Please read previous posts that explain the cause of this situation. Also some seem not to be aware of the things that are about to happen with PAC, despite the fact that this has been posted recently, I will paste this short term history below this. I advise to be patient, all coins go up and down and PAC is definitely a coin with an exceptional potential to go up. Just give it some time, things just get started....

---------
The value of 1 PAC coin is low now (but still 30x higher than 4 weeks ago). PAC can only be traded against whole BTC Satoshi's, so either 1, or 2, or 3 and so on. But the decimals that you want while trading against BTC are not possible. So 1.84593 is not possible.

Friday night February 5, when trading PAC against LightCoin (LTC) just started, the demand for PAC was so high that the main PAC exchange (Cryptopia) melted and had to close trading ANY coin against LTC or DOGE. PAC was worth 0.000322 USD at the highest level, > 3000% more than just one week before. Since this meltdown of Cryptopia, PAC can only be traded against BTC on Cryptopia. And like I just explained that is not a good pair. Even after all those days, Cryptopia still not recovered from the run for PAC. On March 1, the PAC redemption will start and 3 zeros of the price will dissapear. Only as of that moment trading PAC-BTC will be possible in a more appropriate way.

According to the most recent information that I read on Discord, Cryptopia will open LTC/DOGE trading again within 2 weeks.

Current schedule:
- January 13: selection of the logo for the new PAC coin in the logo contest
- January 15: Launch #PacFyle (social network)
- January 19: Live broadcast Q & A
- February 1: Issue of #whitepaper
- March 1: Hard fork
so, we'll wait pump ? Smiley

They didn't hijack the coins. They were sitting on huge piles of them. What they did do was hijack the brand. Notice how the original website is down and a new bullshit website is up. Or don't notice it. I don't really give a fuck either way.

I don't understand why are you so interested in Pac coin evolution.
I read your previous posts, I think that your 'legendary' reputation is due to number of posts, not their quality or usefulness.

You hadn't read the whole thread Roll Eyes...about 4 months ago Pac Coin dev team changed, and it was rebranded with William Corless - the owner - approval, they hijacked nothing.

low price for a bot in a pair of pac / $?
To ensure that pac for btc is not sold, for 1 sat?
At a price of 0.00010 $ the turnover is 30btc / day, at a price of 0.00006 $ the bot buys only 5 btc.
Me will have to wait more than a month until the bot redeems pac for sat

Hi

Minting suspended due to locked wallet:
Your wallet has password, so it cannot start staking/reward
go to Help > Debug window and click Console then enter this: walletpassphrase “your-password” 9999999 true
  example: walletpassphrase i_love_money 999999 true
  i_love_money is the password

do i have to unlock and run the wallet 24/7  for the POS reward ?
  Yes

or does it rewarding offline as well ?
  No

the same for Stronghands wallet ?
  No

Yes

No, it stakes while you are online. If you quit and restart after a few days, it will catch up where it stopped. So there is no need to stay online 720 hours non-stop.

Also, you can stake with a locked wallet, you can read about this in the FAQ's at the "wallets" menu item on paccoin.net. It says:

How to unlock the wallet for minting only?
Go to Help > Open Debug Window and there type:
walletpassphrase “your-password” 9999999 true
Please notice that your password is the one you created when the wallet was encrypted.

The client is bugged and weighted to those with the most coins. There's is a coding error in the SetBestChain logic which results from several bugs in the way the 'trust' value is calculated. You can see the code here:

https://github.com/wmcorless/paccoin/blob/master/src/main.cpp

line 2047:

Code:
if (pindexNew->bnChainTrust > bnBestChainTrust)

The glitch allows PoS blocks to "reset" the chain. You can see the impact by blocks erasing, transactions going into the void (aka. confirmed and then 0'd out), and PoW blocks disappearing into the void also. it even eat other PoS blocks. The net result is that 'old' account with more stake are able to nuke new PoS, PoW, etc. which is, obviously, not right.

Luckily, the fix is simple, only accept new PoS blocks when when their height is higher than the previous block.

Code:
if (pindexNew->bnChainTrust > bnBestChainTrust && pindexNew->nBestHeight)

Now the devs just need to make it. If not, I'll post a hardfork shortly for anyone interested in a fair coin. I mined pac the day it was launched years ago and while I applaud the new launch, this needs to be corrected.

Right now, however, the largest wallets are issuing PoS blocks out of sync by several hours but they reset and fork the chain because they have a higher 'trust' score despite being several hundred or thousand blocks behind.

This is all easily observed on the blockchain explorer look at blocks:

http://paccoinexplorer.com/block/356b009bdda2c826b57b973c753705dc0ac822bd720c7047e0fc3c5f28a81b68

and

http://paccoinexplorer.com/block/ba33cb2c216b4574ea191cadfc678e01608d085eaa2f1beb7f45921a55374fd9

The second block came first in time with a much higher height which should have controlled the chain but the link above it actually reset the height by 15 blocks erasing any PoW, PoS, and TX mined during that time.

I've been watching for a few days. If you want to observe the behavior yourself because you don't trust me (I've been a blockchain dev since long before pac actually launched) you can view the output of the latest wallet in the debug.log. Search for SetBestChain(). When the chain forks due to a PoS trust block eating previous blocks you'll see the height drop:

Code:
SetBestChain: new best=00000000000d44d98ce9  height=2622715  trust=4070805786459404226  date=01/13/18 22:53:05,block hash= 00000000000d44d98ce9fa105c6f11210ece856c62d814ba5026c11db590ce85

SetBestChain: new best=1e775ca1297f46d905c6  height=2622707  trust=4070805893862858138  date=01/13/18 22:50:10,block hash= 1e775ca1297f46d905c60735ef28fbf8aeb3102be98c7f144f39b5c4ecd6d2b4

Anyway, if the devs don't want to patch the forking issue, I will and I'll post a new wallet for anyone interested. I'd like to keep one chain but that chain needs to be fair for all of those invested.

...at least that's what I believe...

^interesting i wonder how many of these shitcoin wallets are simply run by the exchanges themselves  Roll Eyes ~cryptsy was notorious for this behavior and possibly the majority of first wave PoS algo coins were made by exchange insiders?hmm>_>just my wag*

One possibility is that your passphrase has a blank space or gap. In such a case, all you need to do is to put "" to keep it intact.
