Betting on these is too difficult indeed. My sixth sense tells me that Croatia is going to win the tournament, so I may risk it and give Croatia some winning money on the bets, but it's extremely hard to predict at this point.

France vs Belgium, very thought match, but France may be able to win Belgium, Griezmann is very motivated to become a world champion, would be one of the youngest world champions along with Mbappe which is also on fire. Very exciting matches for a football fan even if your teams are already out.

Feel bad for Zlatan for losing the bet against Beckham, for he was betting on the losing side. It was super clear that England were gonna beat Sweden, because Sweden's defense tactics weren't the best,everyone knows that.

Shame Russia were rubbish in the penalties, I was rooting for them to win.

Yeah they were flawless in the penalty shootout vs Spain and I was surprised they failed vs Croatia. I thought the Russians have been practising penalty shots specifically for the knockout stage. Maybe the stress was just too much for them to handle. Anyways Russia overachieved and went farther than anyone had expected. Respect

The finals prediction: England vs France.

That's my shout too. A tight game between France and Belgium with France winning by a goal, then an easier than expected win for England against Croatia. Belgium could maybe sneak it, but I just think that France will get an early goal and force Belgium to leave gaps in their normally solid defence. Who knows though, I'm just an armchair pundit enjoying the games.

Brazil have fought hard today and scaled another hurdle. With the way top teams are dropping out of the tournament like flies, you have to give Brazil huge credit. Mexico is not an easy team, so Brazil have faced a tough test today. now them and France look like favorites for the cup the way things are shaping up.

Whatever Brazil is the best. Neymar scored & provided a decisive assist after a very ferocious attack. Everyone was great, but should be consistent performance likes this match. well, I guess Brazil will face the Belgium.

Considering their consistency so far they do stand quite a chance if you compared it with the other team but world cup 2018 is more about surprise with top teams going down

You are right about this that FIFA world cup has upsets and a strong team knocks out by a normal team. This time same happened as Argentina and Portugal knocked out in the knock out moments. Now we see Russia, Uruguay and Brazil which are best and favorite for final and their winning chances are more than that of others. We may see further upsets but anything can happen here so keep watching for further updates about the final.

We can say that Croatia was very lucky in last two games, but they did not play nor close to how they can play. Which is the reason for such poor performances we can only speculate, but England will be a real test for them. It is possible that the match Croatia-England be very different from what Croatia show in last 2 games, they need to start play much better to reach the finals.

No doubt they have great players from Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus, Liverpool and some others big football clubs, but England is a much better team then Denmark or Russia. I am sure it will be one more interesting match, maybe again with extra time and a lottery of penalties kicks.

I think it's the other way around and Croatia will be a real test for England. England played very poorly against Columbia and were lucky to scrap through. If Rodriguez was playing I think they would have lost. People are giving too much credit to England I think and they've had a very easy drive to where they are now and even in the semis they have the easiest route to the final. The real test for them will be either France or Belgium as to how great they truly are but they've got to get past Croatia first who I doubt will be a pushover.

I don't know what's up with Croatia but after that flashy thrashing of Argentina they are playing with great difficulties vs mediocre teams and now they have played 240 minutes plus penalties in the knockout stage.

Mediocre teams just play more defensively since they have less "resources" to actually go for the win, they just have a defensive gameplan and nothing more, like Russia for example (or Sweden, England had a rought time trying to get past their defence yesterday), it's just really difficult to create chances and thrash your opponent when they're in full defensive mode. Big teams have an offensive mentality, meaning that they're more likely to leave open spaces, and we saw how Croatia managed to exploit that weakness vs Argentina (though Argentina was simply a trainwreck in every single match in this WC).

I think there is some truth in what you both say, this will be a completely different match for Croatia since England probably will not play like Russia or Denmark. This will mean more space for attackers and a possible match with more goals, but on the other side it is semi-final game and maybe both teams have different tactics for this game.

English media completely underestimate Croatia and they are confident in the final, but this is just a bigger incentive for the opposing team. In reality both teams have almost equal chances to win in this game.

Croatia played very well vs Argentina and after that they just faded away. I am not impressed with their performance in the knockout stage so far. I think England have the better squad in terms of attack and defense. Croatia have better midfielders but still they are lacking good attackers in my honest opinion. It's 50-50 chance though. Today is a swedish match against Switzerland, I prefer Sweden to go into the next round. But I see switzerland statistics that they are more in the favorite. 25% for Swedish victory and 35% for Swiss victory. If their match today continues into the penalty just their luck and their superior mentality will win the match.

Its going to be a tough one to predict the winner between Sweden and Switzerland. I read some 'experts analysis' but they are divided as well. But yeah it looks like the bookies have put Switzerland as the favourite here.

It is quite difficult to select this one team will win and in actual we see upsets as well so we can not say that who will win but can support our desired teams.

I support Switzerland in this match playing today against Sweden. We have watched many tough games before yesterday Japan had a bad day against Belgium and Mexico had a bad day against Brazil. I can not wait more for the final and want to see the excitement in final but it will decide today match.

I feel like a lot of people are overestimating England. Their only convincing match was against Panama, a low-tier NT debuting in a WC.

They've had some some troubles against decent teams: vs Tunisia, a win with a 91' goal, vs Colombia they had a shitty performance but managed to win in the penalty shootout, vs Sweden, two shots on target, two goals. England isn't a super team, and I don't think they'll have an easy game against Croatia.

It's 50-50 chance though. I still prefer England. I agree that if England underestimate Croatia that will be their downfall.

It's a double edged sword. If you go through extra times and penalties you will be more tired but at the same time you will have had an extra training and a boost of confidence on how you can get past these times of adversity. If the other teams had an easy way into the finals they may be too relaxed and this may be a problem. If they were able to rest properly then they should have recovered. We will have to find out in two days.

Belgium vs France over 2.5 goals is defitinely possible giving the good attack and bad defence the Belgium has  .
I am doubting of Croatia vs England will be over 2.5 goals, Croatia has not convinced me the last couple of matches and I think England will win with 1-0 or 2-0.

A lot of things do seem to have fallen in place for England - the South American teams are out, so as strong European teams like Germany and Spain. Croatia are a good team, but England will be happy playing them in the semi-finals. England have even managed to win a penalty shoot-out this time! The England fans may not be wrong in expecting the World Cup to come home this time.

I belleive that England have better chance then Croitia to get to the final because Croatia’s been fizzling a bit and kind of gotten through by the skin of their teeth after being the best team in the groups. Seem to be battered and bruised at this point as well. England showed a bit of an good performance in their previous game, they gotta be liking their chances to make the final here. Also Croitia lost player that will be not playing against england due injury that is Atletico right back Sime Vrsaljko also Croitia have been struggling a lot since the group stages and after that match against argentina i didn't see them do a lot with them spending too much energy to progress to this stage i belleive they will not be able to remove England especialy in second half you will see a lot players tired.
