It really is hard to believe that there are some ICOs who are intended to scam people. There are all hypocrits and rely on the weakness of people especially those who are new to bitcoin. So sad.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

I think there are too many coins now with fraud. It is hard to know that the project is worth investing, so we have to do a lot of research and analysis, we must be cautious in investing.

This is terrible and in fact today a large number of projects currently in existence are scams, and more than half of them are in the market. I think, this is happening for the most part just because many developers, if they can be called that, have learned to inspire people's trust in the project and thus they earn money. We need to be careful and selective in choosing ICO.

Yep and it's a lowblow even for these scammers to take advantage of people who don't know anything on cryptocurrency and even baiting people to invest on them because they know how to invest with bitcoins. HANDLE YOUR OWN INVESTMENTS AND NEVER LET OTHERS DO IT FOR YOU.

Well I guess we can not throw off with those kind of people in our lives, but we know that it is also our responsibility to do our own due diligence about things in order for us not to be scammed.

It's really a sad fact - now the total number of scammers and unsuccessful projects has sharply increased. Therefore, be sure to study information about the development team, documentation and project strategy.

To choose a good ICO project we need to find out about the coin
For example, you can go to coinmarketcap.com to find out, then you view its website to know about the value of a coin. The point in it should be clear blockchain, have cold storage as possible.

This year's ico project, there are too few valuable projects, and the current market is difficult to rise. Even if you invest in an ico project, there is no profit, so whether it is fraud or not. I think this is unprofitable.

Beginners need some time just to learn to analyze the ICO and monitor their development and then they can already invest small amounts.

A sadly thing about the current situation of our market. Many people used the popularity of the ICOs to scammed others. Some scammers can be found on social media sites like twitter saying if you give something they will double it in return. Let's just be careful on investing, think twice or trice before investing something. Our own knowledge will be our prevention against scammers.

Being knowledgeable is our counter attack for scammers. If you are beginner, and wanting to invest to ICO you just need to research to the coins you want to invest with. Since most of scammers used technology, especially to different social media sites, just be careful and research on them

Everything here is the same as in real life. There are those who deceive, and those who cheat. It is impossible to reliably know which project will turn out to be good, but what a skam. See the road map, look at the profiles of the team, maybe it will somehow help.

you're right.
so we should always be careful not to fall victim to a scam! my advice to you before you invest when you read the white paper and join the telegram to find out about the project.
You should also have a trading strategy to get you more money.

Please be grateful to you and those who have encountered fraud. I would like to share some of the experiences of prevention:
Signs of some potentially fraudulent ICO: lack of wallet and unclear or impractical goals, anonymous developer. The development team has no outstanding biography, or biography is not true.

The ICO has been around for several years in the cryptocurrency community. Most of these projects are mostly red flagged and by detecting you can avoid potentially risky companies:

The development team of the project is either anonymous or not well known to the community, nor is it prominent in their information. If the ICO that there are people with no reputation does not have the experience and the information is inaccurate then the likelihood they are making the possibility of a scam ICO is enormous.

No donation wallet for donations. If all the contributions of donors are concentrated in the hands of the project owner, there is nothing to prevent them from running away with money.

Target is not realistic and unclear. When a project has no clear, realistic pathway, it means that the people behind it will not know what to do to develop the best project. Worse are they do not really care because they do not really do anything.

Lack of transparency. Today, showing the stages being performed in your project to the audience is considered an industry standard in crypto. If developers do not release code, demo / beta versions of their product, behind-the-scenes video or other types of reports on their progress, maybe they have nothing to show.

If you have found an ICO campaign that displays any of the above, and especially any combination thereof, it is best to avoid contributing money to it.

Scammers have always been and will be and no one can handle it. If this area was regulated by the government it is possible that the Scam projects would be much less, but still have to endure
