Our team obtained many of the cryptocurrencies that were frozen on Cryptsy's servers when the exchange collapsed. The StableCoin wallet.dat was among those recovered. We are now in the process of giving these wallet files back to their respective communities. The wallet has not been inspected and it's unknown if it contains any coins. If you are a developer of this coin, or a longstanding community member, you can file a request for the wallet in this thread: https://www.gldtalk.org/index.php?topic=3789.0

It's being traded on Cryptopia. hi guys, maybe you want to keep an eye on this thread too https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1154491.0ive been trying to manage the coin for almost 2 years and was lucky to get sbc listed on cryptopia back then. its also on novacoin btw. if there's enough interest i can try to get it listed on more (smaller) exchanges. there are some other folks in the other thread who are trying to build some services. we had someone who volunteered to put up a block-explorer but i noticed it was down so i'll try to get us a new one. or host one on a vps. glad to see some new interest in this old but still stable coin mining activity has increased alot

I think it may be convenient way to get rid of some older unprofitable coins. There's at least one other coin which is in the process of delisting because of "wallet issues" when it seems to work fine elsewhere.

Do you guys know how to decide how many threads to solo mine? I see its default is 99 threads. I have a Threadripper CPU and am unsure how many threads it can handle, thought only 8 or 16.

Sounds like you might be trying to do "addnode x.x.x.x" in the debug RPC console of the client? It's possible the Stablecoin source doesn't support this. You need to put the addnode= lines into the config file (StableCoin.conf) You can also add one or more addnode directives to the commandline by prepending a dash: -addnode=x.x.x.x

Do you guys know how to decide how many threads to solo mine? I see its default is 99 threads. I have a Threadripper CPU and am unsure how many threads it can handle, thought only 8 or 16. You'd be wasting electricity trying to mine this coin with a CPU. Current difficulty is about 6. I would only consider CPU mining if it was more like 0.001, and even then it would be very inefficient. This coin is barely profitable (maybe even a paper loss) when mining with dedicated ASIC equipment. FWIW, process threads (which is the 99 count above) are not directly related to CPU threads. Process threads are multiple parts of a single application. CPU threads are more like virtual cores that multiple processes (and their process threads) are spread over. So you can have more threads per process than exist CPU threads.

Im wondering that what kind of software do people use to put up web stores? I haven't seen any capable of listing prices in more than one kind of currency and updating appropriately as they float against each other.

Any new news on this coin? It appears that the new owners of Nova Exchange plan to list Stablecoin SBC on their exchange soon. Artos must have moved on to new projects. Couldn't find any pools or websites supporting SBC, although version 1.5 of the wallet is still available on GitHub. Also, there are no active nodes to synchronize the wallet for mining and transactions.
Not sure why Nova Exchange has decided to list it under these conditions.
