ok this thread is so clogged, lets leave the dream girls out.
I'm going to ask again if people running VPS could start sharing their experiences with different hosts they use, so we can find more and more.
This brings up something I think is very important. We need to establish a dashboard someplace off this thread where we can see facts and statistics that are accumulating or changing. How many nodes are there? How many sites? What is the current DDos level? Etc etc etc... Inquiring minds want to know. This is an interesting cyberwar to be following, we need a newsroom instead of just an endless blizzard of trench warfare reporter dispatches. get on it rickyjames.. I for one am busy setting up VPS, looking after my daughter and watching Arsenal hammer the Hammers oh and trying to build this litecoin mining rig, ha forgot about that Sorry, I'm Andy Rooney on 60 Minutes and I'm dating myself with that reference for the people that even get it. My website skills are non-existent. I defer to somebody that knows what they're doing. |

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Sent you some donations, though, perhaps, small :-) Being completely new to the world of cryptocurrencies, I tried to setup my VPS using your instruction (thanks a lot for that again!). Few minor troubles I got: - in the beginning, my server was replying with the black screen, which said something like "Matrix has you..." It toook for me a while to understand, that I suppose to add my IP number to the parameters of the allowed hosts, shown in web.xml. - in ordeder to made that working, I had to pkill Java and launch it again, so it uses the updated schema. It might be obvious for majority of the ppl here, but for me it took some time to understand :-)))) If you add those recommendations to your guid, it would be even better, I think... I set up a VPS for NXT node at : 162.243.223.161 . Hope it will be useful for the whole community. Kind regards thanx, I'll add some lines about Matrix now |

I set up a VPS for NXT node at : 162.243.223.161 . Hope it will be useful for the whole community.
Put you in the nodes file. Remember to hallmark the node, if you haven't already, so that the list gets a closely knit core network. Add: Oh, it seems I received a nice small donation from an unknown source. Greatly appreciated, thanks! |

Using portforward, a dyn DNS service and updating hallmark and address in the config on every IP change should work... Inconvenient, but doable.
I understood from CfB in discussions a week ago that this still wasnt good enough. I guessed because it required correct reverse DNS lookup... CfB, can you confirm if this is true? |

about test net:
how many nodes are the minimum?
is it for permanent testing also longer term?
(later for this we could migrate the current vps node infrastructure step by step into the test net if we have enough NxT-user)

I can give a bounty to whoever implement it - it is of great importance to be ready after 3rd Jan every change to run it first there.
Even know it would be good.
