Argentina are not out of the competition as long as they manage to beat Nigeria in the final match of the group stage. I can't see Iceland getting anything from Croatia. If Argentina beat Nigeria they will have 4 points which will put them in the 2nd place behind Croatia. Iceland will have to get a miraculous win with a big goal difference over Croatia in order to snatch 2nd place.

Yes there is still opportunity for Argentina to advance to the next round. If and only if, Argentina were able to qualify for the round of 16, I consider supporting them for the rest of their game. Remember Portugal on EURO 2016? They had a bad start but they were able to win the event. Maybe the pattern will be repeated by Argentina in this world cup.

Unfortunately, patterns don't exist in football, every match is different, every team is different, and every competition is different, so we can't really compare that Portugal with this Argentina. I think Argentina is going to qualify to the RO16, but I don't see them winning the whole thing, they've been looking awful so far.

If Argetina wins next tuesday and Iceland loses, Argentina advances to the RO16. If Iceland wins, Argentina would need to score 1 more goal than Iceland to advance to the next round. So, realistically, Argentina still have a chance of qualifying to the next round.

Nothing new. He dissapeared in the WC 2014 final vs Germany, and in the two Copa America finals against Chile. I think the whole world secretly knows Messi chokes in the big stages with the NT. And he's comfortable in Barcelona because he's surrounded by world class players, in Argentina he has Salvio, Rojo, Mascherano, Meza, Salvio, Acuña, Aguero (another player who chokes with the NT), etc.

The Germany team is pressuring Sweden right now, with 75 % ball possession they should be scoring anytime soon. This will be a total upset for the fans if they cant win the game. Worst case scenario is that they might be going home soon together with Argentina. This will be major upset because most people think they will win the world cup

Yes.. Even now Argentina do have better chance to qualify than either Iceland or Nigeria. Iceland can qualify only if they are able to beat Croatia and at the same time the Argentina vs Nigeria match ends in a draw. It is highly unlikely.

Yes.. Even now Argentina do have better chance to qualify than either Iceland or Nigeria. Iceland can qualify only if they are able to beat Croatia and at the same time the Argentina vs Nigeria match ends in a draw. It is highly unlikely.

IF they beat Nigeria. For me that would be a BIG IF, so far their performance are pretty bad. I wouldnt be surprised if they actually get another draw or even lose from Nigeria. Todays match prediction are fairly easy.
Belgium has clearly an advantage against Tunisia. Though Tunisia too isn't a weak team. It would be better not to risk for low odds for winner. With Belgium's scoring pattern, we can expect 2.5+ goals till full time by both teams.
Mexico will easily outperform south korea, the winner bet is over 1.65.
Germany would do it's best to win over sweden, and the odds is over 1.5.

Congratulations to Germany but let's be honest, the referee made a huge mistake and influenced the game when he didn't count an obvious penalty kick in the first 20 minutes tho. If the Swedish boys scored it, we will see a 180° different match.
Back to reality, i am a little bit worried about big teams becoming weaker and weaker. 0 skills Argentina, weak Brazil and a bit dizzy Germany...things ain't promising for em' if they continue playing like clowns...

The Swedes were way too defensive. They were leading 1-0 at half time and Germany were under pressure. Even after Germany equalized, Sweden should have attacked more, especially after Germany were reduced to ten men. I think Sweden paid the price for their defensiveness.

Argentina losing to Nigeria is almost unimaginable. A draw has more of a possibility, and in that case it will be a fight between Nigeria and Iceland to quality to the next stage. And Nigeria has better chances here, as they have a positive goal difference.

Nice treble win, Belgium was easy but Mexico still had to fight, their coach complained after 24 fouls from South Korea, never saw Koreans play like that before I guess they really felt the pressure,,, and Germany? I thought it was over at half time. They have to much quality though and kept attacking goal, eventually quality must shine through if enough games. If the World cup was a league, maybe we can still see Argentina inside too. I do not think South Korea can even draw, but Sweden maybe still can beat Mexico, so this group is not very certain.

Iceland don't need a 'miraculous win with a big goal difference'. Their goal difference is better than that of Iceland, although they have the same points. Iceland and Croatia are familiar opponents to each other. Croatia have already qualified, so they could be a bit lax against Iceland. But looking at the way Argentina have played until now, I would bet on Nigeria qualifying.
