Yeah, don't even see much point in scamming either, not like they have to do much to remain legit.
It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Where there is money to be made - there will always be scams and this of course, includes ICO scams. There are so many coins out there so it's no big surprise that many of them aren't legit.

Is there a list on here which lists all scam ICO's/coins - 100% confirmed. Not one which people believe to be.

Yes in my country there are alot of online investment that claimed they has legit coin, and they use network marketing to attrack investor, and many newcomer in crypto just believe it, many people dont really understand what is different legit crypto vs fraud crypto. Need more education of blockchain technology to understand how does it work so everyone can to make analysis which is legit and fraud crypto.

Although I have not encountered a scam, people around me have lost a lot in ICO scams. I think it's important to keep a sober mind and they are always deceived by the promised high return on investment.

The case of using ico to make money has been exposed a lot. Since the cryptocurrency market cannot be supervised, fraudsters can use it. For beginners, when investing in ICOs, be careful, take the project seriously, and invest selectively....

Check first the background of this project if it is legit. Then, have a glance to take your time to read whitepaper of the said project. Through this you can assurre that the team you were going in is true and accurate for building as team.

Because crypto popularity some scammers  try to use this way to get money easily. Purchasing an ICO and run away. So we as a crtpto user it is so dissapointing. But we xant atop people like that so be more carefull and more critics for an ICO to invest. research before join in a project token sales or better to not invest. A lot of known currency is already in thw market so buy low sell high to earn profit

I agree, scam is everywhere. There are a lot of coins nowadays and so bad to know that some of them are used by scammers who wants an instant profit by an easy and smooth way. Hence we must be careful all the the time inorder for us and to our money to be safety. It will be better before that entering the world of crypto, we have the knowledge and do our own research.

Scam on the internet is everywhere and has existed for long time before the introduction of cryptocurrency, but the rate of increase through ICOs are so alarming and that is why investors and traders are calling for regulations of ICO. That is the only way Scam coins can be wean out of the system. Newbies need to be cautious in dealing with ICOs

It really is hard to believe that there are some ICOs who are intended to scam people. There are all hypocrits and rely on the weakness of people especially those who are new to bitcoin. So sad.

we really need to careful when the choice the ICO project. scammers are really not cared about what we already do it for them. better try to read his whitepaper, roadmap, and also his project. also, check on some website which does research about ICO like ICObench, ICObazaar, trackICO etc. hope it will help.

Scam ICO's are everywhere and they are so organized and you wouldn't think they are scams. Same like what happened to bitconnect they raised enough funds and turned out to be scammed project. It's really hard to identify a scam ICO today. Because the scammers are so smart to make the project so legit. That's why always do some research about the project developer before investing in the project.

yes I think so too. where technological developments are used improperly and harm others for the sake of gain alone. also justifies any means to achieve its objectives, including deceiving and harming others. unfortunately there are still many people like that. hopefully we avoid it. my advice is more careful again in choosing the ICO to be followed. and ask for opinions of friends who are more experienced in the digital world in order to minimize any risk that will happen.

More popularity, more scammers. Cryptocurrency is now extremely popular. Before investing, you need to study the project well.
Well, do not forget that investment is always a risk

Yes, this is good advice for beginners. Now there are a lot of fraudulent ICOs and you need to have some knowledge to learn how to distinguish a real project that actually collects money for a certain project from a project whose creators have created it only with the view to raise money and a chasm. For those newcomers who do not have enough knowledge, but still want to invest, I advise you to seek advice from those who have long been in the cryptocurrency world and have more experience.
