it is not about the time it takes to unlock your coins. it might as well be an instant (which is not) and still doesn't change the fact that it is a risky thing. it is about all the lost opportunities and all the lost profit that i could have made if i hadn't done that.

you waste a lot of time setting up a master node, then waste a lot of time locking your money in something that falls down hard.
meanwhile others are jumping from altcoin to altcoin that is getting pumped every day and make at least 100% profit every day with each pump. what are you doing? you have your money locked up!

I did try, but I think it is too hard and dangerous for people who did not know anything yet. not too hard, but definitely not easy for everyone. specially when you're dealing with big amount of money.

Yes, my friends have tried setting up a master node. They succeded and had some huge gainz so they went greedy and they started creating new ones instead of selling. Guess what? Those master nodes are worth 0 now.

That doesn't mean masternodes are a bad investment... Doing your research is SUPER important to invest in a good quality coin and team. Also, all coins were subject to the huge downward market movement from January to March/April.

Echoing, the majority of vote responses, i'm also interested but haven't tried masternodes. I'm guessing that if you have a GPU mining rig that is already turned on 24/7 then a masternode could be a nice way to boost profits. The only barrier to entry is the high amount of coins you will need to have.

Masternodes are the heart of growth when it comes to community engagement. Many people are missing the value add when it comes to owning a masternode. You don't have to count on developers only to participate

I believe it's worth the setup process. Masternodes have a lot of opportunity to prevelant in the future with features like decentralized governance, instant transactions, private transactions, and mining coins without the hardware costs.

I think Solaris has some potential long term because of their dev team. We still have not considered supporting it yet. We'll check it out some more

Furthermore, before you setup masternode, you needed this two: buy the amount of the required masternode. You must buy the specific exact amount required to set up the masternode. It really cost a fortune to gather huge amount of coin, just to setup masternode. But in return, you get a good ROI. Just make sure to choose the legit coin. And second, is you need to purchase a monthly vps worth 5$, you needed this to keep your masternode up and running in a virtual server 24/7 rather than running it on your personal computer. In just 5$ you can surely gain profit without using too much electricity bill and internet connectivity in your house.

Yes, I have successfully set up a few masternodes. There are guides contributed by the community around for the quite a number of projects and it is easy to follow. It take an hour or two but the experience was fun and satisfying after I managed to set up.

I do have some masternodes myself. The only costs to set up a masternode yourself is a monthly VPS and you need to buy the collateral coins necessary for the specific masternode you want to set up. I have not heard about Setupmasternodes.com but I know that it is a technical challenge to setup a masternode and if you have limited knowledge or struggle to setup a VPN server than it's probably not for you. On top you need to do some larger upfront investment as you can only setup a masternode if you have sufficient coins to your disposal.

A) I missed the boat with all the legitimate looking coins which now require thousands to invest before being eligible with the amount of tokens required
B) A ton of shitcoins had sprung up offering masternodes with no other benefit to the currency and was just a scam praying on people being interested in masternodes

From what i am read, master node is more easier than building mining rig. I am interested on master node because its more easy can reducing a lot cost than mining. Many coin in market using master node and its our opportunity earning coin by staking

I tried once by getting an amazon server and setting everything up.  It was for the Sub1X coin.  Once I got it all set up there was a huge mix up at one of the exchanges and they had to fork the coin.  I just turned it all off at that point.  If I ever do a masternode again it will have to be for a high quality and well touted coin.

The point of running a masternode is to help the network becomes stronger.
So if you really want to help the project you should rent VPNs from different countries, areas that could build a strong worldwide network instead of having all at your home.
