FOUND MY LOST PASSWORD!!!!
I had an account with 1M NXT in it that I had thought that I had lost forever. The password that I had saved in NOTEPAD did not seem to unlock the account after I had created it (and coins had been sent to it). Turns out that my cut-n-paste from NOTEPAD was adding two end of line characters to the middle of the password when I setup the account!
I have NOTEPAD -> FORMAT -> Work Wrap on. It appears that sometime when copying from Notepad, COPY-N-PASTE is adding 2 E-O-L characters in the middle of the string where the next breaks in the display, even though the characters are not there in the notepad file.
For proof of what I am saying, I will post the account, Saved off Password and NXT Password in a few hours after my transfer (out of that account) ages a bit.
Note, this is not a problem with NXT.....It is a problem with using NOTEPAD to store passwords.
possible, but I never had problems with notepad. Pin I noticed that if i saved with Notepad, and opened with Notepad to Copy/paste all was ok. But if i opened .txt file (created with notepad) with Wordpad, i get those extra characters and the password is messed up. I've been using Notepad++ on windows and Kate on linux with no problems. Oh and while i'm at it, 0.5.3 has been running on both my machines for 24 hrs without a hickup. i had to do a refresh this morning on the windows machine, but other than that, everything is getting better. Keep up the good work and thanks guys!

So, you premined 100% and still don't do a giveaway?
So, you decided you would come in, spout your opinion and ask for a giveaway? Not asking for a giveaway. Just questioning your marketing strategies

Just questioning your marketing strategies If you'd done some research, you'd know that there have been giveaways and there still are loads of bounties for people who contribute. You'd also know that the word "mine" doesn't apply here.

Each generation new account is password and userid combination : password-userid The client should contain publicly available decryption function
@coolfish so all users with old accounts then need to create a new (checksum prefixed) version and replace the old one on all the websites. etc. what about other services like exchanges still using old or other formats formats? does it makes sense to create a recommended checksum specification, otherwise we could see different versions flooting around. perhaps a job for the nxt foundation. @ricot this is exactly what i mean, preventing e.g incomplete copy & paste going into hiberNXT but the solution has to work at all levels and in all clients and services the same way.

Number of lost Nxt:
if DGEX says he lost 800k Nxt and he owns 80 Mega, it means 1% of Nxt is probably lost: 10 Millions

some days ago i calculated the possible hiberNXT amount. while it is difficult to calculate this (you have to set additional filters) the rough amount was: 16 - 21m nxt. no public key, only one transaction. of course they could be very cold storages too. ps: if you remove the one transation filter but keep the no public key, the amount was 160m but it is unlikly that an account with more than 1 transaction is a lost transaction, even if this account has no pk.

Or is it basically just a statement that means to say "I disapprove"?

After listening to your criticism I decided to reduce the BTC withdrawal fee to 0.0001 BTC (just enough to cover the cost of the transfer) Please reconsider using NewAltEx.comThank you

As long as a few people hold 90% of the coins, this won't work.

Sounds like your not keeping up with distribution updates, and posting without actually doing research. 90% of the coins are not held by a few people anymore. Its more like 40% now, and lowering.

You would probably need a market maker initially. And you would have to spend money upfront on attracting users if you want a piece of market share over the long-term.
