no i see 25403.. i had it running for a day or two.

what now?

its impossible to work like that. i think the theory behind the system needs to be reconsidered. if everyone is in its own branch and sends transactions and requests that are lost in limbo and needs to check and redownload .zip files ..well i do i need to say more?

Increase amount of connected peers. Two days at 0.4.7e, two restarts of JVM-server. No problem with staying syncronized. I increased from base 20 to 1000 (often displays ~150-175 active peers in client). And add well-known peers form list from last pages, it may help.

Those parameters lays there: "\webapps\root\WEB-INF\web.xml".

We're in alpha version!

Someone needs to wake up Dgex host.. Been buggy all night (worse than usual) looks like it's rattling panick sellers..!.. Easy we'll be on BTC-e soon hopefully. Wink
BTC-E has already rejected afaik

Anyhow, nothing to worry about
where's the evidence that it was rejected?
lol the coin is still in beta and source code not even released and you expect it to be on BTC-e already? they will add it once the system has proven itself I bet.

[I see it now in the blockchain explorer. Did you receive it yet? Refresh the page if not.

http://87.230.14.1/nxt/nxt.cgi?action=2000&tra=4573184923742316796

I still have not received anything and my cmd hasn't printed anything in a while. I figured that was because I have no NXT. Am I missing anything?

Adding well know peers in your web.xml increase your chances to be on real main blockchain at any moment

Instructions:
1- Close your java process (if it's running)
2- Go to the following directory nxt/webapps/root/WEB-INF/
3- Open web.xml with a text editor
4- find this line:
Code:
<param-name>wellKnownPeers</param-name>
5- into the following lane copy/paste the easyCopyString between <param-name>HERE</param-name>
6- it will looks like:
Code:
<param-name>wellKnownPeers</param-name>
<param-value>87.230.14.1; 46.19.137.116; 95.85.22.142; 162.243.214.183; scum2.bounceme.net; 162.243.213.115; node11.nxtbase.com; 78.46.63.221; scum5.bounceme.net; scum4.bounceme.net; vps5.nxtcrypto.org; node16.nxtbase.com; scum.bounceme.net; scum2.bounceme.net; scum5.bounceme.net; scum6.bounceme.net</param-value>
7- save
8- restart next java process

easyCopyString:
162.243.214.68; 95.85.46.164; 162.243.216.55; 162.243.143.15; 95.85.46.249; 93.190.92.74; 37.209.120.192; 93.190.92.75; 85.25.134.59; 93.190.92.76; vps1.nxtcrypto.org;  vps2.nxtcrypto.org;  vps3.nxtcrypto.org;  vps4.nxtcrypto.org;  vps5.nxtcrypto.org; nxtwallet.com; 31.220.50.208; nxt.ddos.me; 203.174.12.25; 88.198.142.92; 66.197.138.90; 64.120.180.106; 109.230.224.65; 80.86.92.50; node1.nextcoin.it; node2.nextcoin.it; node3.nextcoin.it; node4.nextcoin.it; node5.nextcoin.it; nxt.homer.ru; 31.204.130.123; 209.222.0.194; 209.222.16.10;

They use to reject all community requests and only add what they personally feel like. Look at the coins traded at BTC-E... TRC? NVC? FTC? Oh well... outdated. Yet no changes so far.

Agree, I don't think you guys should be worried about being added to the big exchanges yet. Big exchanges always need to check the source code to guarantee of no fatal flaw before consider adding a new commodity. Just wait after January/ 3. When they see the source code, they will jump in to add Nxt in no time.

Nxt might have competition for features soon: Open Transactions desktop software platform for bitcoin and other currencies..they have been hard at work for months / years but I believe the new videos is a re-assertion of their place in the marketplace in light of the recent popularity of nxt…If they launch before our other advanced features, we will still have the speed and green forging advantage..not to mention it will actually take time for other crypto's devs to coordinate and start integrating.. thought this was worth sharing.

Log out / log back in again, make sure you are on block 25816 or more.

I am pretty sure I am on block 24225 as that's the latest block in the block menu. What should I do to resolve this?

Being honest, I have yet to have any problems with my transactions with Dgex.com. perhaps I just catch them at a good time (during their work hours)
Only the downtimes have been killer.

Funny thinking how it doesn't fit with NXT.. very true.. and yet.. shouldn't it be this way early on in beta? one or a small group of people you can trust manual transactions etc. With all these coins at stake who knows what kind of losses or strange thefts could be had were we all trying to use a bunch of rinky dink exchanges. Some doge exchange  just had like 10 mil coins stolen I believe.

This just seems low budget, but I could even see Dgex being approved upon too!

Not soon. Base target changes: some blocks come sooner, some blocks come later, and target adjusts to 1 block per minute, and for u it multiplies by "your coins/all coins" (Proof-of-Stake; get harder for low-coiners, but protect all network from attack), later it'll also multiply by "active coins/all coins" (get easier for active) — transparent forging (postponed feature); chance of forging changes, so average time changes. Divide "estimated time" by 1 min, if I'm correct (personally I'd love to see calculated % at client), and u'll get your chance to forge next block.

Same here, I've never had a problem with deposits, withdrawals or trading. Downtime is worrisome, but not to me in particular because I never panic buy/sell Grin

But I saw earlier we are getting a new exchange by Monday, so that would help spread the load a bit! (And have a higher combined uptime)
