This is also a good idea. Good luck! As far as I know ETH also has many outstanding features and can compete with bitcoin. It can go up to bitcoin in the future. This is also the idea for my next investment when bitcoin prices are stable in the market. There are competing pennies in the market, and their prices are rising.

It will good if you choose both (bitcoin and ethereum) the movement price is depend on bitcoin price, when the price go down and go up it caused by bitcoin, I think about that. So, if you have invested in bitcoin and ethereum you will get profit from bitcoin when the price up, and you will get profit too if  you have invested in ethereum when the price up. I remember someone say don’t pull all your eggs in one basket, maybe it's right.

It is good if you do not have any ethereum already. There is no sure way to know if Ethereum is going to outperform bitcoin in future.

The idea is simply excellent, you will win by the number of coins and the growth dynamics. Already it seems that bitcoin can not show what it used to be, but probably not already, and the future will be on the ethereum.

a good idea. but I've done it a couple of months ago. some of the bitcoin I've switched to ethereum with hopes of this coin can be like bitcoin later on. I hope that my decision is correct.

remember there are some problems from projects that use ethereum platform, like denaro and the newest is centra. project or scam ico can also affect the growth of ethereum and I think that is a strong reason to slow growth for ethereum this year. but if you want to hold it for the long term, immediately do the idea you have said.

I think both ether and bitcoin have a great future. Also i do not see them as rivals, as they do different things. Having both eth and bitcoin seems a good decision

Then you might as well put in small cap promising alts. They will grow more than ethereum.

Yeah that is what I am aiming for,I can see that huge price bump will occur in ethereum soon because lots of projects will be based on Ethereum only so it creates demand for the ethereum.

This is crypto, unfortunately you can never be sure. I really like Ethereum and it is widely adopted and used a lot. Still, another project can rise and eat up some of Ethereum's market share.

Bitcoin will not be set aside very easily though.

PS: I don't hold either, I'm a low market cap alt holder.

This, there are plenty of solid small cap projects arround that can and will outperform Ethereum.  Ether is most likeley a 'safe' bet though, for what that's worth of course

it does not matter if you want to convert bitcoin to ethereum, but you have to remember price movements rise and fall faster bitcoin. and ethereum has a stable price resistance. so I think that's not a bad thing if you are ready to take risks.

I prefer bitcoin more than ethereum, better pick another coins like litecoin, monero or cardano imo if you really want to convert into other coin.

Keep some of your bitcoin to the ethereuum and then just keep your bitcoin to be your reserve funds. I guess there is a lot of potential of ethereum to growth more and more.
Vitalik was interested in change ethereum to the POS system with fixed supply and the majority of ether communities are supporting it right now.
it may better for you to keep some bitcoin in your wallet and you will not lost anything when your prediction becomes fail.
