If everyone has a moment please go and retweet / Like this tweet in response to the recent ASUS initiative to get gamers mining when they are not playing games. The idea is that RVN would be a great fit and Wax.io already liked it. https://twitter.com/oppwn3nt_sl4y3r/status/1068283894187778048?s=21

Why is mining difficulty still so high for ravencoin? I had a look at whattomine, and at current prices, you'd still be better of GPU mining eth and trading for ravencoin.

Am I missing something here - is there a new miner out that is throwing out my calculations (ie. the new miner has a higher hashrate than what I'm putting into whattomine).

NVidia(GTX 1070 and up): RavenCoin
AMD: ETH

I mine RavenCoin with  13 x GTX 1080ti and 4 x GTX 1070ti
I mine Ethereum with 20 x RX 580

I mine Ravencoin to support Ravencoin.

I don't think it's very well known. The volume is horrid on these pairs other than RVN/BTC and some of these exchanges are not well know as well. At the moment I'm only active on Cryptobridge, Polo, Bittrex. Nothing on Polo yet for RVN, then I trade RVN/USDT.

Agreed with you it is easiest way to let know about active markets instead of looking over the longest list without having any back link.

There is good support for RVN accumulation going to finish soon we will see this in good mode again which could help this to find next stable floor and this time it has more high chance to see this above 700 satoshi. Dev team also have good plan to push this towards mainstream adoption.

Interesting article. I don't know what to think but asset layer on RVN there is less real usage but high price. in one year 5 billions of coin..This is heavy amount sell pressure in bear mrket

miners make momey but where will all activity come from?  this is what is needed. We need dex like eth, xcp apps like eos. These new features like assets it seems are not so new already exist on bitcoin. but nobody support btc because less profit, cannot mine. Greedy,

Most important is usage on asset system. not only hype and speculation..and now RVN holder is largely hoping about overstocks plans. to take them to moon.

Interesting because I pulled my list from https://coincodex.com/crypto/ravencoin/exchanges/ and it's missing. Only 17 pairs. Vs 27.

Let the miners sell their coins as market is ready to absorb all the cheap coins. If you look at asset layer by traditional point of view or current scenario we are surrounding with situation may be you don't read the future. What is being built is designed to meet the need of future. Visionary people talk about tomorrow while traders think at the spot.

My question above was more about why do many people are mining raven in the first place.

The difficulty is so high you'd be better off mining something like ethereum and then trading for ravencoin. You'd get more rvn that way.

That's my point, I've mined for 24 hours rvn directly, and mined something else and swapped for rvn. You get more mining something else and trading for raven.

This is why I asked if there is a new miner or something else I'm missing as to why rvn has so many miners, even when the difficulty doesn't justify this approach.

I am interested to discuss RAVEN Coin because Bittrex gave a new surprise.
With a supply of RAVEN Coin, 21,000,000,000 make the price of the Coin be cheap but this is Expensive and the lowest price (All Time Low) is around 195 Satsohi.

dammnnn !!

Visionary dont need to think for today and tomorow ,normal people should. People who read this forum are not big traders with milions in pockets, they are mostly normal.Of course they thing about the spot,..1 day trade half year life. Miners are here ONLY for money.. nobody give a sh..t about "supporting RVN.." as someone speaks above.. Supporting with 13 80ti's... whatt a funny story. If he has 1500 80ti's obviously can support something..but with 13.. or just have free electricity..simple. Cheesy

I should remind one guy here.. Christmas is nocking on door..we all wait for Santa Bitcoin super pump.. Grin We need our Lambosss.. Lammmboo Lammmbooo....
