Well, something wrong is going on.
They either had a change of heart about shutting down their service or they actually never had any intention to closing down their operations. Because I just gave their website a visit and everything seems to be normal, as if they were not going to shut down any time soon, they allow anyone to register and they even continue to have those stupid counters on their main homepage, as if they were paying a lot of Bitcoin to their gamblers.
That is truly artificial, because at this stage of the exit scam, their daily volume certainly suffered a down trend and probably does not have anything to do with those numbers shown on the counters.

Theyr message about their closure is nowhere to be found on their main homepage. So they have no intention to let people know they once planned to close their service and "refund" all money.

We can confirm they are one hundred percent scammers because all this shady behavior.

I guess everyone has their worst mistake story but whats done is done. There's no going back.
All we can do is learn from our mistakes. Even I have lost half of my portfolio due to some mistakes I made in the past.
But yeah, what you have mentioned is absolutely correct. No matter how reputable a platform is, we never know when they can scam us.

It's a journey actually. We make mistakes regardless of how experienced we are in the crypto market. I made mistakes when I was a newbie in crypto. But I also made mistakes when I thought I am at my peak. I sold Bitcoin and invested in some nameless shitcoins, just to waste that money and see that my portfolio become zero after some time. I made some decision based on other peoples suggestion, while some decision was my call.

This journey is full of learning process. We learn everyday as we go. Keeping funds in online accounts was never a good idea. Even if someone plays in a large well established casino, they should always cashout their winnings from time to time instead of keeping them on their casino account.

One thing is clear: they’re amateurs. If they were actually trying to fix the problem and refund the deposits (which is highly unlikely), it’s clear they’re amateurs. And if they’re scammers (which is almost certain), they’re amateurs too, because if you keep the site up and running so people can make deposits and request withdrawals (which never arrive), and the games are still working, then at least take down the notice.

This journey is full of learning process. We learn everyday as we go. Keeping funds in online accounts was never a good idea. Even if someone plays in a large well established casino, they should always cashout their winnings from time to time instead of keeping them on their casino account.

As a matter of fact, I would say that cashing out should be done in all the things and not only on casinos.
Sometimes we think of investing for long term but during the process we keep delaying cashing out and sometimes encounter losses due to that.
Regular cashouts help us stay committed to our goals and help us track our profits consistently.

Whether they are acting to fix those issue or want to put nail in the coffin then pull that scam, this situation screams so loud about who they are.

If they are really serious towards shutting down their casino they would at least to follow those announcement they made, then slowly do a refund to their users. But everything seems just for optics, then if we try to look at current situation they are not really serious and its clear their intention is to scam their gamblers.

I still see their closure annoucement when clicking "deposit" or "withdraw" button, but some people in this thread have already reported that they can get deposit addresses and request withdrawals.
Even if you can request a withdrawal, it's very very unlikely that they will process your withdrawal and it seems that they are just trying to steal more money by allowing deposits.
It's a bad way of announcing and informing people about closure of their service. The service closure announcement must be at the landing page, the main page of their website, so everyone can see it even as a website guest. It's bad if people have to log in their accounts, and visit the deposit page for getting the service closure announcement.

You have an account there, and you could check it at the Deposit page, but in my opinion, for either guests or users, the closure announcement must be a the landing page.

Something has been wrong for a long time...

I checked the site, and the "shutting down" message is still there:

Question is, why is the shutdown message being hidden inside the user accounts and not on the Homepage before someone logs in?

Another weird thing are those stats showing that very many users are registering, playing very many games and winning lots of Bitcoins every passing second. Sounds like something that is cooked to encourage more people to register and play even when the service is dead and gone.

Well, the logic seems simple as they want players to deposit and they can scam them and still they prove themselves on the right side that the shutdown message was already displayed but the gambler didn't took notice  Sad

And also don't go for the stats on the site that many players are active and playing, that can all be faked to scam gamblers who still aren't aware as what is going on with this site for last year or so.

Theyr message about their closure is nowhere to be found on their main homepage. So they have no intention to let people know they once planned to close their service and "refund" all money.
The website's popularity is huge, so even after scamming users there will be still people using the platform expecting to be paid soon. These are naive users who aren't in touch with the news, especially people who have just signed up right now through a random referral link, or who have been inactive for a long time.

Fact is that hardly ever someone will know what is going on if they don't have access to this forum's thread, because as you said, the website looks normal, as if it was operating legitimately like in the early years of its existence. Also, their positive reputation still resonates across the internet. There are still mixed reviews about freebitco.in, what can make users confused on what to think about this service.

There is no way there are so many people registering and accumulating such a huge volume of money on Freebitcoin after all the problems which have been made public with their liquidity. It is obvious those are made-up numbers and they are just keeping them for the sake of keeping a façade in the eyes of people who are not informed of all the problems and the frozen balances and withdrawals.

Theyr message about their closure is nowhere to be found on their main homepage. So they have no intention to let people know they once planned to close their service and "refund" all money.

I get there are people who do not take a minute or two to reseaech about where they are sending the money to. But I refuse to believe there are so many new registrations as Freebitcoin counter is showing at the main webpage of their service, it would be easier to assume those numbers are artificial and just intended to keep a show and a façade.

They trying to trick new people and pretend to be active and have reputation. While people out there don't know what is happening to Freebitcoin, they will use it but will gets scam in the end. They might think that the site still operating especially if they see the deposit button works as before.

Many people out there don't take a minute to research but just play on that site. No wonder if more people will losing money without they can take it back. They can fake the new registrations but we don't believe that.

I wouldn't say they are amateurs or professionals. I would say that they themselves are completely lost in vein. It's clear that nobody works on the website and it's run on autopilot mode, i.e. it got hosted on the server and it's simply live. Even a stupid teenager would do a better scam than what Freebitco does right now. This website is simply abandoned. The owner is the laziest person in the world and simply decided to turn on deposit/withdrawal button and that's it. If someone goes into trap, they go or the owner doesn't care. Also, if they really wanted to scam, they could use their sister sites for that, club riches and dplay. Freebitco should have learnt from 1xBit.
I try to find logic behind freebitco's actions but I can't.

Right. There is no such a big increase in number of registered users. Just reload the page and you will see those numbers will drop.
According to TheQuin's old post, those numbers are updated once an hour.
