're scammers. Making up fabricated stories is a pointless activity on their part.

They would have continued the scam for much longer or maybe forever, but then someone revealed the identity of the owners who were running this scam, and before they got into trouble, they announced that they are closing and will be returning the funds somewhere in 2026. Since no clear date was mentioned, it is clear that they just bought the time so people don't come after them and it will be an exit scam.

I am sure they won't be returning the gamblers' money that they have collected for the past two years almost.

Making up fabricated stories is a pointless activity on their part.

It is not so pointless, because it gave them time to meditate on their next step in this chaos they purposely created. They probably were not sure what to do with all the money of their clients, so they needed time to evaluate what to do and how likely it was for them to get chased down by authorities and users seeking to get their identity. In the end, after stalling people for literal months, they have disclosed the obvious: they have liquidity problems which cannot resolve quickly, so they need to close down their website. They initially seemed to be going for a long term stall and continue to accumulate money from people who were not aware about what was going on, but they changed their mind when they realized who risky it was to them.

I am sure they won't be returning the gamblers' money that they have collected for the past two years almost.

They have continued converting BTC for USDT since making their announcement about closing down. We should assume they have no intention of resuming withdrawals in the new year.

I wonder how much their profit from that. If they have intention to refund the money, they will do that but unfortunately, they won't. Leaving their members in sad without knowing where they should complain.

Mental exhaustion is the last arrow in the quiver of those who want to run away!

Think about it, how long as this site have had problems? How long has people's withdrawals been stuck? How many of them are going to continue pursuing their funds, battering the owners to give it back? And most importantly how many will give up when they get exhausted?

From what it appears, this is their last strategy to maximize what they can get away with. For a long time (I think over a year, if not longer) processing withdrawals have been problematic and for months they have not been processed at all. Now they are extending that period even longer saying the payment may come in 2026...
At some point a large number of their users are just going to give up and categorize their funds under "lost" category and move on. So the freebitco.in guys easily pocket those funds and get away with it. The few who keep battering them may get paid to just silence them and not have to possibly face some legal action...

Just my 2 cents theory Roll Eyes

They initially seemed to be going for a long term stall and continue to accumulate money from people who were not aware about what was going on, but they changed their mind when they realized who risky it was to them.

This once again proves their behavior as fraudsters. Stalling for time and analyzing the community's reaction in order to take “corrective” measures fits perfectly into the picture of a premeditated fraud.
As I understand it, the only “inconvenience” was the many voices that began to raise this issue, conduct investigations, and spread this information to the masses! And the initial plan to simply withdraw the money and disappear into history turned out to be unfeasible... Therefore, the fraudsters now have to urgently consider options to bring the plan to completion.

Thank you for this valuable information. To me, there are only two valid explanations for this behavior by those who manage the money of Freebitcoin:

There are either selling Bitcoin for USDT in order to make harder to track the path of those funds

Or they plan to give compensations to those affected by this fiasco in stablecoins, instead of giving Bitcoin (as most people here assumed they would).

So far, it seems likely they just announced their closure and promised refunds to their gamblers as a strategy to get more time to swap all their Satoshis and move all the money through different Blockchains.

The most likely scenario, in my opinion, is that they will make a couple more posts with promises and then disappear.

If their intention of to give refunds in USDT instead of Bitcoin, then it is certain they are going to offer an unfavorable exchange rate for people who had their Satoshis deposited with them. That is the only explanation for this situation, either they will offer people to give their capital backat some rate around 40,000 USDT/BTC or they are trying to get as much USDT as possible, mix it and then disappear with all. There are no more possibilities for this odd behavior.
Hopefully they will surprise us positively, but at this point hoping for something good to happen with this casino is nothing but wishful thinking...

I think that many users would not mind getting funds withdrawn in stablecoins, just to get something back. But this is unlikely, or if it does happen, the conversion rate of sats on the freebitcoin site balance to USDT will most likely be unfavorable for users.
The most likely scenario, in my opinion, is that they will make a couple more posts with promises and then disappear.

Yes provably it is, because its good to get something rather than totally get nothing on their casino. If freebitco.in will give USDT they don't have a choice but to accept the settlement what they want to happen.

So let see if there's further more updates towards their refund process and if people would really get their money, because many is waiting for their refund to start.

If refund starts for sure it will  eliminate the doubts of people and somehow many will still think about despite of this issues happen, they are once a big reputable casino which people like to go and play.

They had a goal and the goal is to still steal as much as they can from unsuspecting victims, freebitco isn't like the regular casinos we are all familiar with, there are user who are not active on this site for a long time and one day, they can just wake up and make a good deposit on the site to play or bet on the price of cryptocurrencies, or possibly buy the lottery tickets and so on..

This are the type the managements of this casino are looking for, people who are not active on this forum to know the current state of the site, so their goal is to scam as many as possible, but then, they can go on with this for long since as each breaks, their scam activities are getting more popular and they are not getting as much deposits as they expect - this is if they are still getting any deposits at all.

Or they could say something like

While we were trying to re-establish the database our keys got stolen by a hacker and user funds were swiped out.
As a good fate we will reimburse the users with 50% of their balance.

And then give us only 50% the amount and vanish from existense.

Bud, I am of the opinion that even if they end up disbursting 50 percent of the amount each user have on their account balance to each user respectively speaking, then it's still good because that this point, they can close the site, run away and no one will be able to do anything about it.

And you guys remember that old saying that " a half bread is better than no bread at all" right? And I ask, isn't it better to even get 50 percent of your money back than get nothing at all? Because to me, just as a living dog is better than a dead lion, 50 percent of our money back is better than 0 percent back, especially when we know that if they give nothing back and just disappear, we won't go after them since we don't know who they are and their location.

I am sure they won't be returning the gamblers' money that they have collected for the past two years almost.

They have continued converting BTC for USDT since making their announcement about closing down. We should assume they have no intention of resuming withdrawals in the new year.

If they wanted  to pay back the participants money, they would have done that batch by batch. Though they said from this year, so let's see how this first quarter of the year will be from their side. The best way for them to go about it is for them to create a separate thread and ask the participants to submit application with all the relevant details and when the freebitco team confirm the legitimate of the application, they pay the person. That would have been a good procedure to do.

Do you think the freebitco owners are good enough to give 50% of the money back? Even that 50% will not be a small amount considering the fact that they have been scamming for over a year or even more.

Scammers are usually greedy too and it's hard to get anything from them. Expecting from freebitco to return even the 50% of the amount is asking too much from them  Cool

It's been a long time since I visited my FreeBitcoin account. I may have missed a lot of information in this thread, but it appears they're closing their site. It's sad that after so long, this site, which has been generating free Bitcoins, is finally shutting down. Will they really give genuine users the opportunity to withdraw their money?

It seems like that you know nothing what is happening at freebitco lately. Yup, this was very good site and it was one of the oldest trsuted site famous for its facuet that runs for years and never dried up and a lot of other things, but everything changed when the freebitco onwers started to exit scam.

We are happy that this site has closed finally so there will no more people who will get scam. That's a bitter truth and you many feel it hard to beleive if you haven't been active there in the last two years.

I don't see any logical reasons why they should exchange BTC to USDT and pay to users in USDT. For me it looks that people behind website are just cashing out, while users are trying to feed themselves with hope that they will get paid.
Some things doesn't makes sense for me - if they're shuting down, why they don't simply disable faucet, lottery, multiplier and other stuff? Because they're just trying to milk their users as long as possible.

The sad thing is that they are still active in the sense that they check here. The PR account keeps coming back, checked just a few days ago and was active and yet they do nothing about it. So they know that they are labelled as scam, and they do not care, and they are happy living a rich life. Not sure if this is theQuin's job or wetsuit but in the end both of them are criminals in my eye.

Nothing I can do about it of course, so they are going to get away with it, but I really wish someone who has enough capital and law experience to go after them because it would make me so happy to see them on trial for the harm they have done and money they have stolen. At my worst periods in life, they weren't here and I couldn't withdraw and had to take out a loan, so I will always pray bad things for them.

There is no way in hell we will be getting USDT, that would be way too much hassle for them to sort out.

We are either getting Bitcoin, or nothing, and most likely nothing.
