Well as you said dangerous so I understand that you mean that it is harmful or can be used for illegal actions. In this sense yes cryptocurrencies are dangerous as some people may use it to carry out their illegal activities like buying some dangerous good that is banned/illegal stated by the government & paying for it in form of cryptocurrency as a government will unable to track it, if they use banks to transfer money then yes they can be caught easily. Also, people may use cryptocurrency just to convert their black money into white money. Due to this, Governments are banning cryptocurrency as they can not track the crypto transaction & cannot monitor who holds how much amount of cryptocurrencies.

First of all, there are risks only if you are not being in this sphere before. There are risks of losing money, but the same we can find on the forex and in any things all above it. Governments are banning the crypto almost always of the reason of lack of money in the country.

Fiat is backed up by the government and people use it for all purposes, so it is quite safe. Cryptocurrencies are volatile and in a way there's some danger of people losing their money with them, which is why they get banned (because of scam as well), though not really a lot.
Perhaps the op means that dealing with cryptocurrencies is dangerous when forbidden. This is surely true, but again, most of countries don't ban it, they just sort of ignore or plan regulating cryptoccurrencies. If you, op, meant that cryptos must be dangerous if they are getting banned then perhaps you suppose that crypto users are mainly drug and weapon dealers and buyers plus gamblers, like it was at the beginning. For now it is not true, since there are various projects which are related to healthcare, charity, ecology etc. The crypto community is full of intelligent people who are far for criminal.

When you do talk about dangerous then you are mentioning on a broad range.Would you mind on saying an specific thing like on which it what sort it would be dangerous. Countries laws? Investment risk?
If you do only talk about ban then theres no danger and its prohibited and as a citizen you will really avoid on violating countries laws once you get caught then you do know the consequence.
