So I thought I'd check something.

I have a throwaway gmail account, and I registered a brand new account.

Deposit is open, ~

Thanks for doing this experiment for us! All this time I was confident that they are not accepting deposits and that made me think of them like of the honest people that are just having some problems. But now, if it's true that you can register and deposit, it means they are active scammers. It doesn't matter whether it's the same people who run the site years ago or the original founders sold the site to some scammers, in both cases I think we can say with certainty, "FreeBitco.in is scammers". Shame on them.

- I myself tried to replicate your alleged experiment by creating, with fake emails and fake territories, three new accounts on different days this week.
However, I could not create deposit addresses, and it was impossible to start any withdrawal procedure.

jammers isn't the only person reporting they are able to make deposits.
From some reports I have read in this thread, I guess they are randomly allowing some people to make deposits and that seems to vary from time to time.

If they had any bit honesty then
1. They would not let new users register at all
2. The message regarding the service shutting down would have been in the home page
3. They would have communicated earlier on what was going on with the platfrom and the road map regarding refunding users.

My deposit window still works; only my withdrawal one is giving me the shutdown notice. I just checked (last week I couldn't do either, now it lets me see addresses for depositing and generate new ones)

If that is the case this is straight up scam attempt. Why would any legit service will allow you to deposit while cashouts are not allowed. Since you said that earlier even deposit was not possible and this is a recent development, maybe they are opting the route of selective scamming, who knows.

So what would that even mean?
Are they actually trying to carry out some selective scam against some people while leaving others untouched, or are they actually so amateur that they did not effectively disabled all deposit mechanisms on their webpage and did not bother to correct it?

It is kind of confusing. This would not be the kind of mistake which is supposed to be fine by any serious service which dealt with millions of dollars from their clients, investors and gamblers.

I thought all people had the chance to continue to deposit, not only brand new accounts on Freebitcoin.

I tried to access with my own email, which I used to register years ago, and it does not allow me to log in for some reason.

One does not need to immediately go for the most prominent or bigger investigator. We should try to catch the attention of the relatively small and medium investigators of crypto-currencoes scams, it will help people to get aware of all this messy situation and it could even help so bigger crypto YouTubers and personalities will be aware of what is going on with this casino.

Tomorrow I will send some emails to some people and see if they give me a little bit of attention, and hopefully they will get interested in this case so they can get their 15 minutes of fame with whatever information they can gather.

It costs nothing but a little bit of your time to get in touch with them, and we as community lose nothing.
Valid reasoning, but I truly don't think any of this is required to be honest since many people are already aware of their fallen reputation in recent times which is visible all over the internet and that is why they are shutting down their site themselves.

This sort of stuff is more useful against the scam sites that are still popular currently such as BC.Game, 1xbet etc.

In the case of the infamous 1xbet, I have gotten the impression they are always in a constant campaign of washing their reputation in the eyes of their potential victims, so they can continue to scam more people. That is why they keep running a signature campaign here on the forum for so long before retiring.

I still believe it would be constructive to get some people with the ability to investigate involved in this case. There is nothing to lose with attempting to do so.

Also, in the case of BC game, given the magnitude of the casino and the size of the problems which gamblers of that casino are facing, I would not be surprised if there were already several serious investigations and lawsuits against BC game. I am not sure which casino would be easier to get held into account, though... BC game or Freebitcoin.
I think it's important to have independent investigators to get in there regardless of the reputation of the casino at this point. While many players may have heard about the issues, in-depth investigations can yield verified information and reveal information which is not widely known. This helps existing and potential users to make educated decisions. Meanwhile, even the most popular of big gambling sites, which still has significant complaints, should not be allowed to escape public scrutiny because of their popularity. It can be either FreeBitco.in or BC.There has to be game or any other operator transparency and accountability. The greater the evidence-based information, the more difficult it will be for bad practices to go unnoticed.

With so many accusations happens to Freebitcoin, that should attract suspicion to you if you see the address for depositing. We don't know if the deposit amount will enter to your balance but definitely that will makes you get in trouble.

You don't have to take the risk even for small amount because many cases has not resolved. It is better you select other online gambling site and stay aware of this case.

Well, I was actually going to (out of curiosity) suggest he try to deposit a very small amount of money to the address they provided and lets see what happens, let's see if they will credit the deposit or whether it will be automatically diverted to another address (this we can look up on chain to see what happens), but all the same, it's good to avoid trying to deposit any money to freebitco because for sure, any money sent to that platform is gone, and no matter how small the amount is, it can still serve or be used as a transaction fee so it's not good to loost it on purpose.

The platform now allowing users to see deposit address and while on the withdrawal page, they have their notification that they are shutting down clearly shows how evil those behind this casino is or have become towards their users and the general public.
And if I remember well, they annouced they are shutting down since last year, what exactly is still holding them from leaving? Any ideas?

The entire reason why websites like these can steal money from people is that we are not putting anyone responsible for being illegal. If they were a legit company, with offices, and known founders and CEO and what not, then they wouldn't dare to do this, and they would be jailed if they did.

But, because we go on "based on public trust" then it means any website could gain the trust of people, and then steal anything they want from people, they get away with it, and nothing happens to them, they just live a happy life with our money.

I'm assuming it wouldn't get credited. Following a trail could be interesting, though. I say the former because I can confirm that bonuses (from holding 500k+ FUN) aren't working, and neither is interest on held balances.

Well, during those days that randomly some accounts were allowing generating new addresses for deposit, and also allowing withdrawals, in addition to having made a withdrawal request on my mother's account of 0.001, which is still pending, I was also able to generate new addresses for deposit, of course I didn't deposit anything, but it would be really interesting to deposit 1k SAT, and see where the sats end up,, if someone wants to do the experiment, I can provide the address I generated during this apparently 'Bug', I can confirm if these 1k sat were in her account and or not it was credited.
However, I will need to wait for the notice to come out, so I can see this address that was generated and copy it in full.

still also, I can confirm that it is possible to buy the FUN token for 1 sat, but it is giving an error when trying to sell FUN token for less than 1 sat(0SAT)

###
Well, today it was possible to generate another new address for deposit, and I even took a print of the address I had previously generated, so I'm going to edit this same post here and add the screenshots, remembering that the withdrawal I made a couple of weeks ago hasn't come out yet,...

Edited imgs at one with last and new address generated today>

The entire reason why websites like these can steal money from people is that we are not putting anyone responsible for being illegal. If they were a legit company, with offices, and known founders and CEO and what not, then they wouldn't dare to do this, and they would be jailed if they did.

But, because we go on "based on public trust" then it means any website could gain the trust of people, and then steal anything they want from people, they get away with it, and nothing happens to them, they just live a happy life with our money.

With all history Freebitcoin had as part of the Bitcoin ecosystem and gambling ecosystem, I am kind of surprised they actually never hired some embassador or public figure to promote their services or do what other casinos like Stake do and have their CEO directly being part of the AP campaigns of the casino, by organizing streams and events in which the face of the founder and CEO is clearly visible.

I guess people behind this casino had never intentions to be one hundred percent traceable by their gamblers, otherwise the CEO and owner of the casino would have stepped forward and allow people to see his face from the very beginning.

I guess it is just another lesson for people to keep in mind before depositing their money in any service. If the CEO gets out his way not to be seen in public and in events, it may be just a red flag in the long term.

That's true, but you either like decentralization, which is the basis for why cryptocurrencies were created. You take full responsibility for your money - meaning you know that it's not your keys, it's not your money.
Or you want the government to take care of you and impose regulations on you.
The choice is yours.

~snip~

Any ideas?
I am not sure with that because we know they announced the closing on their site and if they giving the address to their users, perhaps users need to wait and see because no explanation from them what is happening. We already suggest them not to deposit anymore after the announcement but if they still feels that now is different, that will be up to them.

We don't want others to get in the scams because too many cases now has not been solved. I don't know what holding them from leaving but perhaps they want to invite new people who are new in gambling so they can get the money. Many things can happens to users who deposit the money but we hope they can think twice before deciding.

But, because we go on "based on public trust" then it means any website could gain the trust of people, and then steal anything they want from people, they get away with it, and nothing happens to them, they just live a happy life with our money.

The whole background to the origins of Bitcoin is the corruption of centralized government bodies, the dilution of money.  The impoverishment of a nation via constant inflation, nothing changed from the start of BTC when it included the great financial crisis headline in the origin block to negate this truth; you will lose your FIAT money savings and your family will be poorer.  The destruction of common currency has only accelerated in recent years and the working poor effect only more true now.

However, your point is correct in that no guardrails means some bad actors in the space will push you off the edge and take what you saved.  A website having your entire savings via a deposit is not how it was meant to be, there are ways to be in crypto and use a multi part trust system not reliant on just the word and good faith of one person at the top.

The wider problem might be the transference by FIAT normalized consumers to bring their bad mindset of centralized systems over to crypto.   Even big banks dont do this system, the trustee of major funds and savings is a 3rd party company and the label or manager is not able to dominate funds with a singular holder of that value.

People seek convenience, simplicity and fail to require this multi part trust that is a required working system in crypto.  I've been involved in blockchains that had this development maybe ten years ago, it needs to be demanded by the consumer, and I think most arent even aware or begin to think.
So its a toxic mix of the worst of both somehow.   The small positive conclusion I can say is we have to learn not to hold large deposits on a website only hold what you are intending to spend quite immediately soon after.  This risk rises when this isnt true, its like bacteria you have to assume risk is always there and its going to develop badly when attention is lacking.

When the information came here about the restriction of the deposit, I went to the casino website and discovered that every in the website is working fine and I saw sign up and sign in so I was wondering around my mind. "Is this the casino that restricted deposit". Since I am not participating, I just left it. The casino is tok real to restrict users and if they are accepting deposit from new registered users now then it is clear that they are now targeting the new sign up members to scam.

So I thought I'd check something.
I have a throwaway gmail account, and I registered a brand new account.
Deposit is open, ~

- I myself tried to replicate your alleged experiment by creating, with fake emails and fake territories, three new accounts on different days this week.
However, I could not create deposit addresses, and it was impossible to start any withdrawal procedure.

Nothing alleged about it, signed up from Ireland without a vpn with a normal gmail account, logged in, took screenshot.

Log into my old account, click deposit or withdrawal, and I get the shutting down message

Just tested again, I can still generate addresses as well, and my account is *very* old. Sometimes it doesn't let me but it usually does
