what's the innovation of RVN coin?

from my understanding, you can do this in omni wallet or also counterparty wallet ?

At 7.2 million new coins mined each day I suspect it will always be cheap.

At 2 cents per coin that's $144k mined per day

So you've got asset tokens and they're pretty much guaranteed to be cheap to use (due to block time, reward and massive amount in circulation), pretty much forever or until there's been at least several halvenings.

Not necesarilly: every time you create an asset rvn are burned. The project has a very wide range of items that can be targetted for tokenization, so I dont see so clear that it is allways to be that cheap.

We could also do the math considering how other coins with big supply did on the market for example

XRP ATH = $3.35
XRP supply (now): 40 000 000 000
XRP max supply: 100 000 000 000

RVN supply (now): 2 500 000 000
RVN max supply: 21 000 000 000

its only example but XRP has hit $3.35/1coin having 16 times more coins on the market and 4,7 times bigger max supply and the way more XRP can be created is way cheaper and faster than RVN could ever be mined because of POW on RVN and 1-click creation on the other hand with XRP

but thats only example on how someone could look on the market price of coin

I didn't even care about usefulness of coins in my example its just simple ...if any coin could do this than other also can (can not will Wink... ) which of course isn't quite right because of different use, functions, community support, hype etc. of every coin and i'm aware of that its only a chance. However I have to admit that I strongly support and believe in RVN Wink

Any dev view on why ASIC resistant algos are chosen? For me it doesnt make sense at all from a security standpoint. We need as much electricity to be spent, as efficient as possible, in order to keep the network security there. What if someone, over night, break the ASIC reistance of Ravencoin and gets majority of hashing power?

I am not member of devs team but in my view experience shows that manufacturing and operation of ASICs tend to be quite concentrated in few hands making more likely for a 51% attack to succedd thus making the net less secure.
So in my view you need a balance between computing power and resistance to a 51% attach, which I believe is the reason why some coins (like RVN) are ASIC resistant.

If seen from the price chart on their Coinmarketcap I think RVN are not too bad, they have a chart that tend to be active and I think this is a good thing, especially if seen RVN ranked 89 at coinmarketcap. RVN has showed that he has a pretty good potential

In few days we are going to celebrate first anniversary of Ravencoin on 3rd January when binaries were launched on the same day. It has been very good year for RVN by technical point of view and progress which we saw. Now all focus has shifted to new year for new kind of markets with heavy weight players entrance in this space.

So much love for raven. Half the other mining coins out there have a community filled with complainers - not raven! Lots of support even when the price drops Smiley

How can you have PPS of over 100%? Do you essentially mean you're providing an incentive (in the short term) out of your own pocket to get miners to come over to your pool?

How is this incentive being paid?

There are plenty of ways for pools to do so. Private futures contracts, luck factoring on a grander scale than what most miners think on etc. As long as it's from a reputable solid provider it doesn't matter and is none of our business.

It is getting ready for next run this is big opportunity for some people to buy more. It doesn't matter what is value of this coin at the moment but in long term this will be winner.

Well there is no harm in asking. I've never heard of 'elitehash' before, so asking how they operate is pretty reasonable.

If they don't want to answer, that's fine, but it is reasonable to ask how they can payout more than what is coming in through mining.

There are many reasons for this temporary small correction or drop in price whatever you call them. But starting from second week of January markets will begin to rise again. Daily volume for RVN is still very good in spite of decrease in value of coin. In short term level of volatility and unexpected results are likely high so keep eye on the bigger picture.
