Ok I don't understand the whole BitShares snapshot thing. So if I bought more PTS today does it mean those do not count for Bitshares? Also if I hadn't downloaded the new BitShares-PTS wallet would the PTS I had not get snapshotted?
If you held pts in your private wallet before snapshot then you csn download bitshares walket 10 yrs from now and get them when you import pts key.

How do I KNOW a Snapshot was taken?
I have the 10.5 PTS in my new Wallet since early March 1st.
But nothing telling me a snapshot was taken. I want to sell my PTS before they're worthless.
Also, where can I sell my PTS?

From miners perspective pts is under valued.. if you hold you will recieve free coins from other startup dacs.. one day they will be created just like alt coins.. except dacs must have solid business plans or else noone will buy into it so incentive is to release coins not 5 billion with first 4 billion mined the first week..

PTS will never be worthless. Short term problem is the lack understanding about PTS and DAC's such as BitShares. BitShares is not the end of the line and future DAC's released by Invictus will honor your PTS thus I would hold on to what you can. Even as just a coin, the momentum algorithm has made great strides to minimize the GPU vs CPU advantage. We wont even get into the small 2m cap with 1% inflation per year! If you want to trade them for some other nonsense ltc clone, try www.cryptsy.com

When I was watching snapshot-related the video, I remember that it's better to wait few days till 3-4 march if I'm not mistaken, to make 100% sure that your coins were taken into snapshot. Also, why sell PTS now, when panic sellers dropped the price? There are plenty (99/99%)) of other coins that are not backed by DAC shares, so why PTS should have lower value, then ordinary bitcoin/litecoin clones? Keep in mind, that they are shares in future DACs as well... I believe the price will go up, when we'll hear good news about Invictus projects, when BTS will go to the market etc etc

Gentlemen, can someone please help me, I've been reading all the posts about the conversion to BitShares but don't understand what happens to my PTS on Cryptsy (been there for months now). Will they be automatically converted to BitShares or should I download the new wallet and send them from the exchange to the wallet? appreciate any help!
Cheers

You need to have PTS in your possession, in your personal wallet before any snapshot date. By having PTS on an exchange such as Cryptsy, it is now up to them if they will honor this and provide you with your BTS. I would suggest opening a trouble ticket. Exchange Bter has honored this snapshot however I have not seen anything official from Cryptsy. Cryptsy could claim the BTS since it was in "their" wallet at the time.

Plug your PTS address into the following site. If you sent them early enough on the 28th, I'd imagine they were in the wallet by the last block on 2/28. http://bitbalance.azurewebsites.net/

And it says I have zero.
Well, I'm pissed. I sent them as early as I could and it took days for them to arrive, so no snapshot.

What exchange/pool were they on? BTer is honoring the snapshot, however I have not seen anything official from the other exchanges or pools.
