DGEX sent my first exchange withdrawal to an incorrect NXT address. They were supposed to send to 12510982507347853737 (where they did send one withdrawal) but instead sent to 125109250734753737. The second address is empty in blockchain explorer except for my transaction so I'm guessing it is unused. Is there any way to get my NXT out of that account?
No. Gone. But not forever, in 10 years someone will pick the key. |

There is no way to get your nxt out of that account unless you know the pass-phrase of that account to access it. You best bet is to contact DGEX and ask if they can compensate you as it's their mistake. |

No. Gone. this is called darkNXT, we know it exists but it cannot interact with anything, short of cracking the password. James |

Walk the blockchain, adding up the balances of accounts that don't have an assigned public key? But theoretically I can still send Nxt to an account without a public key, in an offline mode. But that is a good idea, I wonder if Blockchain Explorer can calculate easily. |

You best bet is to contact DGEX and ask if they can compensate you as it's their mistake. Please note DGEX sends withdrawals directly to the address provided by the customer. Perhaps add a second level of security in checking the public key of the account, and if it doesn't exist, tell the customer the account number may not be correct and to double check it. If they insist (funding an account for the first time, for example), display a warning about double-checking as funds will be unable to be recovered if address is wrong and require a captcha to proceed. |

All, What a day again, but at the end, clients popping up, source code released, Wesley was here with new work etc... Just to remind you all what a great community this is and I want to thank everyone for his great efforts. We will succeed. That said: The only black spot today was dgex and its founder, as I cannot find myself in all what is happening there, and as I cannot accept the dictatorship of one person on the exchange and the forum I will leave the forum nextcoin.org. I hope many will follow because staying there is supporting his acts and supporting that kind of behavior. Only the best is good enough for NXT and imo dgex and its founder doesn’t fit in there. NXT is more than some code and a client, it involves people also, it involves a way of thinking, what happened today with dgex can’t be further away from what NXT stands for. NXT is strong and getting stronger every day, and it will survive without dgex and nextcoin.org.
