Those with 1080tis, are you using enemy 1.08 or what? have you tested different intesities?
It seems that between 20 and 21 nothing changed for me

on enemy 1.08 for a week now. i 20 and getting better results.

I'm on Enemy 1.08 as well running 6 - 1080ti's but i have experienced the miner freezing up and hash drops like a rock. It's not really a crash, as the miner window stays open as if to want to continue working. Anyone else experience this? After closing the miner and restarting to program...all is good. It's just going to suck if this happens while i'm at work. Does anyone know what might being going on and how do i get the miner to auto close and then restart, even if it means a complete system restart?

Thank you for your time  Grin

What settings and pool are you using? And which brand model 1080TI?

Settings : +85 core, +500 mem
Pool: ravenminer
Model 1080TI: Aorus

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

What is your definition of dropping like a rock?  50MH/s to 40MH/s?  Or is it much more extreme like 50MH/s to 5MH/s?

And are you looking at the miner hash rate or the observed hash rate from the pool you're mining?

Grin Grin Grin Definition of drop like a rock = down to nothing, 0MH/s, Sorry i should have been more precise  Wink I was looking at the miner hash rate.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ravencoin&rdid=com.ravencoin

ravencoin wallet in playstore , just annouce in discord ~
Just installed it. No obvious way to import a private key other than from a backup phrase and the support link is broken. Might be OK in use....

Installed it today, transfered almost 10k coins, and i received them, i saw them in the wallet
now i logged in and i see just 60 coins, the last 3 transactions that i've received from the pool
WTF is going on

mobile wallet from google playstore, previous post suggests it's somewhat broken, proceeds to install it and transfer 10k RVN, 10k RVN lost  - it's logical  Roll Eyes

He said that the support link is broken, not the app

Good practice: new mobile wallets from the google playstore = avoid until proven safe

Yes, but if you still want to try and use: always make a test transaction with a tiny amount first! Remember, you're not testing the network, you're testing the wallet software!

Dunno if anyone mentioned this in the last day or so as I'm just running out the door and don't have time to check...

But RVN is now in Blockfolio
..just sync coins when you go to add.
Just emailed Blockfolio support the list of 6 exchanges I have - if anyone knows a better way let me know or just do it yourself.

I.e. Email:
...How can we go about updating the exchanges for Ravencoin?
The only one configured currently is CryptoHub but with the low volume it can present the incorrect value.
E.g. see below a purchase of 1.7 RVN for 563 sats instead of the last sale of 370 sats gives the blockfolio increase of 53%

The Exchange that has the highest volume and representing a better price is CryptoBridge.

Here are all the known exchanges:

Exchange 1 crypto-bridge
https://crypto-bridge.org
https://wallet.crypto-bridge.org/market/BRIDGE.RVN_BRIDGE.BTC

Exchange 2 Barterdex
https://komodoplatform.com/decentralized-exchange/

Exchange 3 Nanex
https://nanex.co/
https://nanex.co/exchange/RVNNANO

Exchange 4 graviex
https://graviex.net/markets/rvnbtc

Exchange 5 Cryptohub
https://cryptohub.online/market/

Exchange 6 QBTC
https://www.qbtc.com/

Ravencoin (RVN) Decentralised: RHE9Pys8aQ47G28PYhC2umaT7ouNvtpXkU
Hanacoin (HANA) Centralised: HJzbjF8YUcETVB6K23o84aRY7wBirzJNrr

They need money for listing on exchanges. What happend to the money that was give by Overstock ?

What money? Overstock hasn't paid a dime so far (unless they OTC/bought off exchange.) Some programmers are salaried by Overstock via Medici, but there was no, "Hey, I'll pay you lots of money for the coin."

The coin was all mined. The devs didn't pre-mine this to sell to anyone. There was no ICO.
No, they were not buying the coin they were investing in it's development. The CEO said he invested  "millions of dollars into teams”.

Yeah it is. It's quite big news. The dev has a donation address in that article and we all should throw him something. It's  quite good marketing for RVN if he pulls it off

They have mentioned to the dev that they will implement Ravencoin but it will take a month or two due to being busy.
So far there is only 7 donations in the HW wallet fund.

https://rvn.hash4.life/address/RFYpqPQqZKKbFCSXMzownDqHEs6ZWHpQaq
(as usual get the address from the ANN post or the Reddit article above and don't trust us forum dwellers)

Even if it's 2RVN 5RVN or a few hundred RVN lets start throwing some at him

https://cointelegraph.com/news/overstock-ceo-puts-millions-of-dollars-into-unknown-coin-compares-to-bitcoin

It was a sham. He lets his employees work on RVN on company time. However the time has come for the moneybois to quit with the "community coin" scam in my opinion, this coins community is governed like NO OTHER community coin. I'd call it a corporate-community-shielded model. The price manipulation on Crypto-Bridge can be alleviated by getting listed on bigger exchanges. If Patrick could invest a million before, what's another million from Bruce Fenton or any other "founding party" to get Ravencoin listed on exchanges with more visibility? I'm sure you they will tell you a DEX is great, and it was for RVN's first exchange, but the time has come for some proper volume for this coin.

Maybe they just like the price manipulation, or don't care and want to keep pretending it';s a community coin. Who knowz.

Settings : +85 core, +500 mem
Pool: ravenminer
Model 1080TI: Aorus

I think you're too aggressive with your mem setting.
Read JackIT's testing on 1080TI's
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3385643.0
https://ravenforum.org/topic/32/enemy-1-08-various-settings-test-results
https://ravenforum.org/topic/34/enemy-1-08-100-tdp-no-oc-vs-250-mem

You just don't pick up enough extra coins to make aggressive OC worth while, especially if you get any crashes or resets.

“How did you go bankrupt?” Bill asked.

“Two ways,” Mike said. “Gradually and then suddenly.”

In my opinion, quite a young cryptocurrency.Talking about the prospects of Ravencoin is difficult, because at the present time there is no need for the functionality that offers Ravencoin. Most likely, in a year or two the demand for services will be much higher than it is now.

What functionality and application do you see being needed in a year or two?

Would like to hear your insight.

Thanks

I'd say they want to keep it as separated as possible to keep it away from legality links to their corporate entities.

...Also my miners are to be switched off for a while as I have a new base in a country where the power is US$0.56 a KW.
The RVN network will suffer now without my 30mh/s sorry about that. ...and my 1070's never got to the PIRL masternode goal.
I will just buy it now with the usual power money I was using...
Well, I've switched off my miners and packed them up. It's a horrible feeling. I feel so removed. I may have to rent hash power somewhere to feel involved, but it's not the same.
Someone may have to post a screenshot of their mining console so I can stare at it on the plane.

FYI - there will be a Raven Coin meetup in Salt Lake City, Utah on May 7th.  It is free to attend and will be livecast as well.  Lead developer for Raven Coin, Tron Black, will be doing a Q&A.  Also speaking will be Bruce Fenton and Overstock's Patrick Byrne.

https://twitter.com/Ravencoin/status/991361386252062720

Should be a good source of information for those interested in the coin.
