The fact that SecondMarket has slowed their purchases shouldn't get anyone worried.  In fact, the fund has been massively successful; They anticipated $10 million invested but have attracted $70 million to the fund so far.  This is 700% more than originally anticipated http://www.entrepreneur.com/article/230346

I suspect they have slowed down for the same reason the entire market has slowed down; everyone is just taking a much needed breather.  Consolidation periods are good.

Again, no bitcoin bought yesterday. People are scared away?

Men, the fund is only 6 weeks old. Things are progressing quite quickly IMO. They already have over $60 mil invested, which comes to about $10 mil a week!

But this week it is growing significantly slower than before

No shit. Its the holidays.

Think.

Everytime I read "in fact" on this forum I want to punch through the monitor. The amount of bullshit is now just insufferable.

 Huh Huh Huh
EM has turned bullish?

(Angry statement directly referring to another user's observation that "in fact" BTCchina appears to be in a downtrend)

At least that's how I read this.  Cool

Or is he bearish?
In fact, the fund has been massively successful; They anticipated $10 million invested but have attracted $70 million to the fund so far.

Or, does he actually make a point about people talking about opinions and calling it "fact"?

I keep getting shouted down for mentioning that people are going to buy gifts rather than bitcoins at Christmas-time.  Go figure.

Its not just buying gift, but who is investing during the holidays? No one. Everyone is in vacation mode.

Sure, because, every country in the world celebrates Christmas, and investors always take the entire season off b/c "holidays," and also because rich people tend to spend a lot more than like 1% of their net worth on gifts for others (hint: they don't, so they won't need to cash out 1/3 of their stash to buy CHRISTMAS PRESENTS lolol forreal)

Ok, next?  Tongue

And yes, pearl of wisdom here:
Honestly I have no idea what will happen over the next few months.

I find myself in the same situation. I've never been much of a fortune teller anyways, but right now, the crystal ball might as well be made of onyx given current market conditions - and I'm more talking about "Real world markets" than bitcoin market.

do you know that 25s are selling for 40 now and 10s for 25? apparently, they are already rare collectibles after only a couple of years.

Largest XBT acquisition since the top. I think the importance of this fund is being underestimated. The fact that it keeps going strong is why I don't think there will be any bear market for more than 30, maybe 45 days.
