It's just an idea from Russia government, it'll be nothing if there is no official announcement from their government about this case to know if they're really going to legalize cryptocurrency or not. After years in this crypto world, for now, I feel like almost news come from any government is untruthworthy so I decided to not believe anything. LOL. For example, China government supports for NEO but they're banning all the way to access to crypto exchange; They banned ICO project for long time ago but now they said that they'll be going to support ICO in their country. I don't know if that is one of the reason why Putin made such decision because of that Rotchchild involvement when it comes to monopoly but its really a valid reason though which adopting crypto will be one of the things will able to block such monopoly.It might not able to completely stop but would give some effects since its really a contradiction when it comes to centralization.Good to hear out this positive news on Russia possible adaptation.

In Russia they constantly give out various conflicting information about their intentions with respect to the crypto currency. Until recently, the Minister of Finance stated that according to their constitution, a single currency in the country is the ruble and therefore all other payment means are illegal. That is why a bill was introduced to their Duma on the establishment of criminal liability for the use of crypto currency as a means of payment.

It has the just enormous territory but the population is not so big. It's less than 150 million people. Compare it with the population of China or India and Russia doesn't look so influencing. So the news about crypto from Russia is far from being a strong force to change the crypto market dramatically.
