What’s the best pool? Was in crypto pool party, hash rate just dropped in half Sudo update-miners seemed to help a bit
I use miningpanda.site. Been on it for a while...its been very stable, hourly payouts, small-medium size pool (hashrate is usually 50-80 Gh/s).

You cant solo mine to the wallet , i tried that it only allows solo mining using CPU as far as I can tell, the problem too is all the mining tools out here are stratum not getwork Hi, Solo mining to the Ravencoin QT wallet is definitly supported but I´m not sure if it´s worth it. I´ve tried it 2 weeks ago when the difficulty was down to around 17000 and I didn´t catched a single block withing 4 days with 100 MH/s throwing in the game. But if you really want to try it here are the steps to do so: - Open raven-qt.exe - Settings - Configuration - Open Configuration file (at this time it should be empty) Add the following: rpcuser=user rpcpassword=pass rpcbind=ip of your rig (i.e. 10.0.0.10):8766 rpcallowip=10.0.0.1/24 server=1 - Save the file and stop wallet and restart it - Download nevermore miner (because I think it´s the only one the supports the correct parameters) - create a *.bat with the following: :mine ccminer.exe -a x16r -o http://ip address of rig:8766 -u user -p pass -i 20 --no-longpoll --no-getwork --no-stratum --coinbase-addr=ravencoin wallet address goto :mine - Fire up the *.bat file AND Good Luck best regards

What is the main purpose of the Ravencoin? Is Ravencoin itself already a person who knows and follows it?

How do you do to calculate the hashrate of X16R?
Are you constantly changing the algorithm, how do you mean XXX Mhs? What do you mean exactly?

you look at the average hashrate over 24 hours, most yimp pools have this

Can this coin be 20$ in 10 years? I have 14081.59990099
In ten years anything is possible. It sure would be nice. I just mined my first 1000 RVN. not sure about 20$ and project perspercitve in 10 years, but i`m almost sure that the price might increase a lot this year. the diff is probably to skyrocket in few months because of FPGAs spreading if somepme will made a fpga for this then no more gpu mining for this to . as it worse than asic . do you think its possible for this algo ? maybe hard but i read that it can be done to bed its only asic proof and no fpga proof or am i wrong ?. You are correct that x16r is ASIC resistant, but there's not much that can be done to make it FPGA resistant at this time. Suppose it`s already exists or very close for release; not sure where that guy got the hashrate, but: X16R: 2 cards daisy chained get 600MH/s total (1 card worth around 4-5k USD) (link here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3459858.msg36162701#msg36162701) 8k for 600 mhs lol , add on top of it all the work you have to do and custom cooling setups since these things have no heatsinks or fans i can do 500 or so mhs of x16 for like 6k , now the huge difference could be the power savings though with what setup you can do 500 mh with 6k? the power consumption is also the key, as 2 FPGA runs around 300-400 wh, while any other setup for same hashrate will have x15-x20 power consumption

There's always a risk with new coins, especially when they tend to be more mysterious and not completely transparent at the beginning as to what they represent and what their plans are for the future. So there is a risk with Ravencoin as well at this point as there are still many unknown, but higher risks seem to pay well if the situation tends to turn out to be for the better.

Its use case is for tokenizing assets, and its heavily backed by Overstock / T0. They're (Medici Ventures) working on the asset layer now, but are also planning on building in reward (dividend), messaging, and voting function into it, so it would be geared for a token exchange like T0. Given that, it seems like a pretty high probability that it will mature into its planned use case for tokenized security exchanges, which is projected to be a multi trillion dollar market in the coming years. Bruce Fenton is sort of driving the project, but he's been steadfast since it's not truely a corporation's coin and there was no ICO or premine for it, that he isn't the authority for the coin. ravencoin.org for more info, or pop in the discord.

ccminer works but its like 30 prrcent slower than z-enemy miner, or have you been able to test solo mining with z-enemy? I don't think it has the same commands either Yes ccminer is slower but I don´t know if z-enemy supports switch "--coinbase-addr" which is necessary for solo mining. I haven´t tried it.

I haven´t tried it. solo mining to wallet is a bust , after an hr or so the rigs pointed to the wallet stop submitting shares i dont think the wallet is set up to handle 15 or more connections for a long period of time it seems to bog down. tried wallets on serveral dedicated machines, 3 to 4 rigs per wallet seems the max, which is impractical. a yiimp instance and local stratum seems the only way

I agree! The risk for the new currency is that all information is mysterious in the dark. It makes the community suspicious and many questions around the project. According to a contributor, this is a reasonable project that everyone can build and contribute. Very good! But in those contributions, the builder must be screened, organize contributions so the project can grow? How does the algorithm change affect the future of the project?
