3 chains gone here as well.
Followed all instructions provided by the Bitmain Support page to upgrade to latest firmware with SD flashing, but i wasn't able to flash the E3 somehow even i made it step by step as suggested.
Can someone that managed the flashing through SD card make a guide/tutorial step by step? Pretty sure the Bitmain guide misses something or it would have worked out, not?
Thx in advance.
It just does not work. Even Bitmain said, it does not work. The E3 was the worst miner so far. So nobody managed to flash the SD card so far? Seriously? About the worst miner, you are wrong, it's the B3 that is the worst Bitmain miner, but maybe the E3 is on 2nd place, lol.

I see a lot of people having issues with their E3 I had several with the one I borrowed to review, I go over the troubleshooting I did to fix it in this video. On mobile otherwise I’d type more about it!

Bitmain has painted themselves into a corner. Not that it matters. They've flooded the market in a price downturn and now they can't achieve enough efficiency enhancement to up price the new tech coming. Even if they could hold watts the same and triple hashing power, they can't realistically justify a $1,500.00 S9. Things are extremely grim. I take solace in knowing that a bunch of greedy corporate maggots that went "all in" on mining are about to get their throats ripped out. No matter what their KWH rate is. I will piss on their graves.

Does any one know how to flash Antminer E3 ?? IF i try web version get error : 413 - Request Entity Too Large
For SD card bitmain provide taz.gz file and not IMG. How to flash E3 using SD card???
PLease help
So bitmain support was helpful. Here is a manual for flashing Antminer E3 via SD card: Althougth you upload upgrade firmware from web interface use Antminer-E3-20180806.tar.gz (without "WEB" in the name). So we just use the Antminer-E3-20180806.tar.gz (without "WEB" in the name) file to upgrade via web?

Can anybody help me please? Why does my E3 not work at full capacity? I attached the photo. I do not understand the error "BB". https://ibb.co/cdjfYKHey, I got the same issue, I opened a ticket and the support told to send the faulty board to them (It was only one chain which has the BB error), now the miner is working at 130~140H/S, pictures below. I'm trying to get a free coupon from them to compensate for the missing days without the board but I know they will give nothing . https://ibb.co/cSR3yUhttps://ibb.co/nqw3yUhow you sent the board for repair? 1 hashboard has 6 asics boards on it (3 chains number ie 1,2,3 or 8,9,10 or 11,12,13). Mine is chain 11 is missing. One chain has 2 asics boards, so did you send whole 1 hashboard (6 asic boards)?

Yes, I sent the whole hashboard, you can know which chain in which hashboard by following their guide. https://support.bitmain.com/hc/en-us/articles/226142788-Testing-hash-board-one-by-one

It just does not work. Even Bitmain said, it does not work. The E3 was the worst miner so far. So nobody managed to flash the SD card so far? Seriously? I have flashed from SD yesterday. 1.Unzip and copy T9+ firmware fails to SD. https://file11.bitmain.com/shop-product/firmware/t9%2B%20-SD%20Tools.zip2. Insert SD and move jumper. 3. Switch miner on and wait 30 sec till blinking of both status lights simultaneously. 4. Power miner off, remove SD and move jumper to its original location. Now you have fully functional T9+ control board which can be flashed by the E3 firmware. 5. Download E3 Firmware : https://file11.bitmain.com/shop-product/firmware/Antminer%20E3/Firmware/0072018071812344880187tM1RPd0668/Antminer-E3-20180806.tar.gz6. Power miner up. 7. In Upgrade page select downloaded E3 firmware for flashing, uncheck "Keep settings" checkbox and flash firmware.

So we need to use T9+ firmware first via SD card (flashed), then use E3 firmware on web? Anyone has experience by updating the E3 firmware, it can fix the missing chain? i just dont get it. I think the hashboard has the problem (same as D3, missing chain cannot be fixed with updating the firmware).

Even the T9+ SD didn't work as the status lights just don't blink. Somethning just isn't working as it should. I have flashed a lot of Baikals so far, so flashing isn't something new to me, but with that E3 i just don't manage to flash the control panel successfullly....

Hey guys, thought I’d give my thoughts. Ever since updating to Geth 1.18.14/15 on all of my nodes, the E3 miners on my pool dropped as much as 15% in hashrate. This seems to be associated with the miner update interval, which is now set at 3s by default, and does not respond well to update interval variables above 10s.
This means block templates are sent to the miner at an alarmingly fast rate. Symptoms include high load averages (2+), and hashrate variation between 18-22MH. More than a few miners have lost chains. Pretty shitty.

My 2 miners missing 1 chain. I try to upgrade firmware with SD card but it didn't work. The red and green light didn't blink. Have anyone help everybody with youtube step by step. It's very helpful for friends. Bitmain said not clear about power on control board , plug or unplug cable with hashboard, offline or online with Lan.

Guys, now these are available relatively cheaply, would you buy one or two over a gpu rig? How long is it until the DAG is too big for E3 to mine ETH? There will be other options then anyway right?
Cheers

The E3 will last until the DAG exceeds 4GB

So are they worth buying? It seems like the cheapest way to add 180-190 Mhashes to my setup.
