With so much interest in the XSN token from our community, we are excited to share this new listing with you!

Both XSN/BTC and XSN/USDT trading pairs are now available on ABCC Exchange

I like this exchange, and I am very glad that they have reduced the emission of their AT tokens. The price is now very low. Then just up. They have very good partnerships.

Yes, I also hold a fairly large number of their tokens. Waiting for the effect. Let's see, exchange tokens are now in trend.

cool. everyone should hold trendy tokens. effect big humongous

Trustless Proof of Stake (TPoS), Wallet Staking and Pooled Staking https://medium.com/stakenet/trustless-proof-of-stake-tpos-wallet-staking-and-pooled-staking-c57245eb9640

Staking is a great way to earn a passive income whilst helping to provide essential security for the blockchain network.

Made some statistics concerning the anns on discord, wan to share some of my findings.

Since posw/xsn joined discord there have been 192 anns on discord, with 46867 reactions (any clicked icon beyond, multiple clicks per person possible) in total, which makes for ~241.6 reactions per ann. The highest number of anns have 0-49 reactions (24), 50-99, 100-149 and 150-199 reactions have the second highest count (22), and 20 anns have 250-299. The most reactions has the frank amato advisor ann(2018-06-04) with 800. Lest reactions the migration (slack to discord) anns late 2017 with 0 reactions, all in all there are 4 in 2017 and 2 in 2018 without a single reaction.

Same goes of course for singular reactions (just the one icon that got clicked most, multiple votes only possible with multiple nicks) of course. So from 192 anns 6 got no reaction. Most reactions were with the frank amato advisor ann again (93), followed by the stakenet.io released ann (2018-07-06; 88) and the ann on being accepted by abcc (2019-02-25; 77). fun fact: The ann on going live on abcc(2019-03-19) only got 31. Most anns (52) got 20-29 single reactions, but there is 39 within the 30-39 and 34 within the 10-19 range as well.

In 2017 it was mostly for migrating from slack to discord, therfore not too much info in it, but there were 11 anns with 495 multiple reactions (45 per post). Most liked (multiple and singular reactions) was the weekly writeup (2017-12-30; 133/33).

In 2018 there were 149 anns with 37105 reactions (~249 per post).
Most liked frank as written above. Most multiple likes 2-5 are
the cooperation with the litecoin foundation (2018-12-20; 708)
the release of stakenet.io (2018-07-06; 664)
one core dev update (2018-06-27; 655) and
the ann on the lightning swaps going live on mainnet (2018-10-28; 595).
Comparing to singular reactions
the release of stakenet.io (2018-07-06; 88)
release of the whitepaper 2.0 (2018-05-20; 72)
an article on cointelegraph about xsn (2018-05-01; 68) and
the one core dev update from before (2018-06-27; 67).

In 2019 there were 32 anns until 2019-04-05, which gained 9267 reactions (~289 per ann).
Top5 multiple reactions are:
ann on getting added to abcc (2019-02-25; 659)
ann on getting added to coinall (2019-03-08; 635)
ann on internal testing of mclw (2019-01-30; 610)
the sneak peak of the mclw (2019-02-15; 515) and
the ledger git merge ann (2019-01-25; 509).

the singular reactions top5 are:
abcc-ann (2019-02-25; 77)
ann on internal testing of mclw (2019-01-30; 67)
sneak peak mclw (2019-02-15; 66)
ann on trezor merge and mclw “nearing completion” (2019-02-12; 62)
ann on coinall again (2019-03-08; 61)

and now a few thoughts of mine:

2018 had too many Anns, every ~2.45 days was too much, there are 35 anns with less than 100 multiple reactions, the highest number of anns only got 50-99 reactions (19). In 2019 on the other hand there are only 3 anns with less than 100 reactions, highest number has got 200-249 (5) followed by 100-149, 149-200 and 300-349 (each 4). Not announcing everything seems to work better.

On the other hand if you take the non/almost non reacted to out of the statistic, you will find, that there has been almost no change in community size. Either no new people joined, or former community members disappeared, which is a little concerning.

But I finally understand, why I liked 2018 discord better – the most liked anns (besides frank) were all tech/dev/information, in 2019 the exchanges take a more prominent place. I hope it is bc so called normies are not interested in the tech behind it as much as in making money, but there has been a downturn in well researched tech articles by the team as well.

Dont wanna say too much about the contents of the anns, but it is somehow impressive how often this project changes its direction. That can be very good for not missing out on groundbreaking tech as ln, but it gets rather annoying, when somehow nothing gets finished for some time.

Anyway – optimists: the team just did not put their focus on exchanges in 2018, bc they knew they wont have a product as good as what they were aiming for. They have been internally testing the mclw for 3 months soon, might as well get a few exchange deals before the next released

Pessimists: the team is rather chaotic and does not seem to follow any greater plan (roadmap), items change, quarters become stages, the mclw is around the corner for months, as is the new qt wallet with unlock for staking only,… . Unless a real update (NOT around the corner, NOT soon, NOT nearly finished, NOT ready when it is ready) comes soon the new exchanges will only make dumping easier.

For the realists - dyor

reading through the whitepaper 3.0 again, and i guess some changes are in order, since the paper is from first of july 2018.

the executive summary is not entirely true anymore.
rsb for example ( "All profits will be given back to XSN coin owners one way or another. Some options being explored are coin buy-back-burns and air drops to existing coin owners. Other options will be distributing the service-fees to all involved parties. At least XSN will reward coin holders via an RSB mechanism, which is a proof of burn technology for service- and business-provider who use the XSN network." ; p5) has changed into reinvesting into the project, which of course profits every holder, but is different nevertheless

and is "Convenience due a new multi-currency wallet:Stakenet multi-currency wallet will enable users to stake and earn rewards from one location, rather than as currently where a wallet is required for each specific coin" (p5) still true? nothing on the roadmap on it, i guess a core wallet update with ccpos might be it, but anyway - the multicurrency lightwallet should be part of the whitepaper

"Cold storage exchanging from a hardware device:In 2018 Q4, users will have the ability to trade Ledger and lightning network compatible coins through our DEX without the coins ever leaving the security of cold storage." (p5) pls change the date

"TPoS Marketplace:Stakenet.io will host a merchant marketplace where coin owners can hire merchants to trustlessly stake their coins using TPoS, while the coins remain on a Ledger or Trezor hardware wallet, or any other cold storage." (p5) will  not be a thing according to discord, tpos should be integrated with the masternodes in the future;

that would be the executive summary, not talking about things that are developed - as the disclaimer states it is about things that are being developed and not already deployed - but there have been some changes

and another few things: an old and inaccurate roadmap of 2018 is within the wp (p12)
are the planned/developed privacy and security features still the same? (p32-36 et al)
the tpos parts need to redone, since the merchants wont play a role in the future
is stakenet still trying to get something done with atomic swaps? (p44/45) else remove pls
for stakenet.ios part (p48) neither pooled masternodes nor the tpos marketplace are planned anymore
xsnmerch.io (p54) is not available anymore, dont know if the page is being redone or just down, if down, pls remove

from 11.5 millions in the beginning the treasury has gone down to 6.288.792 XSN (jan 17th 2019) to 5,248,671 XSN today
[7YaJ7nZnXPnZc21ER4hF74jN6dm67ELhnT - 1,630,857; 7WLZ92VMaVPV2CFATK3fFyDzwY2vrFuKGA - 141,031; 7UH6TStnJxJTJSGkn58g9TwapowCwbrrNr - 159,031; 7ezUJ5WGqxDJmDSU2Qjbd49XvNurMExCRz - 165,887; 7aDP2dDUBgt6cQWvwjXKraShneTfRNZHsm - 167,469; Xot47MBm9nn17dGNjPTvANVL51ckg4acrJ - 0; XvTtMhf4BTamY1rYTYmpUABMpe3AhdzcAW - 1,160,821; XdohZJJNjt58Q8bVYKniE9JqNmj5ZfviEK - 1,216,470; XgHb8RcxKEVpLpGCGSfr7PBhaeyXESPohD 375,105; XsXUrym97kYmgYS6dZinKy9aPBJtKjsW9s - 250,000]

so one quarter cost about 1 million (plus rewards treasury), which would make about another year of development (with some extra expanses). since there is not too much happening on the news front, that might at least ease some minds

edit: hmm the market does not seem to ease its mind, the lower the price, the more treasury will get used, the sooner the dev will run into more problems. since a question concerning decreed and quantum staking (i think on discord, might have been telegram) on the cloud got answered with not now bc tight budget, the site already ran into that problem. the decision to go for three different projects (site/hardwareeposthingy/coin) in the first year was ambitious, and now the prioritzing seems to kick in with a much tighter budget.

Latest announcement on the Discord:

@everyone MN Owners! Please input the following commands into your MN controller wallet's debug log to pass this months dev budget.

` gobject vote-many 5506a9add58a475dcb84911c2a6af609da67d1079fb27ec22524457c0ec19dc3 funding yes `

This month we have completed the wallet portion of the DEX, updated key enhancements to core-wallet, and will be able to implement cold staking using trezor directly from our own MCLW as soon as Trezor updates their firmware (when this is ready we will release our MCLW to the public so our community can cold stake XSN from our light wallet right away )

Now that multi-currency support is stable we look forward to completing and launching the DEX portion of the wallet, which we will have news on this month

Our dev team has also started periodic (weekly) dev progress updates to our roadmap for the community as well see last weeks here:

Excellent project, very happy to have it as part of my portfolio.

One question I do have is how the devs quantify the % roadmap updates:

'Privacy Swaps (25% to 40%)' being an example.

Could they elaborate on what progress has been made?

endless blockrewards/staking, but not sure if you are trolling, since i don't imagine this coin to stabilize around 10 eurocents. if that happened with the upcoming features, the project would be dying over time just because of devfunds running out. and a look on the orderbooks would show you how much the price could swing if people were loosing confidence. not too much being asked for, not even 100k and the price would be around 1100 sat. but when the mclw, dex,... will get released, there hopefully wont be too much "stability".

decided to put my ps into words americans with their very indirect ways of critizing wont get as fud.

i am still confident, that the team is working, also very happy with the progress being made, and i am a big fan of weekly updates. But i dont fully understand how the mclw is about to be ready, when firstly it is said to be ready, but we only have to wait for trezor, and secondly it is stated, that it is not even in showcasing/testing state. therfore i think that 99% sounds rather ambitious, when not even tested and arguing to have to wait on someone elses work. 99% sounds like finished, not like not even in showcase state. maybe it is just me misunderstanding the ann and the team messages on discord - since no native - but i don't think it would be fair to argue there is 1% to go, as long as the one percent does not even lie within the teams hands. and many still remember the "effort" ledger put into integrating a coin with a lifelong support contract.

The MCLW is complete in the sense that it’s functional and you can send/receive multiple currencies from it. So with that it could be released now but there are multiple Multicurrency wallets on the market so the decision was made to wait for one of the other big features to be complete to release so it will have a bigger impact.

Trezor Cold storage staking is complete so once they update their firmware the plan is release then. However other parts of the wallet are also nearing completion like the 1 click Swaps and DEX so if it’s starting to look like Trezor is taking too long we can launch with one of those features instead.

So while the MCLW is “complete” as a version 1.0 there is still many more features to add to it so it will constantly be updated from here on out even once released. So things like the auto update feature, new coins and stuff like that will keep getting added.

thank you for your answer. so worst case if trezor took for ever, the wallet would be releaseable anyway, but if they were fast, it would be a marketing tool as well. got it.

Correct, we learned a hard lesson from Ledger after how long it took them to add us so we have multiple backup options for this. Trezor however seem far easier to work with so far though so not expecting them to work on Ledgers timescale

Weekly update:

https://link.medium.com/70XtEyR5GW

Roadmap Progress Update (May 14th 2019)

TOR integration into MCLW (20-80%)
MCLW (99-100%) Private Beta
XSN DEX (70-80%)
LN Privacy swaps (60-75%)
Wallet auto updates (80-100%) private beta
DEX Aggregator (0-10%)

This week we are proud to have achieved a working stable light wallet that is now entering into private beta. We have also added a new feature to the roadmap...

DEX AGGREGATOR |
As other networks build and launch decentralized exchanges we find it in our best interest to also provide toolkits and portals into not only our DEX but other DEX’s as well, providing the best options for liquidity and exchange rates to our users. This addition will ensure that XSN will grow and benefit along with the DEX industry as a whole. Fees taken by this DEX aggregator will be used either for XSN buybacks & burns or dev funding.

Other notable progress has been made with TOR and auto updating as well.

Lookout for our dev update next week, and track progress on our official roadmap here https://stakenet.io/roadmap/

ah i just figured, that my posts were wrong anyways, was thinking of the launch of the mclw and not the development as stated on the roadmap.

was there an article or something i missed explaining this change from launch to development?
