you can do that, go to the PAC site, look at the wallets, and look at the FAQ's there.

The Dev is doing a fork of dash.

This will be a privacy coin.

This coin will make history soon.

Sit back, drink few beers, smoke weed and enjoy the slow ride to the top.

OK I'll bite, but I'm not buying. How can PAC be a "fork of dash" when it is PoS?

DASH is PoW... So let's say it somehow incorporates DASH's anonymity features, which is unlikely...

Why should people buy this and not DASH? Because its "cheap"?

There's no whitepaper, the original website is down, and the new website and PDF release look like garbage.

They honestly look like something that somebody with zero knowledge of crypto made, but were hired as a freelancer claiming to have talents they obviously do not possess.

Without a whitepaper, every claim made by the "new community" is just fantasy.

This is obviously a bunch of big holders trying to manipulate those very new to crypto, and they didn't invest nearly enough money to do so.

The result: an obvious shitcoin pump. But what do I know, I've only been in crypto four years longer than all of you, including the original dev himself.

Cryptopia paused PAC/LTC and PAC/DOGE markets, and someone setup api bot to buy at 1 satoshi and sell at 2 ... Same thing is happening on other small exchanges where is available PAC.

That would explain why the sell wall for 2 hasn't really moved at all. Not a very smart bot, IMO.

OK that's great. Meanwhile DASH uses an algorithm called X11. How can it be a "fork of DASH"? Or are you talking about a different coin altogether?

Latest status update:

Information about the new PACcoin that will be released on February 1 (for masternodes) and March 1 (all the others) can be found here:
https://www.docdroid.net/0PtkXDK/paccoin-future-insights.pdf

Take especially a look at page 8, where PAC is compared to BTC.

The largest PAC exchange (Cryptopia) is still not allowing any trades with LTC and DOGE due to capacity problems. This means that PAC trading has stopped for the largest part. Cryptopia announced they will not rotate trading ( so 6 hours BTC, then 6 hours LTC, then 6 hours DOGE). So the majority of PAC trade is paused until Cryptopia solved this. Cryptopia asked to remove all orders for all coins that can not be traded now (this explains why there are almost no buy orders at Cryptopia now).

Keep in mind that PAC price information on Coinmarketcap is inaccurate now, and that trade prices between PAC and BTC are not a good indication of the price. This will only be the case after the redemption.

Despite the Cryptopia issue, I believe the future for PAC looks bright. The new website will be launched soon, I saw a preview and it looks great. Please stay calm and wait until the market opens again.

There will be a presentation of the new PACCoin on January 19. Please see here for more information:

could someone please tell me what does the swap mean in 1st of march?
is it like a fork that a new coin is created in addition to the previous coin? or is it like that the current paccoin is converted into a new coin?
the conversion rate is 1000:1 , it means that if u have 1000 paccoin right now you will have 1 new paccoin after 1st of march?
what do u have to do to recieve the new coin? u must have it in pacccoin wallet or keeping it in an exchange is fine?
what would the new price be if u would have 1/1000 of the current amount? whats the benefit?

@Stephen: more information will be published in time, keep an eye on the PACcoin website.

What i heard was this:

you will have to download the new wallet for the new coins first. These wallets can not be downloaded yet, but they will become available in time. After this, you send your current PACcoins to a redemption address. The conversion takes place there and the new coins will be send to your new wallet.

The new coin is much better, and can be traded against BTC. This is almost not possible now because of the low price of PAC.
Also take a look at the .PDF that I mention a bit more above this post.

Well, somebody is happy with easy way to double BTC Smiley There are also fake 3 satoshi wall which appears and disappears leaving impresion to buyers price will rise ... Simply avoid PAC for now until DOGE and LTC markets are open.

i ve downloaded their wallet 1.8gb , so you are saying that i have to download a new wallet later? what do u mean by redemption address?
and one last thing lets say i have bought some paccoin right now in some exchange, should i send them to the wallet or let them be there till the wallet u said is available?
