The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

I want to provide a bounty for integration of a fully functional torrent client built into one of the nxt clients. Most importantly I want some type of decentralized magnet link system that provides useability at the level that a high quality torrent site provides (eg. Pirate bay level). I'm not a programmer/developer so I don't know, is this in some way possible? Is it a huge undertaking?

I started working in this direction some time ago. Take a look if you are interested:

ANNOUNCEMENT  Nxt Net Application http://95.85.8.113:9000/nxtnet

P.S. I'm surprised nobody tried to upload a torrent file; I recall someone wanted this feature very much.

I think its cause no one got how to do.
With an step by step how to it would get more drive...

Let me explain then.

1. Download torrent file; you need to convert it to the magnet link to publish (will take <1min).
2. Go to the app page: http://95.85.8.113:9000/nxtnet
3. Go to link "torrent to magnet link converter (external)".
4. Upload torrent file there, copy the magnet link to clipboard.
5. Return back to the app page.
6. Paste the magnet link to the URI field.
7. Add description.
8. Add it! That's all Smiley

I got no idea what's going on with Nxt.  I hear people talking [...]  But, that's just what I hear,  I got no real clue of what really is happening to this coin.

So you're not even running NRS, just being a gossip girl, did I get that correctly?

No,  we just have a completely refactored version.

Ups. How to insert an image?

OK, I'm done with this guy.

Sorry to all people who had this person on ignore and had to see all this posts quoted  Cheesy

Next week I'm going to showcase all the 3rd party clients to get some well deserved attention for them.
The announcement on my blog is here

The list in the post is not exhaustive. I'm in contact with some more developers, but I wanted to push out a post to get the ball rolling.

However, if you are a developer of a client and I've not contacted you, please PM me!

I did not forget you on purpose, but so much is going on, I'm bound to forget someone. I'll be happy to include you.

Thanks Smiley

I like the more industrial feel of these 2 non-precious metals. And everyone has gold or silver....

What about Palladium? It's heavily used in modern industry and more expensive than Platinum.

Can you please go discuss with FC in his own NEX thread.

It's locked.

Well, could you kindly ask your 'Nxt Posse'  to unlock the thread?

FC can't hear me (me ignored by FC), but I have no bloody idea why his thread is locked, and I want to know why myself...i was having fun there.

I'd definitely like to see a titanium:

or maybe stainless steel version:

I'm afraid that common people will see brushed metal or titan = silver.

I would coordinate with nxtru (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345619.msg4739056#msg4739056) and nexern, perhaps they can put something together.

Platinum is more expensive than Paladium.

Don't get that confused.

I see. How does it work in Qubic? Haven't seen some piece of information on the Qubic forum.

Only a part of the network knows about the transaction when u send money from A to B. Then u send the money from B to C and again only a part of the network knows about it. U repeat the process several times until only a few (or none) peers have the complete graph from A to B to C to ... to Z. More steps == higher anonymity.
I'm thinking how to implement the same in Nxt by using Service Providers who could behave similar to Qubic peers.

Would work like network proxies for connections.

It's not that simple. Math proof, peer review, etc.

marek3ball, how about designing a 3D render that is round like a coin but doesn't go for a traditional coin look? Perhaps using some of the colors/designs on http://www.nxtcrypto.org/ for inspiration?

This might help establish its 2nd generation / more than just currency appeal.

Hm. My data is really outdated. When I was developing an economic game Palladium was more expensive than Platinum:

But now it's not.

In the end, you will run into the same issue of knapsacking. Can you show the runtime complexity for cracking that mixing?

I would be interested in the runtime complexities for cracking each mixing solution (coinjoin, coinjoin+variance, zerocoin, zerocash, qubic).

Why pick expensive materials?

Why not more commonly used and more useful materials?

Carbon steel for example. Steel is also very recyclable.
