The situation is tiring but it's expected since the crypto world is presently unregulated and decentralised but with time I expect fake projects to fizzle out because the community is getting wiser by the day and to everyone, ensure you research well before investing in any project.

Trick is wherever in this crypto showcase. I knoww there are a great deal of coins these days thus awful to realize that some of them are utilized by con artists who needs a moment benefit by a simple and smooth way. Subsequently we should be watchful all the time with a specific end goal to secure us and to our cash to be wellbeing. It will be better before that entering the universe of crypto, we have the learning and do our own exploration.

Scam is not only in the area of cryptocurrency. There is a scam in the banking business, there is a real estate scam and in many other business spheres. I would not say that this is inherent only in the ICO.

As long as its unregulated, simply dont touch ICOs. The Risk is much too high.
Better play cards or go to the casino.
Joke... best ist to avoid the huge risk and invest where you have rights as an inverstor. Buy shares of companies, not token.
The very single reason for to invest in an ICO is to get a revolutunary new blockchain started.
Well, hard to find a revolutionary new that is also needed by the markets...Maybe it will last 5 years for something really necessary to come(g.e. ETH).
Sure you can also make money to fund a shitcoin and sell it after 20min, but to me this is not serious investing.

But never ever invest in an ICO to get a new company funded.Serious companies get funded by selling shares, not tokens...

They should do some research first before investing their money in one particular ICO. They should learn first the necessary basis needs in order to deal crypto not to fall in scam. It is hard to move on once you've got scam at the first try.

It really is hard to believe that there are some ICOs who are intended to scam people. There are all hypocrits and rely on the weakness of people especially those who are new to bitcoin. So sad.
This is not surprising. This is a market that is unregulated and can generate huge profits. It is also filled with people who don’t understand anything. So the scammer will definitely use it. After all, this market provides a very A safe and simple platform.

I wonder why all ICOs want to raise $20mln above , it always give me concern that what are they using those money for and why are all looking at same range with different project , this show sign of scam and incompetent to proof the real of it project , even some go as far as leaving like 30% of the token to funder which to me look crazy.
We all need to be careful of ico to get in to cause many are just here to scam.

Its really painful for us to know that we became victim of scam in one way or the other.. we never knew it all along we're doing everything making all effort to post and then all of a sudden we hear that such and such ICo has fail and its scam...really its heart breaking and so we are now more careful to choose what we joined with because there are scam coins everywhere.

But now more and more investors are starting to distinguish good ICO from scam. If you choose the right option carefully, the investment opportunity is also profitable.

I am not that surprised, to be honest. Such disruptive technologies attract the attention of a large number of people, especially after huge growth at the end of the last year. And there are always been people who want to make money an easy way. Always be cautious and avoid scammers.

It's true what you say is coin fraud which is now increasingly cryptocurrency. Even this phenomenon is no longer a problem because almost mushrooms are everywhere. I myself am a victim of this coin fraud. I took part in a bounty campaign and I didn't get any payments. In addition, I have received coins but there is no market or there is a market but there is no price. but we need to fight this, at least to start carefully choosing ico and not investing all the funds in one project .

I would agree with those who think that first of all you need to have a clear understanding of ICO and then to start looking for the suitable projects, otherwise, you may fail and not get the desired income

Too much of the scam ico, they are too many of them and this is really affecting the growth of the cryptocurrency as a whole because more new investors will be afraid to join.

It is true that there a handful of scam ico projects today.
Investors need to be very careful,  study the whitepaper,  team members,  telegram chat groups of icon projects they intend investing into as to minimize the risk of falling victims of these scam icos.

Yes, 90% of ICOs are scam projects that were intended to be scams right from the beginning.

Anytime. Any market. There will be fraud. The most common thing in encrypted currencies is ICO fraud. All kinds of items are packed. You can't guard against it. All we have to do is identify these swindlers.
