At first hand it is really hard to see if an ICO Project is a scam because most of them are really deceiving, covering their true intents through their marketing strategies. Better thing to do is to dig deeper, do more research about the ICO. Check the team behind it, the road map and the website. The contact channel is also very important.

It is hard to know whether or not the project is scam. But certainly there are indications that will help us detect one. Like doing our own research by checking popular webs as topciolist, icowatchlist, and icoBench among others. Also when their spreadsheets is not up to date then that is one indication that admin is not doing their job. Check their telegram, if they have extremely low community support then it must not be a good project. Or the admin in telegram is a little rude and rough around the edges, or unprofessional then it must be a no good project or a scam.
And of course check the team behind it and who manages it. That's all I did.

During 2016, about 300 ICO took place, which raised $ 300-500 million. This result was confirmed in the first quarter of 2017. For the first half of 2017, statistics speak of a billion dollars collected by various block companies. Every day starts up to 10 different ICOs. The plan is scheduled for 2-3 months. The amount of information is simply enormous. For its systematization in the network there are many "assistants". I believe that this statistics of the past years speaks volumes and it can not be said that the majority of ico companies are scammers.

If a project doesn't reach the hard-cap , then it's easy to be scam . Usually , if a project is potential , then the website looks great and has good supporters ( ex : 24/24 ) .

How do you know if it is a scam? Because I have encountered a bounty that let me finish all the translations first and didn't respond to me after I have passed it. I hope bounties will not be like this anymore because they demand and we did our part but they didn't do theirs. I hope you could answer my question.
Here you can never be sure that bounty company is not scam. No one can guarantee you that. Sometimes you participate, follow all the rules, and then it turns out that it is scam.

It's difficult to say for certainty which if a bounty will turn to scam. There are many factor that can contribute to a well package bounty to turn to scam. If a project are unable t raise require fund would you say bounty would be their top priority?

We can't be sure for 100% will be scam for ICO or not. However, we can evaluate ICO: developers team, idea, preico success and etc.

When projects do not have their own ideas, when a team is unknown to anyone, when they can not apply their ideas in public everyday life. These all points can tell you that you do not need to invest in this crypto project.

If the team are anonymous and the white paper is an unrealistic this is a sign of some bounty scam or you can review their project on the trusted ICO's rating.

Unfortunately, you cannot exactly know if an ICO is a scam, but you can have less chance of getting scammed by participating in credited managers here in bitcointalk. At least you are sure you cannot be scammed by the managers, so less worry.

Try to check out the team , search for their linkedin profile or other social media accounts to know if they are real. I also do bounty with project that hires an already known campaign manager with no negative trust. Lastly you can also check them out on ico rating websites to see. Just a little bit research will save you from wasting your time and resources on some shitty bounties

I think for now you should always check the Team and see if they are real people. This for me is a big red flag if they are pretending to be people they aren't and also if they hide their identity for so called privacy reasons. I have been scammed int he past way too much not only in ICOS but by developers who never showed their face and got me to stupidly pay upfront for work they never did and they ran off with my funds. ALWAYS make sure there is a proper transparent team with a decent track record.
