Unfortunately, there are lots of examples like you've described.. I feel really sorry about your experience.. Especially translation bounty.. I know how time-consuming and challenging this work can be.. Being an interpreter myself, I have never wanted to participate in such bounty campaigns, cause I don't want to risk my time and my effort, cause when participating in bounty, you are never sure what you'll get at the end.. I would recommend you to read a lot of information about a project before signing up for its bounty campaign. I use icodrops website, and it has never let me down.

First of all, study the ICO well, research for their background and also take a look at the moderator. Most of the bounties have telegram, and it can also be a way to determine the legibility of the bounty, you can seek for the telegram group and ask questions about the one that is managing that bounty program.

How do you know if it is a scam? Because I have encountered a bounty that let me finish all the translations first and didn't respond to me after I have passed it. I hope bounties will not be like this anymore because they demand and we did our part but they didn't do theirs. I hope you could answer my question.
You can determined a person specially when money is involved only few can be trusted. When a professional scammers is there researching wont take effect ,they do some tactic to make those participants believed that the project is legit and no redflag is the addition to make it more real.

Hi, now it is impossible to know if a bounty is a scam or not. There are some tips which will help you to reduce the number of scam bounties. First of all, it is a bounty manager, some of them have only good companies. Second tip: analyze a project.

I have my own strategy that helps me in 75% of cases. First of all, you need to look at the team, it's important. After that, the design should also be of high quality. And on the product that is offered. Of course, sometimes even with all these steps come across scammers, but the risk of running into them becomes much lower.

Yes, the information of the ICOs team members will let you know if that ICO is a scam or not. My experience tells me that scam ICOs does not have a good team members or the members is anonymous.

It is almost impossible to recognize fraud in the middle or in the middle of the project. Attracting investors money is a very difficult marketing problem, many say the main thing - the product of the project, many - the project team. By all accounts, talking about fraud is harmful to everyone - both for project developers and investors, and generally for the development of cryptography in general on the planet. The main thing - patience. The result of the project is expected not earlier than two years. Failure is also a result, after the failure you need to proceed further and wait for luck. And continue to move more and more))

Some red flags for the beginners in the crypto world! Make sure to check these red flags before investing in any ICO.

1.CLAIMS OF HIGH, GUARANTEED RETURNS.
2.CELEBRITY ENDORSEMENTS
3.CLAIMS OF “SEC-COMPLIANT” (guarantees that their coins will trade on an SEC-compliant exchange where you can buy and sell them for profit)
4. INVESTING WITH A CREDIT CARD.
5. PUMP AND DUMP SCAMS.(Tempting you with guaranteed gains with pumps and dumps during pre ico to crowd sale)
6.Team members without any social profile. if they provide be sure to check the genuinity on basis of followers and background.
7.Language( grammar is correct or not)

and if you have done these be sure to read the whitepaper!!

Sometimes, even great projects with real solutions, hurt their own bounty participants by encouraging participation where 10's of thousands join in a day, and the original thousand or two, are diluted by multiples instantly.  You can't blame them for getting business at this expense.  So i look at it, like, "do dev actually care about the real early adopters" will they account for us when the bounty after 10's of thousands of people will join. Usually the answer is, they cant give more than 50 dollars in these types of situations.

I note that the best bounty pay for me, is where its a great project, and the bounty pool tiers allocations. . Simply vital is perfect example of a bounty run perfectly to scale as many people as necessary. Even though they had 28000 participants, I still earned 500 dollars being in the top percentage of bounty stake earners. Two examples of bad bounties were, open and suchapp. We were promised huge amounts, participated for 6 months, then in a single day, the admin opened the contest to 50k participants, and they just diluted the shares by so much. I ended up making 75 dollars at today's prices. Had, they tiered the earnings, I would have earned thousands of dollars.

Thank you for a great topic. You have done a great job. This not only helps to choose and track companies, but also to identify  scam.

Very easy way to find, if it's a scam or not, The main think is to look at the team. An ICO must have clear an open partners that show their bona fide faces and have an obvious identity, you can also visit their website to see if it a genunine or fake

The answer is the ICO is a failure and did not generate enough funds for the project to continue, so they are not going to pay bounty hunters because the project will be pause, I have seen so many projects like this when I was just starting out in this forum, maybe because investors are now very choosy when it comes to investing in ICO.

Your question is so common these days when the scammers abound. Everywhere you look right now, there are failed projects. Failed projects may not be outright scams but then they are still partially liable because they mostly failed because of their own faults. I have seen projects that do not move several months after their successful ICO, after they raised millions of USD from the investors who trusted them.

Scam bounty is not very difficult to recognize. The first is a fake team. Team members do not have pages in social networks. The second is fake partners. If they have an incomprehensible roadmap then this too can be a sign of a scam.

The way to tell if a bounty is scam or not, is that you do it lol. Now, to analyze a good project or not is very difficult, but the project is good, the bounty campaign is not necessarily good. Because too many people participate.
