I think it depends on the price you buy. If you only lose 10 percent of your money, then I suggest you sell and wait for a better opportunity to buy.
When you lose 50 percent of your money, I suggest you keep it.

alts are diluting to shit there is an endless stream of craps released daily
find the alt projects that have real time test development teams behind them..... this does not mean those with the highest market cap in all instances
there will be consolidation to these few alts over time as people wise up... don't be the last to locate them and get on board.

That is the volatility in the crypto market because the price can never be stable and a fix price because the market operate on the economic law of demands and supply so when ever the demands goes high the price will rise also. So no one can predict the future of the price and if you either decide to sell or hold it left for you to make the decisions.

we have had a lot of drop so far, and that means you are already too late to sell your altcoins that you are bag holding since you are in a huge loss already.
but also we can clearly see that the dumps have not even slowed down. which means there is still more dumps to come and that will bring the prices of altcoins even lower.
this is a good experience though, you should now learn not to hold on to shitcoins as they are falling. dump faster next time you see a drop being initiated by the whales (aka wise money).

Market cap will continue to fall down in 2018 year. Still I recommend keeping your crypto into 2019 when bullish trend may start again.

Due to unstable price of market, Is it now the best time to sell all the holdings of altcoin and revert it back to tether for safe mode? Will the price of each altcoin keeps going down? Please can anyone reach me on this.
Not trust in crypto, then sell all and quit! I beleive in crypto and crypto is the future , i buy more and hold for my fortune. Don't open yours account in this time, just buy with yours free money and go find some normal job. |

The price is now in a sharp downward trend. But it does not close the likelihood that uptrend will occur. My experience at the time of the downturn I sold some of my coins and held them partly to keep watch when prices rise and avoid losses. The next step is in your hands.

Bitcoin started going into a period of accumulation around 6570-6940 poles all day yesterday and trading volume in this area is not large. I think it will be low more in next week, good for now is invest the good altcoin I have seen lots of charts and lots of moon prediction . But currently market going downward trend more ICO's collected funds and tehy are dumping coins . Now has to be wise before investing any coins see the purpose and solutions. Dont be greedy yo get huge profit . Market will recover for sure in this year. |

Hold is the only thing I will say, the market works magic sometimes, this market that is going down slowly, when it will rise it may not take a week to hit the previous height and keep going high. So dear hold to avoid had I know. |

That is not true. Altcoin prices continue to fall. Selling altcoin when the price drops is not the right decision. You should keep all altcoins and sell them when the price is better.

Never sell if the price is low , You will gain nothing at all. Selling while the price is low will just make the whales happy. The volume of their assets will just grow bigger and bigger. And in the end, the rich will become richer. You need patience. Its not the end. And also, Keep Calm.

depending on the condition of the coin condition, whether the decline is not developing, or the decline is stable and again rises again. that you can see and you value how the coin survived. I think that the standard of panic sell is when eth price down. it's very sad, because we certainly sell altcoin coins to eth or bitcoin. if altcoin is stable, then what we have to see is the price of eth or bitcoin. my advice you do not panic first. make this your investment for the future. think positively that the coin you are investing in, will be a great advantage in the future.

I think because all the coins are now in a sharp decline trend it's better we save all the coins we have, if the price has started to rise sharply then we sell.

Yes it looks like people feared more because of this down fall continues from long time and all investors capital vanished heavily but i think that is not good idea to sell our coin in loss. So i will hold my altcoins for long term to get good retutn and will not sell in this panic conditions. Even if you have any capital you can buy good coin as well.
