500,000 NXT! aldrin is currently dealing with personal issues and is not able to follow NXT as closely as he wants to. However, he is very committed to the success of NXT and has asked me to coordinate how his NXT is distributed. As a proof of concept, he wants to start with 500K NXT. If this works out we will continue this, hopefully for a while.
The first step is to get a trusted person to handle the funds. I hope Anon136 or rickyjames or joefox will volunteer as treasurer. The treasurer would be responsible for creating the NXT acct and making disbursements. I would be responsible for coordinating spending decisions.
I look to the NXT community for ideas on how best to spend the 500K. This is a big responsibility and I want to make sure the best ideas that are currently not getting any funding gets funded. If you are able to work fulltime on NXT, PM me how much NXT it would take and what you will be able to do if you were working fulltime on NXT.

Of course I'll volunteer as treasurer. I'm from Tennessee, the Volunteer State!

Of course I'll volunteer as treasurer. I'm from Tennessee, the Volunteer State! Great! Please create account for fund and post. I will get it to aldrin who will send NXT Now, we just need to figure out how to spend it wisely! I think recruiting people into NXT community as active members is important and is ultimately the best use of funds, if we get the right people. I want to run the fund as decentralized as possible, but at some point someone (me) has to be the tiebreaker to allow things to happen even if there isn't 100% consensus. By separating the fund into several different categories, I hope that I can make most of the people happy most of the time. James

I would be willing to do it for significantly cheaper and you don't have to pay me until you see the final product, as long as I have CfB's promise that I would get paid for it.
We need a trustless solution. You cut off the part where I mentioned maybe escrow would be better if you are pointing out that I am trusting you Or are you saying my solution isn't trustless? I'm talking about the actual algorithm I put together. The only trust involved in my algorithm is that someone will come along next who also wants to use the mixer, and I could save up some money via fees, to pay for those situations myself when getting this thing started. If that's too much trust though, so be it, I've got other ideas for ways I can help Nxt get ahead Anyway if you guys haven't seen it yet and are interested, here's the zerocoin whitepaper: http://spar.isi.jhu.edu/~mgreen/ZerocoinOakland.pdfI'd be fine hiring the Zerocoin or Anoncoin guy(s) to do it for us. And I guess I'm just saying that mixing is seen as being politically charged and potential way to launder money.. whether justified or not. Ur solution looks like it requires trust to 3rd party.

I am leaning towards getting Zerocoin/Anoncoin guys to do it, unless they're ridiculously expensive. What we need is someone reputable that can ensure safety and privacy. This is the one function that can afford no fuckups

I'm running 0.5.10 and my block height is at 46,974. Target is 1302144826%.
I just deleted the blocks.nxt and transactions.nxt and redownloaded everything because it was acting funny and I thought that would fix it.
