There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Will I be rich in 5 years with 500 NXT?   Cheesy
Also, would you invest right now? are we in a bubble? I have been waiting and it has only gone higher.

I would... but have no BTC left!   Wink

Same, thats like im holding on these 500 NXT i have and see what happens. I would buy more but right now, I dont know if the price is even realistic due the super high rise.

Maybe this will help give some perspective. Lets say nxt got to the point where it had the same market cap as bitcoin does now.

(21million/1billion)*500*700=$7,350US

This also means just putting it in your wallet, not forging and just waiting.

Is there an api call for this:

How do I get a list of transactions associated with a specific account? (specifically incoming money transactions)

reposting in case anyone missed it:  PLEASE if there is anyone with more than 1M NXT (the more the better) and you are NOT using a hallmark for that account anywhere, please work with me in generating a hallmark for my VPSs.  Ive got one 8GB-RAM one now and would like to upgrade some  others to 8GB-RAM but theres not point b/c my account balance isnt fairly high, especially split between 5 servers.

It would be ideal to build a network of very powerful VPSs around the globe but to work optimally they need WEIGHT and weight requires a large balance of NXT

CfB,  what do you think about this idea.  my account balance is very modest compared to many big stakeholders but I am running 5 very large powerful nodes.  would it be a good idea for me to get some large account holders to Hallmark for me and let me run their large balance hallmarks on each of my 5 nodes?

I am a network engineer by trade and in general we build a core network around some very large routers. my thought here is this follows through with peer to peer and since I have 5 very large horsepower nodes but my hallmark is not very good weightd high at all because of my fairly low account balance so I'm thinking that if some high balance accounts can hallmark with my hostnames for my nodes it may help the network

I think it's a good idea as long as u don't go to dark side of the force.

okay everybody you heard from the man and since I'm here for the long haul will any large stakeholders who are currently not using their hallmark anywhere please PM me so I can get this setup

2kool4skewl I have been working on the creation of the officials NXT foundation for this purpose we have created dthe domain nxtcrypto.org another member of the forums is working on the website for it now as well the website is actually up but not very pretty at this moment in addition we will add a wiki to the official domain as well as hopefully in the future migrate a forum site to the domain as well

please if you are a large balance account and are not using your account hallmark anywhere please PM me and we'll go get this setup. those servers yyou see in peers list vpsX.nxtcrypto.org are the ones im operating on behalf of neer.g and pouncer

The best I can do is refer you to the FAQ. It´s explained here: http://nxtcrypto.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ#Forging

There is a feature I miss, I want to sort the Active peers tab by IP and Weight value, but I guess there are other priorities now, besides browser client will be discontinued in the future, I heard. But can we still use it in the future, even if it won't be supported? I mean a browser is convenient in many cases.

It's planned to create a web-based admin console

You have 500/1,000,000,000 chance to forge one block = 0.0000005 %
It will be higher because not the 100% of the coins are connected and forging.

I don't think it is a good idea until such a large stakeholder will get an ability to control hallmarking and unhallmarking by himself. Or there could be a time limit for hallmark to be valid.
