It has been down for an extended period of time. I do not know why it is so hard and is taking so long to find a way to get it back up and running. In the mean time I appear to be the only one to have entered the next lottery so I am certain to win! See: http://blockexplorer.com/address/1C164nvYnofZjGVzHdJkfGLes3T1s3YsvSBoth entries are mine

I can't change that until they let me log in. I'm almost ready to just get another domain with someone else. It's frustrating me.... argh. This month's lottery will probably suffer. At least the odds always scale with size. So even though the pot may be small at least the odds will be really good.

Goxed one more time (yes kalyhost is run by mtgox). That downtime is a bad joke, absolutly un-fucking acceptable. I hope you're at least able to move your domain (in case they actually answer you some day) somewhere else. A new domain might also be a good idea (.bit?). Btw, you should add litecoin lotto. More gamble, more fun.

I know it is crazy! Kalyhost (Does the DNS) won't reply to my messages. I can't change that until they let me log in.
KalyHost has ticket-based support through ZenDesk, just like Mt. Gox. Have you created a ticket there? - http://kalyhost.zendesk.com/requests/newAdditionally, they are on Twitter and Facebook, should additional contact methods be needed. I'm almost ready to just get another domain with someone else.
BitLotto is a great brand. Though keep in mind that .com names (particularly those related to online gaming) are vulnerable to confiscation by U.S. authorities. You might wish to register it using namecoin as a .bit as well. The cost to register is 1.5 BTC. - http://register.dot-bit.org

I'll look into other domains. I honestly don't know much about .bit domains. If I sent some BTC your way could you handle all the .bit stuff for me? I really appreciate your support and you seem to be very helpful.

btclottery.com is out of business and the domain looks to be for sale. Maybe you could contact him and he would give you a good price.

BitLotto is BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you Kalyhost for fixing the problem. I've moved hosts. So we'll see how long this one lasts!!! This month obviously will be a small winning but if the website is down or not the show will go on!
Oh, and I've decided not to run BitLotto Jr for the time being.

BitLotto is BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the site lists exceptions to the "send only from wallet clients running locally" rule, and lists strongcoin as an exception. how about my wallet http://blockchain.info/wallet ? I haven't looked too much how you operate but as long as the Bitcoin address that sends the transaction is owned solely by the sender and I'm able to then sent back to that exact same address and the proper person will get the BTC then it will work. I return the winnings to the sending address. If that will work I'll add yours as well to known exceptions.

that is how the my wallet service from http://blockchain.info/wallet functions so yes, that javascript wallet service would qualify as an exception. for the record, the name of the service is "my wallet" -- i'm not affiliated with that service other than being a user and a fan.

Just curious about your accounting. Currently the address https://blockexplorer.com/address/1C164nvYnofZjGVzHdJkfGLes3T1s3YsvSshows a total of 10.25000025 BTC But 15yMh5tdiwZN5bRTvB2bWEHkbkdRBxRXxn is due a refund of 0.25 since they overpaid And 1DMhJfQofCaQk4Pn73v4pfMRdTFNTYtXLr is due a refund of 0.00000025 since they underpaid This leaves exactly 10 BTC or 40 entries However the web site shows 42 entries. So it appears the web site is off by 2 entries

Ah what the hell, might as well buy another ticket. Haven't won yet, but the odds are way better than spending the same amount of money at the gas station for a state-sponsored lotto ticket.

However the web site shows 42 entries. So it appears the web site is off by 2 entries It appears to be off by just one entry .. the 0.00000025 invalid entry. At the moment, Block Explorer shows: Received BTC: 12.25000025: - http://blockexplorer.com/address/1C164nvYnofZjGVzHdJkfGLes3T1s3YsvSThe BitLotto site shows: Jan 4 Jackpot Size So Far: 12.13 BTC Current approx odds: 1/49 or 1/(total tickets) - http://www.bitlotto.comThe key word is "approx odds". I think it says "approx" as that doesn't accommodate for the errors (the 0.50 wager instead of the intended 0.25, and the 0.00000025 invalid wager). 12.13 BTC / 0.99 [the 99% payout) = 12.25 BTC (rounded down) But then subtract out the 0.25000025 of invalids and overpayments and you get 12.00 BTC wagered. So for the site to be accurate, it should say: Jan 4 Jackpot Size So Far: 11.88 BTC Current approx odds: 1/48 or 1/(total tickets) Calculated as: 12.00 BTC wagered X 0.99 [the 99% payout] = 11.88 BTC jackpot. $12.00 / 0.25 per-ticket = 48 tickets
