In fact we have 31 swarmers at this point, the goal and funding only reaches for 30.
So if we're going to add more SWARMers I'll first have to ask the funder of this project.

Let me put forth an idea I had that would be a natural for swarming.  There's a hundred other boards on a hundred other cryptocoins out there.  What if we came up with a list of those boards and assigned say three boards per swarmer.  They all go and establish accounts on those boards...maybe with a universally agreed username and password?  Then we start leaving posts at each board to the effect that "Your crypto is cool but your should diversify into just one more...NXT."  This would potentially get us a lot of new crypto-savvy members as well as developing some undercover scouts to let us know of interesting developments at a particular crypto that might be exploited by NXT.

Can you tell from this idea I am looking forward to the second season return of my current favorite TV show, The Americans?  For all you Russian / East Europeans, it's a spy drama that tells the tale of a married KGB team undercover in 1980s Washington DC.  It's only 90% as good as Breaking Bad, but that's plenty good enough...especially when it stars Keri Russell, whom I fell in love with back in her Felicity days decades ago.  What great hair she had then!

http://www.fxnetworks.com/theamericans

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Americans_(2013_TV_series)

http://screencrush.com/the-americans-season-2-trailer-full-keri-russell/

I have actually thought about it earlier, but I decided against it because it requires a lot more dedication. If you just register and say "NXT IS GREAT" you'll be flagged instantly and it'll be dishonest. What one would have to do is get someone who would be willing to spend time building a relationship with them and then bring up NXT and perhaps show them some of the infographics I got made like: http://www.nxtcrypto.org/nxtcoin/nxt-vs-quark

But I think you'd just be flagged, most altcoins are in a shitty condition now that NXT, Ethereum, Emunie etc. is taking over and they know it, so anyone suggesting anything other than their own coin would be insta downvoted.

I think it's better that we just keep on focusing on getting NXT out there to the public, that way everyone will check it out regardless.

@CfB - so, details on the 1000 TPS NXT block chain.   At 128 bytes per transaction, do you agree NXT is adding 10 GB per day to the blockchain if each transaction is carried along in it forever?  Is this practical, or will NXT be doing ongoing blockchain pruning somehow instead?  If so, what is the max size of the NXT blockchain in 1000 TPS mode?

Like I said, I thought they were already implementing some type of reputation system for the decentralized exchange. Why not just tie this reputation into the voting system. Sounds way better than just pure 1Nxt=1Vote to me.

Oh, and I already have over 100k. And I think you mean $10,000 not $1000  Smiley

I'm not 100% sure what the NXT devs are implementing, but the true decentralized exchange is trustless. Anything else (like ripple clone, counterparty) would just be false marketing.

There is a 100000 NXT bounty for an automated DAC gateway

There are devs working on an automated DAC gateway that will do blockchain transactions in other cryptos. What this means is that NXT <-> ANY will be able to be traded directly using the DAC. With a little more effort, the Asset Exchange can be setup to trade ANY and when you want to redeem it, the ANY will end up in your ANY wallet.

So, decentralized trustless exchange is possible with NXT, once we get the automatic gateways. Still looking for feedback and help from the people who can figure out some details that are a bit beyond me, but I have full confidence all these issues will be solved.

ANY: can be any other crypto that we add support for, eg. BTC, PPC, XCP, etc.

Also, counterparty already does trustless exchanges for XCP <-> BTC. It can do this because it is implemented right on top of BTC blockchain

What is DAC? Decentralized Autonomous Corporation?

Also, do you know where is the full bounty list? I'm only aware of https://nextcoin.org/index.php/board,8.0.html but I don't see anything about a decentralized exchange there

It is brand new, came out yesterday and docs not updated yet. This is a bounty from NXTcommunityfund

I am also waiting for feedback on more DACs and will attach bounties to the ones that make the most sense.

If you should destroy nxt, at least you can fucking donate them to needing people around the world (homeless children of manilla). Would be many that would cry their eyes out if they got that kind of money.

True. Destroying them would be the dumbest idea.

Quote
As of 2013, there is speculation that some state cryptologic agencies may possess the capability to break RC4 even when used in the TLS protocol. Microsoft recommends disabling RC4 where possible.

Why Nxt uses RC4? Why isn't the connection encrypted with AES?

In this 2nd video with Anon136, we will discuss how the Nextcoin (NXT) network defends against a 51% attack which some consider to be a weakness in the Bitcoin protocol.

We will discuss the possibility of such an attack on the Nextcoin (NXT) protocol in theory and if it really is possible in reality.

Its *NOT* the GW debate...read the post, carefully avoided Global Warming completely.
Pollution yes, GW, no, so lets not start in on it.

Right. If one time gw is confirmed and accepted by 95% of people we'll play this card. For now it's 50/50.

I can't let this go: http://climate.nasa.gov/scientific-consensus
97% consensus that climate change is man made.

The problem Uniqueorn, is that real science is NOT done by consensus. If that were the case, then we'd still think that the earth was at the center of the universe... I could go on and on with examples of why consensus has no place in the scientific method. Furthermore, I need to point out the MASSIVE incentive governments have in paying scientists to come up with the statistics they want people to see. Don't you see just what kind of money is involved in 'carbon taxing' every single person on earth?... Right now we're seeing record low temperatures all over the world. They changed 'global warming' to 'climate change', and I'm sorry... but the earth's climate has been changing for something like 4.5 billion years.

I could go on and on. The main thing is: real science isn't done by consensus.
and second: If people want to agree that the earth's climate is changing in a negative way, that's fine. Just DON'T steal peoples money through taxation in an attempt to fix the problem. It won't work. Yeah, plant some trees or something. But FORCE is NEVER the answer.

WHY THE MOTHERFUCKING CUNTBUGGLE DO YOU BRING UP TAXES AND FORCE? This has NOTHING to do with NXT.

Climate change has ALL the emperical evidence on it's side. He asked for consensus and I gave it to him. If he wants EVIDENCE and studies I will also hand that to him. NO PROBLEM.

Your conspiracy theories are just fucking boring, as someone who has studied and still keep physics as a main interest: please stop talking about science as if it is possible to manipulate 97% of climate scientists to lie or "publish or perish" the same conslusion. That's not how the sciences are done. Sorry to burst your bubble.

We are seeing LOCAL temperature lows around the globe, yes, but the GLOBE is warming up. See the difference? Local = climate change. Global WARMING. ITS STILL FUCKING WARMING GLOBALLY HENCE THE NAME GLOBAL WARMING. PLease can you please understand this?
People like you are the reason they had to change the name to "climate change" because people like you are too scientifically illiterate to understand that GLOBAL means GLOBAL and not your backyard.

I can't fucking continue this discussion. You are not worthy

welcome on my ignore list Al Gore Fanboy

Let me know if I can do something more. If you like it I can give you the 3d model.

I like ur pic but I asked for ivory on slate with ornament on the border for that amount.

Sorry for asking too much questions :p Do you mean like this (sketch);

No. The logo must be not cut. But this part in ur pic, repeat a lot of times, must form the border.

can we at least come to consensus on this: use some of the fund to extend or reinstate cfb's contract if he agrees. + this if you agree

@CFB are you open to this?

No, sorry. I have other things to do.
