So yesterday I created an address by choosing a pass-phrase, but now, when I get to localhost:7874 and put that pass-phrase, a different address appears. How can I access my original address?

Give me your new address and old address and I will check the balance in the old one and reimburse you what you have lost (within my means) if you can't remember it.

Just remember the new passphrase!!

I'd really appreciate your help. My new address is 11167183571272945597. The old one is 15833482877956085624.

You had 1047NXT in your old account. I sent 1047NXT to your new account. Don't forget the passphrase! Smiley

NXT VPS Server Donations can be sent here: 6044921191674841550
At the end of each month I will donate some of them back to the community.
This is separate from my main wallet so you can keep track of them. I will keep them in there and only use them for hosting.

I would really like to hear from other people who tried NXT on their Pi. What are the optimal settings, what can be tweaked performance-wise etc

There have been quite a few downloads of my all-in-one package, so there should be multiple tests going on.

I am working on it but it will be  few hours before I can report.

Also this place has FREE Rasp-Pi co-location in Austria: http://www.edis.at/en/server/colocation/austria/raspberrypi/

I am living in Vienna. Let me know if I can do anything.

I think there are client bugs in the Mac. I have refreshed, reinstalled, many times. It never gets in sync, usually gets to a negative balance. Just confused.

I am assuming the only way to mine is from the client, but how can you mine if the client never gets the right block chain? I did see it mine yesterday before the int overflow, since then always orphaning, etc.

Is there some changes that need to be made to the files in nxt folder?

I am starting from 4.7e

James
I suppose u didn't change any parameters, my suggestion is: you go to "/webapps\root\WEB-INF\web.xml" and change maxNumberOfConnectedPublicPeers to bigger number. I changed to 1000, no problems, but benefits. And look through some pages backward for posted IPs of 0.4.7e nodes (with correct rolled back blockchain cos of integer-bug).

In addition I'll give you some look good (IMO) for that moment:
vps2.nxtcrypto.org
vps3.nxtcrypto.org
vps5.nxtcrypto.org
scum6.bounceme.net
46.19.137.116.

My totals: 83/302/22 peers.

Hi! Just wanted to remind you, that there is a guy on the Nxtalk chat (http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=#) named j0b , who helped last night to investigate on the issue with the huge transaction fee and the incorrect amounts bug. He already discovered a bug before (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345619.msg4102610;topicseen#msg4102610) with ZjP.
Although 2Kool4Skewl and me provided his accountnumber earlier and asked for some bounties, he only received 650 Nxt. I would like to ask everyone, especially the guys with 10+M accounts to appreciate such contribution and send some Nxt to j0b and all fellows who help discover bugs and help this project succeed. If we loose them, we loose the project.

His account number is 13570469120032392161

Thank you!

All my effort I have put in on NXT is stolen by others, just like optical is telling, who received huge bounty's.

I warned you all for dgex that it was a huge security flaw.

Recieved in all that time some NXT from exactly 2 stakeholders.

One moment I proposed even to buy a little amount of NXT from someone, NOBODY wanted to sell.

I was devoted to NXT, but from now one you can go on with them thiefs.

sorry guys I dont follow you all this road.

edit: look out, or some day you will choke on all your NXT hoarders.

Just so you know, one of your biggest fans is bi-polar.

That 'pinarello' guy loves you, then hates you minutes apart. Word to the wise, I would not trust him.

Ok enough is enough. I had never said anything wrong about emunie, but since you wanna start a smear campaign to me in person... Visin, go take a piece of the big emunie pie before it is started, mister "decentralized in your sig" emunie is a compagny, that has nothing to do with crypto or what its stands for, you guys mean big business, nothing wrong wuth that but you should warn the people and change your sig., Here a little coversation about the "foundation" already rolling over the florr over who will get what !

Posted 07 September 2013 - 07:34 AM
I started a discussion yesterday (when Dan was also present and contributing too). We didn't miss-interpret anything but revising the ideas about the foundation structure and I humbly offered this:
After things get done, codes finalized, final group of members determined and set by Dan, and we were approaching the public launch, from that point on, all the founders will have an equal share+vote power in the future foundation agendas. There will be a foundation capital +some plans of development. Every plan or project that would be introduced or offered, will be decided by the founders voting and then a fund from the capital will be assigned for its implementation. From this point on, every person, a founder or some developer guy from outside being hired, also the inventor and/or designer of the project, will be paid from that fund being assigned for the project proportionally, of course people who invest more time and talent in future should be paid more, and that is the way we have by paying these people something like salary for their amount of contribution, even outside investors can come in (by foundation collective permission) and invest and instead, they can be paid up a percentage of the project profit or even some founders' share (again by foundation decision), but the main line of profit will go back to the foundation capital from which every founder has an equal share..
And as we discussed yesterday, Dan will have a kind of veto power, so if at any point things go to wrong sides, he can stop and re-correct them (his analogy was like the US president dealing with congress collective decisions).

No need for a donation. Pass it along to someone else. No way for me to get your old account coins. Someone may stumble across them at some point if the use the same phrase

Very possible it will. I'm in fork for almost 50 mins now  Tongue

Added: Java restart helped to immidiatly sync with network. In the future there'll be no need to restart  Roll Eyes

Zero,

Don't say that. I am assuming if you are on the wrong fork, forging won't work. Will it eventually fix itself. Does it even have a chance of running unattended for 2 weeks?
I can't mine on the laptop, too old java refuses to install

Yeah, there's a chance: main-source nodes under attack and pretty unaccessably for you for 720 blocks of some fork. Will stuck forever.

And I've a question: after 0.4.7e there's time to time chance to start getting negative block numbers. It's infinite loop, if started? What's the trigger for such thing? When this happens, thter's no correct forging, right?

If I ran a giveaway thread would any large stakeholders be interested in donating to it?

It is very important that large stake holders don't horde their coins or this project will die on the vine. We are already being accused of being "oligarchCoin" and this problem HAS to be dealt with swiftly if we want this project to prosper.

I'm not asking anyone to be altruistic here. If you are a stakeholder with 50million coins it is in YOUR self interest to give half of them away (im not asking you to give me 25million coins Tongue). If you widely disseminate half of your coins than the remaining 25million will probably be worth more someday than the 50 you otherwise horded. If you are such a large stakeholder than i understand that you probably don't have time to run a giveaway thread so that is why I would like to do it for you!

For those who are concerned that these coins will hit the market and drive down the price. I don't think that is such a worry. People who receive 10, 50, or 100 coins arn't going to turn around and dump them on dgex. It isn't even worth their time to register on dgex. But they definitely might register on dgex to buy more coins once they have had a taste.

If there is anyone who would like to support me in this, the amounts that i give out will be weighted by activity, post count, membership seniority and registration date. I will also be reading their posts to make sure they pass the turing test. I will take countermeasures to insure that spammers do not exploit my thread.

If you are sitting on < than 3 million coins this is not for you. Like i said before im not asking for altruism, im asking for the help of people who it is in THEIR interest to give away coins, if you have less than 3 million than your interest is just to keep them for yourself. However what you can do to help is pass this message on to anyone you know who may be a large stake holder.

PM me if you are interested.
